Giving My Bike Tools to Recyke-a-Bike

- 2023 marks a historical change for Unior Tools, they've been known for being Blue branded but for all things bike they make the change to Red. It's only the aesthetics that are changing and they're still the same tools that we know and love.
That meant when Unior kindly switched out my remaining Blue tools to Red, I had some Blue handled tools and needed to find them a new home. Recyke-a-bike is a local charity repairing and reselling bikes whilst encouraging cycling in the community and preventing bikes going to landfill - who better than to gift a beautiful set of tools to...

What a great thing to do. We've had a couple of bikes from Recykabike, and I've donated a couple too. I also helped two non-cyclist colleagues buy two bikes from Recykabike - who then cycled back to family in Hungary as an adventure....

@@ScottyLaughland even better: they only had Google maps to go off. Called three days in heading for Hull to say 'these padded shorts, do they work? We've sore bums...' and the bikes were just old hybrids which we ziptied old shopping baskets to the rear rack, plus £10 old panniers from Gumtree, borrowed tent etc every third day they did a hostel.. In three weeks they had one puncture and some brakes they needed help adjusting, two days of awful weather they used the train - and made it to the Hungarian border. Proper adventure.
