I also loved "the land i lost" especially the friendship between alec and lily and the interactions between alec and magnus. I completely agree that the individual plots of the novellas are much easier to connect to and more interesting than the jem/zachariah parts. I think the novellas in ghosts of the shadowmarket works much better on their own than as a connected narritive, unlike the other two short story collections.
I just put down the Lord of Shadows and I'm on the page 359 (I'm rereading it) and ugh all the feelings are back and Julian as a character is a masterpiece on its own and my love and admiration for him just grows more and more, also love Kit (he is a Herondale so what else to expect). Anyway can't wait for my copy of Queen of Air and Darkness to arrive but I live in Serbia and it takes time to deliver it.

No but like seriously I can’t even fathom it, I have so many stress spirals during readathons and I can never get through a single book during them. 🤦🏼♀️ like even if you didn’t finish the entire tbr you still read so much and I haven’t even gotten through chapter 4 of Queen of Air and Darkness after having it for like entire week.

The Fall Into Fantasy readathon made me realize I need to read more fantasy! It's a genre that really scares me, but after reading a bunch of great books during this readathon, I know it's one I really enjoy! I read A Forest of a Thousand Lanterns during the readathon and really enjoyed it! If you haven't read it yet, I highly recommend it 😊

I just recently finished Jade City by Fonda Lee. I really liked it from the themes of family and kinship, to loyalty and drugs cartels. It's very interestingly done with a clan system and gets very dark and quite political. It was also one of the first book I've seen that actually took all the effects war has on a country as it is taking place into account. Definitely a rec if you want to try more high fantasy.
Oh God, it's like watching my own life!! Bookworms are warriors and that's enough reason for us to treat ourselves with more books!! Endless TBR

Recently I read Shadow of the Fox, which feels like a novelized anime and has great world-building. I would also recommend Skyward, though it’s more sci-fi than fantasy, but it’s still great.😁
Narrative therapy is the theory that I use most.
Give the Dark My Love sounds so interesting, I love political intrigue.

I could be wrong but I thought the fall into fantasy readathon ended on the 25 not the 24 and it was 8 days not 7. Whoops I finished all my books on the last day lol. Im currently reading give the dark my love im loving it so much. I hope it doesnt get too gruesome or gory not a fan of that but so far its great.

I'm in the second book of the Seven Realms series by Cinda Williams Chima and I recommend you give it a go. The world building is great and the magic system is interesting, also there are some boss ass female characters.
