I'm not a Gohan fanboy at all. I just wanted to point out how cool it is that Gohan was already the strongest on earth episode 1 before Raditz was even introduced. Gohan base power level was already 700. Goku and picolo was only 400. He was already the strongest without rage.
I will say I do like his Dragon Ball videos but I think he's trying to transition into making more than Dragon Ball videos and I think we should support him for that because no matter how much you love something doing the same thing over and over gets boring
Piccolo mentioned twice how he was training daily mentally and physically. It's why he was much stronger in super, I the background he was always training. Gohan also mentioned that he was actually training. Not seriously, not seriously at all, but he was secretly training. He even taught himself the special beam cannon

Broly's Super Saiyan form stomped Frieza, Goku, and Vegeta who were the strongest mortals at the time, and it took Gogeta ssjb who has Goku, and Vegeta's strongest form in base multiplied dozens of times over. Broly adapts much faster than the average Saiyan, and Gohan has not shown that he adapts quicker than others but that he has more potential than everyone else other than Broly. If Broly's Super Saiyan could stomp ssjb imagine what his ssj2 would look like.

Gohan has always been my favorite character, and this movie did a lot to cement his characterization in Z and in Super. It called back a lot of moments that oughta make people realize that yes, this is indeed who Gohan really is. Even him missing the Senzu Bean that Piccolo threw at him was reminiscent of missing the Potara that Goku threw during the Buu arc. In a series where most of the main fighters are bulked out of their minds and focus on training almost every waking hour, I can respect the decision for someone to say "Nah, not for me" but still have the ability to make a stand when the time calls for it.
This is kind of like the "lifting a car to save someone's life" type of emotional strength... When people you love get hurt, there's a certain point when any human could become stronger than they've ever been without training (weightlifting) ... I think Gohan's secret strength in the series has a lot to do with him being human and ..... Love! Love is a crazy steroid if used correctly... They used the explanation in Matrix as Trinity could destroy everyone in the room if she wanted to, because, she was in "LOVE" (just as an example) Gamma robots explains how being evil can be strong, but doing the right thing and loving life is a lot crazier than evil strength.... We all know Gohan has or had so much potential. The only reason I said had is because I want this new form to be his final form. No new transformation. Now I'm not buying he's the strongest because Cell Max was weakened and I feel he's only maybe hanging with Omen. I want to see him fight Broly and Freiza's new form. In the manga gohan watched goku use MUI vs moro which is far stronger than omen and he stated in the movie that MUI goku might be weaker than cell max so: Goku >= cell max in moro arc

my theory is that whenever he reawakens his ultimate form, it's like he gets the potential unleashing every time he does, and when he goes blanco, it's just a bigger push, breaking his limits. so gohan does not need to train anymore, his ultimate form is basically a skip button for training.
That’s the beast inside him, hence Beast Gohan. *My theory* is Saiyan power is *strongly* derived from *emotions* that trigger their Saiyan Instincts. *(Ultra Ego for Vegeta.)* We’ve seen Super Saiyan unlocked by a triggered emotion. Probably why Human hybrid Saiyans have more potential than full Saiyans, because Humans are instinctively more emotional. Saiyans are instinctively physical. *(Bulma is proof of a Human having a strong emotional impact on someone like Vegeta.)* Then having a mixture of both probably enhances both blood and instincts into an evolved hybrid. Broly has a busted emotional trigger(berserk) that’s out of control and that’s why he grows at a busted pace. But like I said, out of control. god Ki needs to be controlled. From being a Saiyan, Gohan has such a beastly side(oozaroo) inside of him continuously growing(cause saiyans are always growing.) and that’s why he tries to embrace his Human side more. I felt his transformation felt empty, i wanted a bit more build up, some epic music, it just didn't feel right, it was a bit too quiet and too sudden, considering how cool he looks, but still enjoyed the movie nontheless
Honestly I think that was just the lack of stakes. The entire movie was essentially Piccolo playing pretend, acting like things were how they were back in Z before the dragon balls themselves got powerscaled to hell.
Maybe unintentional, but there is a precedent of human+saiyan characters having rage modes that overturn any power scaling. I'm specifically thinking of Trunks at the end of the Goku Black arc as the other example. Maybe more will be done with this in the future. Maybe adult Gotenks will be the GOAT when it's all said and done.
Piccolo had always been nonstop training to me he was able to unlock something he had been aiming for. Piccolo had the essence of both types of namekians so this form must be related to that fusion of essences
Gohan is one of my favorite characters, and part of that is because of how he is. He hates fighting, only doing it when absolutely necessary but having the strength to pull out of him when pushed to the edge. He becomes stronger because of how he feels, the need to save those he cares about, and even though he doesn't like to fight, he is much more willing to kill his opponents than Goku is. It's not until the end of Super where Piccolo makes him think about not being strong enough to protect his family, so he starts intense training to at least maintain his transformations.
The white transformation makes since, since Mystic is white, I always expected a white transformation for Gohan that combines Mystic with like Ape or just Sayain power in genral and thats what we got, thats what it looks like anyways...
I just wished he didn’t have white hair, maybe something like orange, the only colour that hasn’t been used for hair, it fits with piccolo’s orange transformation and was only substituted into SSG’s aura, how cool would it be to see white hoarded Goku, purple haired vegeta, green haired broly, yellow haired trunks? Mystic isn't white, that's just base form. Ulitimate gohan just draws out all latent power in base form without needing to transform. It's why he exits the ssj form when entering his unleashed state, there'd be no point in "mixing" them, since you really just can't. Elder Kai explained the form fairly well, but i often see people not understanding what "mystic gohan" actually is.
I don't think it's ever stated that with this new form that Gohan is the strongest mortal, I thought it said he's the strongest mortal on earth at that specific time, as Goku, Vegeta and Broly were on Beerus' planet. We don't yet know how his new form compares to Granolah arc Goku and Vegeta.
No, they outright state Gohan is stronger than both Goku and Vegeta at their maximum power, and Toriyama has also confirmed this in a new interview. The point of this is still the same point of Gohan all the way back in the beginning of Z: Goku and Vegeta can continually train for more and more power, but they will never truly surpass someone who is just naturally godlike in power, which is what Gohan always was. It only comes out in bursts, but his power doesn't come from training, it is just naturally is a part of him, and can always surpass those who are only strong because of hard work.
It's funny how I can hear the biases in people when they favorite character reach a new form. See 👀 everybody has to remember that Goku will always be the main Character. Gohan most of the time keeps up in power or surpasses Goku in different moments but Goku and Vegeta always train to get stronger or adapts to surpass the current strongest. So the level Goku, and Vegeta are training in is of the gods. Goku literally learning to master Ultra instinct which is the power of the Angels. No mortal I believe could ever surpass an Angel. So right now when Goku finally Master it completely I believe him and Vegeta will be the most powerful saiyans ever.
i guess. Gohan's character has always just kind of been mishandled and dumb. I feel like he doesn't have much of a personality (especially as a kid. even up to the cell fight he didn't have much going for his character), he just is a nerd (with very little dialogue about what he actually does. he just gives lectures and apparently likes insects now?) and also gets really angry sometimes. Also it's very bizzare how gohan just has this random rage power up that no other character has. completely unexplained.

In my opinion Gohans new form is an absolute asspull, I love it tho, buh got damn. This guy throughout arcs just surpasses people who have dedicated literal blood sweat and tears. All in a heartbeat. They handled his power far better throughout the saiyan to Cell saga. It was a short enough boost that fans loved it because he was a badass and respectable since they knew he still had to train it.

All they had to do was just stay consistent from that like they did in the Moro saga, not completely reset his arc to someone who doesn’t train. The movie and Super overall went to far with the studying. Even GT didn’t go that far

If it was stated that Gohan was trying to master his ragefullness and then proceed to unlock this form it would've been perfect. I hope they make an arc where he struggles to attain this form. I love the form and Gohan but this should've been handled better. Here's hoping he gets a more developed arc in the future

I think you missed the point of Gohan's rage bursts, I think they serve more as an inspiration for a higher level for Goku to strive to attain. Everytime Gohan showed a burst, Goku and Vegeta trained harder.

Literally movie starts out with Piccolo and Pan talking to each other about Gohan having the potential to be stronger than Goku. And Piccolo even tells this to Gohan during the final fight. And, lastly, Gohan says, I paraphrase, “I dont think Goku or Dad could’ve beaten [Cell Max]”

Saiyans are instinctively physical. *(Bulma is proof of a Human having a strong emotional impact on someone like Vegeta.)* Then having a mixture of both probably enhances both blood and instincts into an evolved hybrid. Hence the statement that Hybrid Saiyans have more potential than Full Saiyans, including Broly.
Broly has a busted emotional trigger(berserk) that’s out of control and that’s why he grows at a busted pace. But like I said, out of control. god Ki needs to be controlled. And he loses huge outbursts of power. Also Broly is never on par with Gogeta Blue, that was to stop him because he was causing too much destruction. Gohan being a Hybrid Saiyan has more potential than Broly, I’ve already explained how Broly has a weakness and how Hybrid Saiyans have more potential.
Gohan being born with a Saiyan tail is a *special important fact.* As a Hybrid Saiyan, that’s what separates Gohan from Trunks and Goten. Also going Great Ape, he unlocked that *’beast’* that Trunks and Goten don’t know. Then having his Full Potential unlocked by different methods, and at such a young age(yes wasted potential.)
Toriyama said that Beast Gohan is him finally letting the beast inside him loose. The beast inside he tried holding back against Cell. Because Gohan would’ve been an uncontrollable beast, basically like Broly’s Berserker form. Unlocking his Beast form against Cell Max is a homage to that. Except Gohan has now learned to control that Beast, by embracing both his Human side and Saiyan side. *(Yin and Yang)* Gohan is a genius of the mind and body and embodies the *•Perfect Balanced Warrior•* that’s why Gohan is the Saiyan Beerus was so interested in. Also why the Oracle fish see’s and says *“The Universe’s Strongest Warrior will soon rise.”* Because since the TOP training arc, Gohan’s *’new goal’* has been to train to control that beast and finally embrace who he is. This is why Gohan has the most potential.
From being a Saiyan, Gohan has such a beastly side(oozaroo) inside of him continuously growing(cause saiyans are always growing.) and that’s why he tries to embrace his Human side more.
Gohan was always *forced to fight* because he was always needed. That caused him to go through lots of *young traumatic moments* seeing people he cared for continuously in danger and hurt. Always having his mom worried when she always cared about him. Gohan wanted a more peaceful life to his chaotic side. *(Yin and Yang)* That’s why Gohan wanted to embrace his Human side more… Beast Gohan is Gohan finally accepting his Saiyan battle instincts and emotions…

Gohan has both Human and Saiyan genes to enhance those instincts into an evolved *’high potent’* hybrid.

I felt his transformation felt empty, i wanted a bit more build up, some epic music, it just didn't feel right, it was a bit too quiet and too sudden, considering how cool he looks, but still enjoyed the movie nontheless

Honestly I think that was just the lack of stakes. The entire movie was essentially Piccolo playing pretend, acting like things were how they were back in Z before the dragon balls themselves got powerscaled to hell.

Maybe unintentional, but there is a precedent of human+saiyan characters having rage modes that overturn any power scaling. I'm specifically thinking of Trunks at the end of the Goku Black arc as the other example.
Maybe more will be done with this in the future. Maybe adult Gotenks will be the GOAT when it's all said and done.
Piccolo had always been nonstop training to me he was able to unlock something he had been aiming for. Piccolo had the essence of both types of namekians so this form must be related to that fusion of essences

Gohan is one of my favorite characters, and part of that is because of how he is. He hates fighting, only doing it when absolutely necessary but having the strength to pull out of him when pushed to the edge. He becomes stronger because of how he feels, the need to save those he cares about, and even though he doesn't like to fight, he is much more willing to kill his opponents than Goku is. It's not until the end of Super where Piccolo makes him think about not being strong enough to protect his family, so he starts intense training to at least maintain his transformations.
The white transformation makes since, since Mystic is white, I always expected a white transformation for Gohan that combines Mystic with like Ape or just Sayain power in genral and thats what we got, thats what it looks like anyways...
Even the voice in that form has a ssj4 tone to it

Mystic isn't white, that's just base form. Ulitimate gohan just draws out all latent power in base form without needing to transform. It's why he exits the ssj form when entering his unleashed state, there'd be no point in "mixing" them, since you really just can't. Elder Kai explained the form fairly well, but i often see people not understanding what "mystic gohan" actually is.

I don't think it's ever stated that with this new form that Gohan is the strongest mortal, I thought it said he's the strongest mortal on earth at that specific time, as Goku, Vegeta and Broly were on Beerus' planet. We don't yet know how his new form compares to Granolah arc Goku and Vegeta.
No, they outright state Gohan is stronger than both Goku and Vegeta at their maximum power, and Toriyama has also confirmed this in a new interview. The point of this is still the same point of Gohan all the way back in the beginning of Z: Goku and Vegeta can continually train for more and more power, but they will never truly surpass someone who is just naturally godlike in power, which is what Gohan always was. It only comes out in bursts, but his power doesn't come from training, it is just naturally is a part of him, and can always surpass those who are only strong because of hard work.
It's funny how I can hear the biases in people when they favorite character reach a new form. See 👀 everybody has to remember that Goku will always be the main Character. Gohan most of the time keeps up in power or surpasses Goku in different moments but Goku and Vegeta always train to get stronger or adapts to surpass the current strongest. So the level Goku, and Vegeta are training in is of the gods. Goku literally learning to master Ultra instinct which is the power of the Angels. No mortal I believe could ever surpass an Angel. So right now when Goku finally Master it completely I believe him and Vegeta will be the most powerful saiyans ever.
i guess. Gohan's character has always just kind of been mishandled and dumb. I feel like he doesn't have much of a personality (especially as a kid. even up to the cell fight he didn't have much going for his character), he just is a nerd (with very little dialogue about what he actually does. he just gives lectures and apparently likes insects now?) and also gets really angry sometimes. Also it's very bizzare how gohan just has this random rage power up that no other character has. completely unexplained.
Ya his personality is what upsets me in the movie because now it seems like he’s naive as Goku. When Piccolo was in disguise but Pan recognized it and Gohan didn’t was sad. He’s suppose to be smart not naive

In my opinion Gohans new form is an absolute asspull, I love it tho, buh got damn. This guy throughout arcs just surpasses people who have dedicated literal blood sweat and tears. All in a heartbeat. The guy got intel theres a new enemy on earth Gohan responded we got Goku, Vegeta and the other guy (Broly). Respectfully as he should😂 I would do the same, buh got damn what an outburst he sees Piccolo “die” then loses his sh*t. Its crazy. Even tho he always does this istill cannot wrap my head around it. Then again it id dragonball, Toriyama is 67 years old. The guy does not give a flying monkey (no pun intended). He creates new forms whatever is the primary colour he just calls it that from his own words for example, Orange Piccolo, Black Freiza. It is what it is at this rate. Toriyama just being Toriyama.
They handled his power far better throughout the saiyan to Cell saga. It was a short enough boost that fans loved it because he was a badass and respectable since they knew he still had to train it.

Gohan has BEEN having this potential since birth when he headbutted his uncle, when he first destroyed a mountain when piccolo chucked him, when he got his potential unlocked and started beating down on 2nd form frieza, etc etc. Its just in this super hero movie he got projectiled to beyonf God level its crazy.
@@_Rambo. The power bump he got ain’t that crazy considering that in the TOP they portrayed him as as being at least near blue level in his Ultimate form. All they had to do was just stay consistent from that like they did in the Moro saga, not completely reset his arc to someone who doesn’t train. The movie and Super overall went to far with the studying. Even GT didn’t go that far

If it was stated that Gohan was trying to master his ragefullness and then proceed to unlock this form it would've been perfect. I hope they make an arc where he struggles to attain this form. I love the form and Gohan but this should've been handled better. Here's hoping he gets a more developed arc in the future

I think you missed the point of Gohan's rage bursts, I think they serve more as an inspiration for a higher level for Goku to strive to attain. Everytime Gohan showed a burst, Goku and Vegeta trained harder.
