Chishiya having to constantly put the lives of one human over another due to higher ups and seemingly disliking it and then being put in games where he has to put his own life over other people's because of people higher up is definitely a sort of irony. As much as he didn't like it, he was able to overcome that feeling.
The King Of Diamonds was always constantly forced to view certain lives as less valuable in the face of corporation. But he never grew to accept it. And whenever he tried to give up, people reminded him that they would stay true to their ideals. So in the end, he decided to play the game fairly. And stay true to his.
Not really ironic since he was protecting himself from backlash by going along with the higher ups' corrupt practices.
I think these two were so close in personality. But king of diamonds actually made his ideals realistic h

@@juwonikemoses2045 I mean if you would go against your higher-ups in a job like that in Japan you would never get work again. If you get disgraced and the higher ups have protection deflect anything you do to them you are just SoL. medically not other hospital would hire you. Sometimes you have to swallow your pride accept you lost in a certain case and try and do better for the next patient at that point. Sometimes you have to accept defeat in a unjust/corrupt system to continue to do what good you can. The world is shity and you gotta make due with what you can to continue to do what good you can.
Btw in the manga, in k.o.d's backstory, it mentioned carnegie's corruption, which was probably around 1800's since carnegie was alive during the gilded age, and k.o.d probably moved from japan to america to pursue his career, since carnegie is from america

Chishiya is raw, the lawyer picked the perfect game for him since technically he is not Killing them by Winning, they're dying by losing.
So Chishiya said fine "this time you get decide if i live or die, you kill me or yourself".
Kinda disappointed, well the girl and chisiya did the strategy but they didn't explain it in live adaptation, compared to the manga, they explained it very well, and chisiya figured out that since they were battling a judge and were inside a court, that balance and equillibrium is the key to win the game, basically chisiya picks 100 and a girl would pick a random number, then the girl would pick 100 then chisiya would pick a random number, and kept repeating the process until two people died in the game
The lawyer didn't pick this game for Chishiya ..

A bit late to the party, but there's actually some hint earlier about Chisaya being a Dr, him having his hand always in his pocket is a Dr's habit, my gf who's a vet immediately pointed it out to me when it was shown. You can always see Dr putting their hands in the pocket of their scrubs/coat.
Fun Fact: They hinted at Chishiya’s job the entire time. He always wears a white coat, just like a doctor!! The attention to detail in the show is amazing!!
funny thing is, prior to reaching the beach, whenever Arisu's group who's also participating a game with him needed some type of a doctor, Chisaya's not around.

I also saw a comment say that in season 1 episode 2 when Arisu and Karube decided to go in a game to find a doctor thats where they met Chisiya. Crazy to think they told us from the very beginning

I’m glad Roshi understands why Chishiya is the goat. Dude honestly has the wits but he plays strategically and always has the thought process in action. He’s a perfect Side B to Arisu in a way which is why those two when they’re together were virtually unstoppable.
It is quite refreshing bc in most shows they would have these two be against each other. Ofc they had their battles but these two was always in the same team!!!
It's like Chishiya turned a diamonds game into a hearts game, since he's good at them both. You need good analyse and manipulation of both logic and emotion to win

17:11 The guy who helped Kuzuryu at the stairs is the one back from s1 with arisu and usagi in the game involving with a bus and staying at the goal. That's what the guy meant by "last game i played, a young man saved my life". So technically without arisu, chishiya might have died in this game.
in first i also though chishiya won by talk no jutsu but when u think of it he manipulated the king to let him win and you can see that from the beginning of the game he was provoking him, trying to establish a dialogue and always talking about ideals and morals because he knew that the king was tormented by these things
Remember when in S1E2 Arisu and Karube went to play that game together wanting to look for a doctor among other players bc they needed one for Chota? well, Chishiya gets introduced to us and to them in that game, and now we know he's a doctor. Also notice how he's always wearing longer upper garments, usually white or light gray? yeah like a doctor's coat. and he always has his hands in his pockets, like doctors often do. Also, in his backstory, he always had to deliver news about someone else's life taking precedence over another's, he was basically forced to enforce that - notice how he's generally avoidant in directly killing people himself if he can help with? he tends to stay on the sidelines and observe others, watching things unfold until he's able to pass the game. Like even during the heart game, he always was honest about what other players had and he wasn't among the ones actively lying, when he was in the group. He only was in the group in order to avoid being targeted but didn't actively participate in the deceit. It's all little details that make you go "oh" when you find out about his background.
The amount of terror that man must have felt after seeing the acid pour on his opponent must've been crippling.

he is not cold because of the world he never understood the value of life which is why people confuse his calmness for confidence when it's really he doesnt care if he lives or dies. This game made him face the "value of life" and taught him about it through the King of Diamonds

The reason why kuzuryu was willing to die a painful death is because when the 10 of Hearts was completed he was talking to Mira. He said that he wanted to make the games fair meaning that he was willing to feel the pain that players felt in stage 1

Yeah the number value of aces are 1. It doesn't matter if they are the highest cards in some card games. Their number is still 1. But it's understandable why some people think they are the highest. However in season 1 one the aces were shown in Hatter's card collection.

I get the king of Diamonds wanted to make his game one that is fair for all players, and i really did enjoy the similarities between him and Chishiya about the unfairness of the systems they were apart of. But did the man really have to choose Fucking ACID as the punishment for loosing his game? He could have just used a laser like everybody else.
In season 1 Arisu and Karube go looking for a doctor at the tag game, Chisiya is there yet they never ask him because they are too preoccupied with the whole Beach thing.
