I'm in a reading slump as well. Its not nice 😢😢😢
I haven’t read a book in so long. I used to be so passionate about reading. The excitement reading used to give me was indescribable. Now I get bored easily when reading…I can’t even make it past the first chapter. Reading just isn’t the same anymore for me personally 🙁
@cheechee6473 I feel you. I buy books more than I do reading. The first three months of this year were good but by the time April came, I went to London and that's when reading went down the drain for me 😭😭
I am also in a reading slump, and I'm really hoping Yellowface can get both of us out of our respective slumps!
Pretty much been in a slump since quarantine and am FINALLY getting out of it by re-reading Shadowhunter books...again 🤭
Having read Yellowface last month, I found it delightfully and compulsively readable. Wishing you the best with your TBR ❤
I missed your videos so much, you were my favorite booktuber for years 💗 I selfishly want you to get out of the reading slump to get new recommendations from you 😂💗 hope these books work
There is a book you might want to check out then. Sands of Elysium A Knight of Sol.
i got out of my slump recently and now im very slowly reading lord of the rings for the first time which i love so far. and i love the new background in your new apartment!!
I’m rereading The Selection for the first time since I was 12 in hopes of getting out of my slump! The writing is a lot more corny than I remember lolll
So happy to see you trying to get back into reading cause me too girl I been in a slump for a year😅😅❤
The shelves in the background look so good! I hope you're out of your reading slump soon 💜
Sooo interested in that vlog! And always so happy to see you on my timeline!!!
⭐️One thing no one ever talks about is that as life and age changes so does our reading taste or methods! When I like to read the most has completely changed in my late 20s and what I find my chill reads has changed too! Wishing everyone well ❤
SO EXCITED for Yellowface! I have a very ambitious summer TBR, a lot of big fantasies that I've been putting off but I have time off from classes now. I would love a vlog of you getting out of your reading slump. Such a joy to see you in my sub feed again!
Your hair looks so nice!!
yesss Emma back in her reading era!!!
i get so excited whenever you post ❤️
I'm also in a reading slump but audiobooks have been so helpful!
An Emmmabooks reading vlog would be fantastic. I really liked your weekly reading vlogs
Hope the move was okay and you’re doing well in your new place with Jake
I would love to see vlogs from you again 😊
Yellowface is so readable and once you get into it it's almost impossible to stop! The audiobook for These Violent Delights is really tough too...the narrator just sounded so monotone and it was hard for me to tell if people were whispering or yelling at certain points lol. Loved the video
THE NEW BACKGROUND 🤩🤩🤩 STUNNING
I really enjoyed the wishing game.
its sweet.
it gave me the feels that house on the cerulean sea seemed to give for everyone else.
hope you love it!
I think one thing about Crescent City that helps cut through the high fantasy feel is that it takes place in a location that has more modern technology which after TOG and ACOTAR was a surprise but it is a fun difference from Maas' other books. I hope one of these many books gets you out of your slump and I agree with your comment on being picky about YA! I barely pick it up right now.
Ohh a vlog about you getting out of your reading slump seems cool
yay!!! house of earth and blood was EPIC! it takes a bit to get into but when you do it’s just spectacular and i loved it very much ❤
it’s definitely not high fantasy, like it is lmao but it’s very urban fantasy as well
❤❤come back just found your channel lol. Loving your videos
I have been in a few reading slumps this year but finally got outta it recently 😎💐🪁📚🌈
I used to read everyday but sadly I’ve been in a reading slump for years (more than I can count :/ ). I’m going to make it a goal to read one book this month and hopefully get myself back into the swing of things! I know one book doesn’t seem like much but I know it’ll be a huge step for me :).
Reading slumps are the worst. 😊 I hope you find a book you like ❤
Now I'm curious if they did? Did the books bring you out your slump? How was your winter and holidays? Hope it treated you kindly and all the best for this new years Emma !! ❤
It makes me so happy to get more frequent video notifications for your channel again after all this time 🥹🥹 it's so great to have you back on here Emma!!
I hope the books work for you and you are able to break out of your slump. I know how frustrating that can be, I go through one every February it seems. The Maid is an ok book, read it last year.
I need to read Crescent City still too 🥹
Yeah I've read Margaret! It's great! It's a bit wild and fantastical but so good - the eating disorder element was sometimes hard to read for me. ❤
I really want to read Crescent City!! Just read all of the Acotar and tog series last year and really liked them😄
Ha we picked the same 2 books from our Book of the Month subscriptions, I got 2 this time :)
I need a new bookshelf tour!!!!!❤❤❤❤
I am very much looking forward to hopefully ripping through yellowface as well. Everyone seems to be consumed by it! These violent delights is another one waiting on my shelf that I think I could really like.
are you planning on vlogging again? your vlogs always make me so happy and motivated and i miss seeing them sm!!
Good to see your face again!!!
Yellowface was phenomenal, get to that one right away!
I missed you. I'm also a Booktuber and I used to watch you since 2014
same haha i havent read since april, last books i read was the cruel prince trilogy which i binged and buddy read with a friend but in between each book i wouldve to wait a while bc my friend needed to catch up. after queen of nothin i wanted to start the novella book and even have it right next to me on my bookish cart but havent picked it up, havent felt like it. before i was reading every night for hours but now idk i havent felt like takin the time off computer at night to go read (i go to bed late and theres a lot of shows out rn xD) before reading the cruel princes trilogy i also read chain of gold and chain of iron and also the acotar series (after reading the novella of cruel prince i wanna read stolen heir and then read either chain of thorns and or a court of silver flames but havent) im goin on a trip in 5 weeks and really wanna read at least the novella for cruel prince before goin and then either take chain of thorns or a court of silver flames on my trip even tho both books are super heavy and idk if ill get any reading done durin my trip xD
did you finish chain of thorns? I was waiting to see you review it after seeing so many mixed reviews!
I am doing a 30 books in 30 days for the month of June 😂 and I know I’m probably going to be in a reading slump afterwards, which will such because of school, but it’s gonna be fine😅
i missed you ❤
This is the least I've read since like 2015 but I have bought a bunch of books, lol. Don't look at my Goodreads this year!
There is a book I am reading at the moment, it is called Sands of Elysium A Knight of Sol.
Emma's ALWAYS beautiful
Is the Little Life reading vlog still coming
I read yellowface I did enjoy it even tho it’s not my favorite by her
I went from 20 to 30 books a year to 5 or 6 now , this year so far i've read only one book.
Tye slump is real
Please, Mam, would you read "Here but Not Here", by Lillian Ross. Like an audiobook we at school have difficulty in the pronunciation, please, I would kiss your feet.
I am wondering if you could spare to read a book of my choice and get paid for, I'm actually a learner of English and I'm struggling with the pronunciation, so help me to learn your language please, would you!
These Violent Delights is the book that convinced me to stop picking up books because of a gorgeous book cover.
Why is Sarah J. Maas a controversial author? I'm about to start throne of glass because it's been on my tbr Forever
Her grandmother is Jewish 🙄 amung a few other things but it's mostly contrived. I hope you enjoy her books
Folks, please don’t read these books 🤮
