So much gold in this video 👏
So much! Where’s this guy been all my life?
Getting the club head to the ball early enough is actually extremely hard. Your stuff made me realize what actually needs to happen, especially the no turn cast videos. Thanks for that!
Please do more webinars like these Monte! 🙏 We could listen to you talk all day
Love the straight to the point, no bs explanations. Great wisdom here.
Love your tips on Golf. You along with Dr Kwon and Mike Malaska have helped me tremendously from the point of nearly giving up Golf to loving it again.
You have all helped me change my 30-year-old swing and I am now hitting the ball straighter and further. I must now concentrate on chipping and putting . Thanks.
Great vid Monte. Power Shift is fantastic and so easy to understand for all level of golfers. Thanks for taking the time to make these types of vids 🙏
Great video, detailed but explained well
Hi Monte, just discovered you on TikTok now CZcams. Love the detail and PACE. Remember the average golf age ( unfortunately) in the UK is 60. Many thanks.
this has unlocked the door................finally. thanks. Seriously Thank you so much. I would have never ever suspected left vs right hip. It works. I now stay on the wall in a DYNAMIC movement and not cas someone told me to try and keep back to chair.
100% again my man. Content is great.
You are absolutely spot on!!!!
Excellent description of the “wrench” pivot. I see so much of this move at the range it’s crazy. And these same golfers are trying all sorts of other fixes which fail because they are out of position. Thanks Monte.
You are a star Monte. Lots of brilliant insight. I am the slow rhythm and tempo guy. I am going to speed up and see what happens.
Love your take on malaska move
This was generous. Thank you.
Monte - you are a very interesting guy to listen to. (I am a beginner)
Great video, man... Exactly right. Great distinction. Edit: hip movement explanation. The "Alaska" move?? 😂
THANKS MONTE!
Love the hip thoughts. I agree 100% but think of it in a different way: which hip goes BACK: right on the backswing, left on downswing. Keep ass on the glass. Bad golfers move their hips forward: left backswing, right downswing.
Same concept, just my mind digests it differently.
Good stuff!
found you 2 weeks ago. massive improvement from your content
Love that you mentioned the Tour Tempo app. Which tempo are you most near?
I don't remember who but watched long time ago about putting butt crack over lead heel on back swing. My struggle has always been firing right and left on downswing. Pull city.
I lose my tush line on the backswing just like Monte described. I have tried the right hip on backswing and left on downswing move before and I kept hitting it on the toe so I stopped doing it. I never told my pro about my losing the tush line on the backswing, but in my most recent lesson he had me stand closer to the ball. My miss is still an occasional toe strike. I haven’t videoed my swing standing closer to the ball, so I don’t know if I am still losing the tush line on the backswing with this new setup. I guess I need to do this, but I wonder if focusing on the right hip then left hip will lead to more toe strikes?
Will you recommend the fully straightening of right leg at the top like stack and tilt guys or bryson?
He's gonna say no.
@@slingblade37814 correct🤪😁
I’m totally buying in. I’m a 2 cap with a bit of the olé move. I know I need to get the arms in front of me at P6. MY QUESTION: how do I speed up the arms without getting rushed/quick in transition??
Byron Nelson: be leisurely at the top. Is that bogus?
As a follow up. On a launch monitor, my natural swing is 8* in to out. When swinging bad, I have an aggressive pull hook (face not path).
Perfect explanation of what I ve been taught, there IS a tiny shift to the right, getting back onto to the left side AKA, re-centering. Monte, keep being a contrarian. Modern swing analysis technology has disrupted numerous beliefs about the golf swing.
The concepts are not hard to… what is hard is to do them consistently. That is the true key to golf. I can explain all day how to throw a ball, bowl, any athletic motion, but it’s doing it repeatedly that makes golf hard.
I can do it all day on the range like a lot of golfers, it’s taking it to the course that is the challenge. Just today, I was on the range warming up before my round. I was hitting 5 clubs driver, hybrid, 7 iron, PW, and 56… I was hitting them all great. I ended my warm up with hitting 20 pw to a 120 target. I hit them all within 10 yards easily no effort or problem.
I went to the first tee hit a great drive in a short par 4 which left me 118 to the green. I get up to ball remembering all the effortless pw shots I hit on the range. So I pull out my pw with all the confidence in the world and proceed to hit a thin hook left of the green short side! 😂
It is something that troubles me because I practice a lot 5 days a week and always hit at my targets but as soon as I get on the course it’s like I’ve never hit a golf ball.
I’m not blowing smoke , I can literally hit 50 balls with pw on the range within 10-15 yard radius around target but can’t take it to the course. Anybody have any ideas of what could be happening… it’s really frustrating. I have even had plenty of golfers on the range tell me how nice my swing is. I’m completely distraught and have thought about just quitting the game. I’ve been playing for 15 years and shoot low 80s but cannot break 80 consistently.
Do you teach juniors?
