I’m gonna go out on a limb here and say that those other universes haven’t just been playing in a sandbox and have been training or discovering new fighters just as well U11: Has amazing teamwork and no doubt that Jiren/Toppo have been training to inevitably fight again U6: While I would want to give them the benefit of the doubt, Vegeta’s newly found Spirit Fission absolutely tears through some of their strongest fighters in the Namekians and Kefla. Hit has undoubtedly been training and definitely patched up his weaknesses in his time skip technique. U6 could be full of SSG for all we know U2: Probably get smoked but maybe Ribrianna has lost some weight and will probably last a while simply for fan service Can’t think of any other surprises from universes but would be ecstatic to see another TOP

@@hendersonhicks8363 nah hold up. Jiren doesn’t have the benefit of transformations, which puts him at a huge disadvantage when it comes to training boosts. He can train all he wants but until we hear otherwise, it’s unreasonable to assume he grows faster than goku does in his base form, and certainly unreasonable to think he grows faster than frieza. Plus, jiren has no transformations to unlock and act as power multipliers, whereas everyone in u7 has been able to use new forms to jump up a tier, in addition to growing stronger through training. So destruction toppo and SSBE vegeta for example were relatively even during the ToP, right? And it’s fair to say there’s no evidence one can grow their base strength faster than the other. So they’ve both made big strides in base power, but now vegeta has unlocked his own destruction form, that would scale above ToP Jiren, who toppo couldn’t have even touched. It’s essentially impossible for anyone but Jiren to keep up at this point and even then, frieza one shot goku and veggy and they would have absolutely washed ToP Jiren.

Frieza and Broly and Gohan I think has the MOST potential in the entire show. Frieza went gold form in 4 months of NOT MOVING AND JUST THINKING ABOUT BEATING GOKU CONSTANTLY. Those 4 months turned into 10 years and actually moving is understandable how he is strong enough to one shot goku, vegeta and a main villain. Not to mention, Frieza did took A HUGE assbeating from broly in 1 hour, he definitely got strong from that too. Broly went from Kaioken level in terms of power, to matching and beating Vegeta SSG red in a couple of minutes. Gohan when he was like 5 or some shit, did a headbutt that pains someone more than gokus attack. Gohan when he was like I think 8 or 9 in namek? Managed to WHOOP Friezas ass just by getting mad. Gohan in Cell Saga literally turned SSJ2 before everybody else and beat they asses. Gohan in Buu Arc literally whoops Buus ass, its his stupidity that made him lose. Gohan barely trains, gets his ass whooped by gold frieza. Then Piccolo trained him for not even a month or a year, and he just matched with Goku SSGSSG blue.
Manga vegeta been having ssbe it’s just that his pupils stays the same but you can tell by the flamelike aura,last time he used regular blue was on planet namek against moro when he and goku were about to fly after moro in space,every other time you see him use blue is actually him using ssbe as it’s his go 2 form in the manga before ego.

I see black Frieza as the typical catalyst where the lives of those closest to Gohan are the turn key to unlocking Gohan's beast form again. Hopefully it leads to Gohan keeping a modified version of Beast where beast is the Kaioken version of Beast where it's full power potential is timed and fading away from overuse.
Brave of everyone to assume Jiren hasn't continued to train after the TOP. The guy trains so hard he makes Goku and Vegeta look like slackers, so he certainly isn't just going to stop bothering and sit on his ass while all his U7 rivals get better. His last scene at the end of the Tournament Saga was even him talking about facing Goku again and beating him. He was able to hold his own with MUI Goku with only his own raw power and skill, so his potential for growth and improvement in his power level should still be quite high. He is also friends with his universe's God of Destruction, G.O.D in training (Toppo), and probably the angel of U11, too. As such, he has plenty of ways to continue to getting stronger and plenty of tough opponents to train with. If the writing were to make any sense at all (which to be fair, Dragon Ball never really has), if we see him again, he will be as OP as he's ever been relative to everybody else. He might even reach angel level after a while.
He could himself reach UI and master it so he never loses to it again. That's an easy way to make him stronger without him needing transformations or whatever
I'm happy that the characters are getting more distinct powers. I hope it continues with more distinct techniques being given to the different forms and not just Ultra Instinct and Ultra Ego. More than just "I get angry and tougher/stronger."
U7 is so overpowered if there’s another TOP the other universes better have competition. Like seriously image a team of Goku(UI), Vegeta(UE), Gohan(Beast), Piccolo(Orange), Broly, and Black frieza. I’m pretty sure U11 and U6 have been training like crazy since the last tournament but idk about the rest

Universe 1, 5, 8, and 12 were exempt from participating due to their universes mortal levels. Though we don't know what this exactly means, we can conclude that we have no clue how strong their fighters are.

I love how Goku and also Vegita went trough most brutal trainings for years and years, died few times, obtain god ki (remember how Goku got that god ki, not with training) then trained with angel and god of destrution for quite some time, fought most powerful beings in multiverse (Berus, Jiren, Broly, Moro ...) obtained mega powerfull forms (ultra ego and ultra instict, which are basically god and angelic power, in some extent). But fck that, all is need for some guy to get angry, or some other guy just to train regulary for 10 years, and then they able to oneshot them both . Wtf is this bs
Well to be fair, in Gohans case he got access to Kai Ki when he had his potential unlocked. But for pretty much everyone else barring frieza (who was always considered to be the next big bad by beerus when he got older) I agree. The level of bullshit to have a bunch of characters who are stronger than SSB (a god who went super saiyan) is ridiculous. A transformation like that should have serious meaning. I feel like freiza is being set up to conquer all 12 universes. after learning that there are other universes with other powerful warriors it struck him that even if he conquers universe 7, he might never withstand with the likes of the other universes. I'm also interested in knowing what type of hyperbolic time chamber freiza went into because it seems like that one freiza went into is far stronger than the one we see in the lookout, and it doesn't seem to have a time limit constraint that the hyperbolic time chamber in the lookout did if freiza was able to put in 10 years' worth of training

Honestly, I kinda miss Merus. He wasn't around for long, but he had a huge impact on Goku's progression. Now that he's no longer an angel, I doubt we'll see much of him anymore.

Actually canonically speaking, Gohan Beast is the strongest, since it takes place after the recent manga arc and also states Gohan vs Cell Max as the strongest battle.

It's kind of tough to say Gohan is stronger than Goku at the end of the manga but weaker than Frieza. The movie takes place after a big time skip and several statements are made indicating Gohan is the strongest saiyan. It would be hard to believe that they haven't seen or dealt with Frieza in some way during this time skip and that Goku didn't get way stronger. Now, I don't really think Gohan is stronger than Goku or Frieza from the manga bc I think it's pretty clear the manga and movie should be considered two different continuities. They would have to do some major leg work and ass pulls to make them work with one another. The truth is the movie was written before the manga and without it in mind. In the movie, why would they have Jiren as a power goal if they fought Moro, Gas, and have seen Black Frieza's power? To make it work they would have to say that Goku/Vegeta became stronger than Frieza, and sometime during the time skip saw Jiren and saw he trained and became even stronger than Black Frieza, Goku, and Vegeta. They would also have to make it so noone has seen Goku and Vegeta during the whole time skip to witness how much stronger they have become, that way the statements they are making about Gohan being stronger than Goku are regards to him during the TOP. Otherwise Gohan would have had to make an immense leap in power from SSG/SSblue level to at least around Black Frieza level. They're different continuities, at least until the anime possibly reworks the manga into anime form to make it make sense together.

You could say Jiren got way stronger since the TOP and that Goku and Vegeta somehow know that, but the movie kind of made it seem like they haven't seen him since then, and they even said that Jiren wasn't that much stronger than them, but rather came off that way bc of how efficiently he used his energy. But, if this is post Black Frieza, why would Goku and Vegeta even be thinking about Jiren's efficiency with ki if they are likely at least as strong if not stronger than black Frieza after the time skip in the movie? I think the simplest answer is that they are two different continuities, and this version of Goku from the movie still doesn't know how to tap into UI at will so him and Vegeta are focusing on other ways to close the gap between them and Jiren. I think the only way Super Saiyan 4 should be become canon is if its introduced as the original form of an ancient Saiyan who is the villain. So basically Super Saiyan 4 technically would not be a transformation but more of an original state for an actual evil Saiyan with a legitimate goal and philosophy similar to Goku Black.
That's actually really interesting Bcs in the dragon ball legend they've been talking about how every 1000 years there is a new legendary super Saiyan. So imagine traveling to the past and fighting him or idk how

While I do agree that Frieza is the strongest mortal at the moment, even with Beast Gohan factored in, his potential doesn't dwarf Gohan's. Frieza trained for ten entire years to get that power up. Gohan simply got angry. If Gohan trained for ten years, he would likely end up with more to show for it compared to Frieza.

They aren't considered superior, they're only considered to have good g.o.d's and kai's that actually manage their universe properly. Like we saw with beerus, he's the strongest g.o.d, but one of the lowest mortal levels whatever its called. They aint superior mah boy

Am I the only one who thinks orange piccolo, cell max, and even gohan beast didn’t seem all that powerful compared to Goku and vegeta? I mean, my interpretation of the movie was that if Goku and vegeta came then the entire crew would win no sweat, hence why they had to keep them away from the action on beerus’ planet so there’d actually be a threat.

Toriyama wrote the script back in 2018 before True UI and UE so you can speculate and twist the continuity to however you like. When Piccolo was addressing their strength, you could say he was comparing them to Moro arc tier power, when it was the last time he saw them in action etc. all up to you as the viewer.
But piccolo and Gohan aren't stronger than Goku and Vegeta right now. The movie takes place right after the Broly movie. Can't really take toriyamas word as fact considering he didn't know the show was called dragon ball super. I'm pretty sure he isn't up to speed with the manga. Gohan might overpass Goku and Black Frieza. Remember. Hybrids are stronger than normal saiyans. If Gohan trains for years in the time chamber or Whis's staff. You got some things wrong. 1. Universe 7 was never the strongest, the strongest 4 universes were exempt from the tournament. 2. Gohan was never the strongest, Gohan Beast form happens after the Frieza Black form. Super Hero is set after Granolah. 3. Frieza trained for 6 months to unlock Frieza Gold, which is quick compared to the Saiyans. But he trained for 10 years in a room of spirit and time to unlock Frieza Black. Which you equated to one push up?
Imagine U7 in a tournament with everybody Evolved now they would have no chance of losing. Everybody is a powerhouse now.

U6: While I would want to give them the benefit of the doubt, Vegeta’s newly found Spirit Fission absolutely tears through some of their strongest fighters in the Namekians and Kefla. Hit has undoubtedly been training and definitely patched up his weaknesses in his time skip technique. U6 could be full of SSG for all we know
U2: Probably get smoked but maybe Ribrianna has lost some weight and will probably last a while simply for fan service

He can train all he wants but until we hear otherwise, it’s unreasonable to assume he grows faster than goku does in his base form, and certainly unreasonable to think he grows faster than frieza. Plus, jiren has no transformations to unlock and act as power multipliers, whereas everyone in u7 has been able to use new forms to jump up a tier, in addition to growing stronger through training. So destruction toppo and SSBE vegeta for example were relatively even during the ToP, right? And it’s fair to say there’s no evidence one can grow their base strength faster than the other. So they’ve both made big strides in base power, but now vegeta has unlocked his own destruction form, that would scale above ToP Jiren, who toppo couldn’t have even touched. It’s essentially impossible for anyone but Jiren to keep up at this point and even then, frieza one shot goku and veggy and they would have absolutely washed ToP Jiren.

Frieza and Broly and Gohan I think has the MOST potential in the entire show.
Frieza went gold form in 4 months of NOT MOVING AND JUST THINKING ABOUT BEATING GOKU CONSTANTLY. Those 4 months turned into 10 years and actually moving is understandable how he is strong enough to one shot goku, vegeta and a main villain. Not to mention, Frieza did took A HUGE assbeating from broly in 1 hour, he definitely got strong from that too.
Broly went from Kaioken level in terms of power, to matching and beating Vegeta SSG red in a couple of minutes.
Gohan when he was like 5 or some shit, did a headbutt that pains someone more than gokus attack.

Gohan in Cell Saga literally turned SSJ2 before everybody else and beat they asses.

Manga vegeta been having ssbe it’s just that his pupils stays the same but you can tell by the flamelike aura,last time he used regular blue was on planet namek against moro when he and goku were about to fly after moro in space,every other time you see him use blue is actually him using ssbe as it’s his go 2 form in the manga before ego.

I see black Frieza as the typical catalyst where the lives of those closest to Gohan are the turn key to unlocking Gohan's beast form again. Hopefully it leads to Gohan keeping a modified version of Beast where beast is the Kaioken version of Beast where it's full power potential is timed and fading away from overuse.
Brave of everyone to assume Jiren hasn't continued to train after the TOP.
The guy trains so hard he makes Goku and Vegeta look like slackers, so he certainly isn't just going to stop bothering and sit on his ass while all his U7 rivals get better. His last scene at the end of the Tournament Saga was even him talking about facing Goku again and beating him.
He was able to hold his own with MUI Goku with only his own raw power and skill, so his potential for growth and improvement in his power level should still be quite high.
He is also friends with his universe's God of Destruction, G.O.D in training (Toppo), and probably the angel of U11, too. As such, he has plenty of ways to continue to getting stronger and plenty of tough opponents to train with.
If the writing were to make any sense at all (which to be fair, Dragon Ball never really has), if we see him again, he will be as OP as he's ever been relative to everybody else. He might even reach angel level after a while.
He could himself reach UI and master it so he never loses to it again. That's an easy way to make him stronger without him needing transformations or whatever

I feel like freiza is being set up to conquer all 12 universes. after learning that there are other universes with other powerful warriors it struck him that even if he conquers universe 7, he might never withstand with the likes of the other universes.

It's kind of tough to say Gohan is stronger than Goku at the end of the manga but weaker than Frieza. The movie takes place after a big time skip and several statements are made indicating Gohan is the strongest saiyan. It would be hard to believe that they haven't seen or dealt with Frieza in some way during this time skip and that Goku didn't get way stronger. Now, I don't really think Gohan is stronger than Goku or Frieza from the manga bc I think it's pretty clear the manga and movie should be considered two different continuities. They would have to do some major leg work and ass pulls to make them work with one another. The truth is the movie was written before the manga and without it in mind. In the movie, why would they have Jiren as a power goal if they fought Moro, Gas, and have seen Black Frieza's power?
To make it work they would have to say that Goku/Vegeta became stronger than Frieza, and sometime during the time skip saw Jiren and saw he trained and became even stronger than Black Frieza, Goku, and Vegeta. They would also have to make it so noone has seen Goku and Vegeta during the whole time skip to witness how much stronger they have become, that way the statements they are making about Gohan being stronger than Goku are regards to him during the TOP. Otherwise Gohan would have had to make an immense leap in power from SSG/SSblue level to at least around Black Frieza level. They're different continuities, at least until the anime possibly reworks the manga into anime form to make it make sense together.

I automatically assumed Gohan and piccolo ain't SEE Goku and Vegeta since Moro arc hence why piccolo compares them to gammas and Gohan compares them to cell max current Goku and Vegeta that we see in the movie is Much STRONGER and most likely above Gohan and piccolo

You could say Jiren got way stronger since the TOP and that Goku and Vegeta somehow know that, but the movie kind of made it seem like they haven't seen him since then, and they even said that Jiren wasn't that much stronger than them, but rather came off that way bc of how efficiently he used his energy. But, if this is post Black Frieza, why would Goku and Vegeta even be thinking about Jiren's efficiency with ki if they are likely at least as strong if not stronger than black Frieza after the time skip in the movie?
I think the simplest answer is that they are two different continuities, and this version of Goku from the movie still doesn't know how to tap into UI at will so him and Vegeta are focusing on other ways to close the gap between them and Jiren. Also, this could mean the statements about Gohan being stronger aren't necessarily about UI Goku, because they would know Goku can't easily use that form, meaning Gohan is stronger than SS Blue Evolution Vegeta, and KaiokenX20 Blue Goku, and likely comparable to UI Goku/Jiren but not necessarily stronger. When Piccolo said Goku may not be able to take the Gamas and Cell down maybe it was bc he knew he wouldn't be able to do it without UI, which he can't access at will.

I think the only way Super Saiyan 4 should be become canon is if its introduced as the original form of an ancient Saiyan who is the villain. So basically Super Saiyan 4 technically would not be a transformation but more of an original state for an actual evil Saiyan with a legitimate goal and philosophy similar to Goku Black.

While I do agree that Frieza is the strongest mortal at the moment, even with Beast Gohan factored in, his potential doesn't dwarf Gohan's. Frieza trained for ten entire years to get that power up. Gohan simply got angry. If Gohan trained for ten years, he would likely end up with more to show for it compared to Frieza.

Am I the only one who thinks orange piccolo, cell max, and even gohan beast didn’t seem all that powerful compared to Goku and vegeta?
I mean, my interpretation of the movie was that if Goku and vegeta came then the entire crew would win no sweat, hence why they had to keep them away from the action on beerus’ planet so there’d actually be a threat.
I think Gohan said something like: even if goku and vegeta came back he wouldn't be sure they'd even win

Toriyama wrote the script back in 2018 before True UI and UE so you can speculate and twist the continuity to however you like.
When Piccolo was addressing their strength, you could say he was comparing them to Moro arc tier power, when it was the last time he saw them in action etc. all up to you as the viewer.

Cell max was already down an arm and almost down a leg from everyone especially gamma 2 who literally did the most damage. Fat Gotenks cracked the head plate already and piccolo literally had to hold Cell max down and keep his head still. Gohan wasn't training at all and piccolo literally called him out on it in the beginning of the movie.

You got some things wrong.
1. Universe 7 was never the strongest, the strongest 4 universes were exempt from the tournament.
2. Gohan was never the strongest, Gohan Beast form happens after the Frieza Black form. Super Hero is set after Granolah.
3. Frieza trained for 6 months to unlock Frieza Gold, which is quick compared to the Saiyans. But he trained for 10 years in a room of spirit and time to unlock Frieza Black. Which you equated to one push up?
