funniest thing about banda, yaba and chishiya surviving is how they won without lying about the suit of their partners at any point in the game.
how did chishiya survive the last round? I know the second to last one he just guessed it was diamond, but did he get the suit from banda and yaba in the last round?

Fun fact about this game:
- The names of Banda Sunato (the serial killer) and Yaba Oki (the con man) came from the wordplay of characters in Alice in Wonderland namely Bandersnatch and Jabberwocky, respectively.
- In the manga, the Jack of Hearts has a prosthetic eye that is directly connected to his collar so he can see his suit easily. That is the reason why his right eye is covered with his hair. And he will not have to worry whether the people around him will tell the wrong suit because of his prosthetic eye.
- This game is considered a filler chapter in the manga. And our boi Chishiya did not play this game (the last two dudes won that game). Maybe the producers of this show want Chishiya to play the Jack of Hearts game to add more excitement to this show and to think that Chishiya is one of the well-loved characters in the series.
You can also tell that Banda is a prisoner because of the drip he's wearing. Those are one type of prison clothes in Japan. And even though Chishiya wasn't supposed to be in this arc, it was still bad ass seeing him walk away with explosions behind him, love that shot.
Its streaming marketing that they put chishiya in jack of hearts instead of jack of diamonds. Chishiya playing in jack of diamonds will bring boredom to masses of viewers because it is a mahjong and I bet lot of viewers don't know how to play mahjong.
compare the two games, Jack of hearts will probably fit the runtime and it work if it was brought live action to the screen.
It is still about the target market and its super effective.
How did he lose in the manga knowing the symbol? I never read the entire manga (I started around the time of the OVAs)

â@@brunobru7083 probably the same way he lost here, they told him the right suit (even if he already could tell his suit from the prostetic eye), but when they all in the end figured out who the jack of heart was, he would just be bullied and tortured to the point of suicide.
Mabye in the actual show he also always knew his suit, hence they said he choose wrong even when they told him the right suit to torture and gather more information out of him.

I kinda figured the Jack was either the guy with the bangs or the girl who stuck by the guy's side. Mostly because in my head, the Jack wouldn't be someone who antagonized people. People who antagonize people get taken out easily and immediately. But someone willing to submit to others is likely to gain their trust by seeming like a non-threat. And by gaining their trust and sticking in the background, they're less likely to be betrayed. Perfect hiding spot. Chishiya came through and in a scenario where he no longer had allies, figured out a plan to survive, escape, and make the Jack hand over his yams in prison. Truly massive brain plays.

@@brunobru7083 that's the whole point, in this game, you can't trust anyone, so Ippei could be just acting that way so that people will see him as a non-threat and weak character and won't suspect him. It's the same as what the jack of hearts did only that Ippei is just a really kind-hearted person and not the jack of hearts.

Last we saw Aguni, he tanked a bunch of Uzi bullets and carried Niragi into the fire to save Arisu and Usagi. And since we saw Niragi is still alive in episode 2, itâs not really a surprise he survived too. đ

Fun fact Aguni's actor ShĆ Aoyagi is actually a singer and part of the famous Japanese boy band Exile Tribe which till this day keep having new members and have 18 members from current to past. Just my personal head cannon, but i kind of feel that the three winners of this game represent the "dark triad". Which is psychological theory of personality that is comprised of three traits, that being Machiavellianism (Chishiya), narcissism (Yaba Oki) , and psychopathy (Banda Sunato)
And other cool similarity among the three is that their names are wordplays of Alice in Wonderland characters.
Chishiya = Cheshire
Banda Sunato = Bandersnatch
Yaba Oki = Jabberwocky

A pattern of logic and probability of each suit would make this a Diamonds game, since you would only need to survive a few rounds to decipher the sequence, and the first few rounds were calm and controlled since everyone was still trusting each other. This would totally break the psychological factor that is the theme of every Hearts game.
And most of all, how would the Jack of Hearts die if he himself had the chance to figure out the pattern of his own suits?
Clarification: At the end, Jack of Heart got his mark wrong on purpose because he can't bear the torture.

Realizing this just now, Chishiya has an inkling who the Jack of Hearts is because he teamed up with Banda, a serial killer. Remember, no one talks to Banda due to being a killer, except for the Jack of Hearts, because he did not know he's a killer, meaning the Jack of Hearts is a citizen!
No, he knew Banda was a killer, it was the fact that he wasn't worried about that that was suspicious. Nobody else would've teamed up with him and he just walked up to him like it was nothing.

In Chishiya's game you could not use weapons, that right. But another rule is that the game could only be over when the Jack's killed. So I guess you could not use weapons and kill another player by your hands but only the Jack, which makes you die if you get the wrong person
