I concur. Maybe more characters from the Donkey Kong series, such as Candy Kong and Kalypso, some characters from Diddy Kong Racing, even Banjo and Conker if Microsofft allows, and some new entries such as Barbara The Bat and Arcade Bunny.

Hating on Splatoon and Fire Emblem while choosing Rex, Pyra, and Mythra over Shulk is certainly a choice. I'm a fan of the entire Xenoblade Chronicles series, but I don't know how much of a leg to stand on you have when you choose Rex as a character on the roster.

I don't want a Nintendo kart, I want to expand the "Mario" part of Mario kart, such as adding more DK, Luigi's mansion, Wario ware and Mario RPG games representation.
Plus Nintendo kart feels more like promotion for other nintendo ip's, and as the potentialy only Switch 2 kart, I don't want it

@@patatovky dry bones and baby rosalina have the same stats in mk8 (im pretty sure, correct me if im wrong). But that's not my point. My point is that dry bones and dry Bowser are the same thing as metal mario and baby mario. Glorified costumes. But fans only seem to complain about the latter and never the former.

I’m kind of glad you put the disclaimer that GameFreak is iffy with Pokemon joining the roster, because they would be.
Unlike everyone else who goes in and shoves them in because “They’re on Nintendo systems they’re made by Nintendo!”
They like Smash Bros because they got in when it was early and they actively take part.
Meanwhile, Inkling, Link, Isabelle, and Villager got in MK8 squarely because the games are a part of (formerly) Nintendo EAD, which would make sense why they get in.
It’s also why F-Zero has tracks in MK8 and why Fox, Samus, and Olimar/Pikmin would get in Mario Kart: those franchises are all owned by Nintendo full stop.
But when you get to 2nd party franchises like Kirby, Fire Emblem, Pokemon… That’s where it gets iffy.
Another example is when Activision wanted Nintendo characters for Skylanders Superchargers, while they got Donkey Kong and Bowser, they originally wanted Peach, Kirby, and Fox.
Nintendo told them no for Peach because they felt it didn’t fit, no on Fox because at the time Star Fox Zero was in the pipeline, and no on Kirby because Nintendo doesn’t own Kirby fully to lend out. So they settled on Bowser and Donkey Kong.

Regarding the Miis, tbh Nintendo has started doing things here and there with the Miis again. Suddenly returning as player avatars in Pikmin Bloom and Mario Kart Tour.
Those… whatever they were called, in Switch Sports, I get the feeling will be a one game only thing. They probably were intended to formally replace the Miis, but since the reception of that game wasn’t great, it looks like they just went back to the Miis.
Adam Sandler should be in the next Mario Kart game with all his costumes referencing his hit films like 8 Crazy Nights and Murder Mystery.

From what community overlooking I've done, the general consensus I've seen is that the next Mario Kart SHOULDN'T be Nintendo kart. And while The new crossovers in 8dx were cool, it would be a bit much for that to be the entire selling point. Me personally I feel a good approach would be to leave the 8dx crossovers in 8dx and have 1 or 2 new ones in their place; Let's just Randomly say Captain Falcon and Olimar. Hopefully this way the crossover element can remain fresh without crossing over into Bloat.
But as long as my boy Wiggler is on the roster then all is right with the world

Olimar has high chances to be in the next game because it was made by Miyamoto and it wouldn't be so difficult to put him in the game. To be honest I just want to see 3 guest series:
-pikmin: olimar
-kirby: Kirby ,king dedede and meta kinght
-pokemon: Pikachu,koraidon and miraidon
Putting those three Kirby characters in will just create another riot like with Smash where people complain about the lack of bandana waddle dee.

To be honest, I don’t think we need a Nintendo Kart when it’s Mario’s racing series. If you add too many non-Mario characters and locations, it loses its Mario charm. Besides, there’s hundreds of Mario characters who’ve never got to drive a kart before that would make interesting playable racers, like E. Gadd, Spike, Boom Boom, Toadsworth, Gooigi, Pianta, Sledge Bro, etc.
I kinda despise the Nintendo Kart idea. I just straight up don't want that. I don't even like that we have some non Mario/Mario adjacent characters in 8.

I think Eevee and the Eeveelutions should be playable in place of the Lizors. They could fall under 1 character like Bowser Jr. and the Koopalings.

I've always hated the idea of a Nintendo Kart, the Mario franchise has such a wide selection of character choices to pick from already and the appeal of Mario spin-offs is being able to control these more niche options. We already didn't get Nabbit, Chargin Chuck, Dixie Kong, Poochy, King Bob-omb, etc from Tour in 8 Deluxe and that game's roster is enormous. Nintendo Kart would reduce their chances of being playable to a rock-bottom zero

I love this roster! However I would just let Koraidon and Miraidon ride the karts rather than be the karts. They managed to do it with Wiggler, they can do it with them too. The 2 by themselves would just be out of place.
I'm used to the typical nintendo youtuber thing of hating fire emblem or making repetitive jokes about it (I'd choose byleth over marth btw), but hating both fire emblem and splatoon is a new one for me

Also giving characters special abbilities is a terrible idea, there is a reason why double dash was never popular in casual market, special items make it so that for a casual mom, it's unneseserly complicated how items work, she would only get protection hearts and not bowser shell.
The reason why Mario Kart is so popular is beacuse anyone at any age can pick the controller and have fun. Do you seauriosly think that my old grandpa could get into double dash? No, but to 8 deluxe, it only took 3 races
I totally see where you’re coming from, but I think it would be a good alternate game mode. This way you could keep the standard Mario kart formula for casuals, but still make it a fresh experience for series veterans.

As a massive fire emblem fan I'll lend you a hand here. Choose Hicks as the rep, just trust me. Trust me. You need to trust me. Wake up. Wake up. Please wake up.
Alright, since its an inevitability you make a sequel video going into more depth on marth ive decided, as the only fire emblem fan in your audience, to give you a little help when the time comes. Ive thought about this long and hard and ultimately believe my decisions are the best possible. Im simplifying this so you dont have to think too much so here goes.
First off, although he's super iconic its nigh impossible to get Marth to work. Fire Emblem has a heavy focus on cavalry with like half the roster riding a mount of some kind and Marth is not one of those. His wife can ride a pegasus but we can't put him on one of those since in FE pegasi can only be ridden by girls. Instead of Marth, the Fire Emblem rep will be a two-in-one selection like the koopalings and da baby, with Sigurd and Seliph (two rather popular lords that both use horses. Also their game is going to be remade next, so its believable they'll make it in to promote it.)
Their custom "vehicle" will of course be a horse. Normal speed with superb acceleration and handing. Their custom item will be (and ive thought about this a lot) the Tyrfing, which lets them attack a nearby racer when pressed and for as long as the sword is held theyre immune to damage and effects. Of course the time remaining on the power up decreases each time they attack or negate an attack. Finally their custom race track will be the forested country of Verdane, its already very circuit-like in design and I LOVE VERDAAAAANE!!!

I HATE this kind of stuff, I mean since Myamoto left Mario Kart it became Nintendo Kart, it became just a racing game with all Nintendo characters but before we got, almost only Super Mario characters and now the half are not Mario characters.
seems good just i would replace the babys with petey piranha maybe replace those pokemon bikes with sonic because if sega is willing to have him be in the olympics with mario then they would be fine with him racing with mario and i am not sure about mr. game and watch is that even possible he has only ever been seen in 2d i think maybe replace him for another pikmin character
I fee like The Rabbids would somehow sneak here to because of the Mario+Rabbids series. Was surprised they weren't here. You could have like a Rabbid for each one of the characters or like keep it to the regular and include some of the others like Rabbid Mario, Rabbid Luigi or Rabbid Peach or something :/ i don't know really I'm not big on Rabbids :P

I'd play him... or Kirby... or Olimar... that's it, I'd play as the others every so often but those three would be the characters I play the most (especially Kirby). Well like the dude said, GameFreak is pretty damn protective of Pokemon.
Remember Yoshi’s Woolly World? They had amiibo costumes of every amiibo released at that point, EXCEPT POKEMON.
And when Yoshi’s Woolly World was ported to the 3DS, they added more costumes, EXCEPT POKEMON.
And while Mario Maker on Wii U had Pokemon costumes, they were the ONLY ONES without any sound or themes, except the Bulbasaur/Charmander/Squirtle costumes made to celebrate Pokemon’s 20th anniversary.
The only reason they are so active with Smash Brothers is because they had been with the start and they actively get involved with it.
But Mario Kart? They would probably avoid it like the plague.
