- Pokemon Legends Arceus is probably the best Pokemon game ever in terms of its hidden secrets and Easter eggs. There are SO MANY that can be found all throughout the game, and they are extremely fascinating. In today's video, as I've done in the past, I'll be covering some of the CRAZIEST secrets and Easter eggs that Pokemon Legends Arceus has to offer, including some that you may have never noticed before! Typhlosion wholesomeness you didn't know you needed: in Typhosion's pokedex entry it said that. Typhlosion leads the spirits of those who died to the afterlife. Which also means if it's trainer dies, it will go with them to the After life and stay with its trainer so they can be together forever.

Now that I think about it, the Miss Fortune Sisters are also the only trainers in the game who follow the "lock eyes with a trainer and you must battle them" rule that often interrupts your journey! How didn't I notice that before??

If you go to the photo studio and take a picture with Kamado, he will mention that his Galarian armour was actually a gift from someone. So that kinda puts a hole in the theory that he's from Galar, although it doesn't outright deconfirm it.
Could be a gift from Laventon, since he is DEFINITELY Galarian with that Victorian-esque outfit of his, while Kamado dresses more like a traditional japanese.

@@mrsalami8352 well when you think about the history between India and UK, it kinda makes sense, although the game do have some galarian hints such as his blackboard being written in the same letters as the ones used in Galarian writting in sword/shield as well as the stock brittish expressions in his vocabulary.

I'd be happy if the next game doesn't have it. I'm tired of the same structure over and over and I think Game Freak is too, the last evil teams were a parody because of that, I guess
@@antoniorivas9820 I feel like we’ve been getting deeper plots that don’t rely on evil teams with newer gens. This is a good thing, because believe you me, I’m tired of the same team rocket BS over and over again.
In my knowledge, the number 108 is often associated with ghostly aspects in the Chinese and Japanese culture, I have seen this number in other places relating to ghosts before, so it could be a pure coincidence, but this is a regional Typhlosion after all so maybe they do have something related.
On the other hand, Hisuian Typhlosion's signature move Infernal Parade is known as "百鬼夜行", which literally translates to "Hundred ghosts night parade". Could also be a reference to this.
That is correct, actually; the number 108 is connected with several things in Indian religions (including Buddhism, which is highly influential throughout East Asia, including Japan). It's also a reference to the 108 Stars of Destiny (the reincarnations of demons said to have repented of their evil ways) in the novel "Water Margin", if memory serves.

Yeah. 108 is a holy buddhist number.
If I recall correctly, it has to do with Buddhism, with the purging of 108 temptations of humanity to reach a more enlightened state. I was hoping Hoops would mention this, but I think this might warrant a video of its own, and how Spiritomb and Typhlosion are associated with it.
The Hyakki Yakō is also a Japanese legend where at night all kinds of spirits, ghost, and ghouls come out to march the streets. If you're outside during it than you'll be spirited away come morning.
For Kamado, there's nothing that stops the idea that Kamado himself was from Johto and his wife from Galar. Perhaps his would-be wife moved from Galar to Johto, then later married Kamado, and somewhere along the way, giving him the "traditional Galarian armor".
For me specifically, I find it weird that Kamado and Beni could originally be from Galar. I don't know about you, but I'm not sold on the idea of people with clearly Japanese-sounding names happening to be born in a region based on the UK without some sort of Japanese-based ancestry. Heck, Beni is a ninja. That's not a thing outside of Japan.
My headcanon for it is that Kamado is from Johto but, had an opportunity to train in the galarian army, where he got the armor and likely met his wife while there. Then, it could even be possible that the destruction of his hometown in Johton could have even happened while he was gone. Which would explain why he is so worried about failing to protect his people. Maybe he blames himself for his town's destruction because he thinks he could have prevented it had he not abandoned his people.

Now I really want to know Kamado's story. Perhaps he trained in the Isle of Armor and fell in love with a noble Galarian lady, whose father opposed their marriage because Kamado was not a Galarian nobility, but after Kamado proving himself worthy, the father allowed Kamado to marry his daughter and gifted Kamado the traditional Galarian armor.
Some corrections:
* Ingo and Anabel aren't the only fallers (people who felt from a dimensional right and lost their memories) as Looker also became a faller in ORAS, its really easy to miss tho an there's absolutely no plot involving it.
* You dont need to beat the game to listen to the pokemon theme in the title screen.
That third one is definitely not right. I had completed every request and mission a bit before the update came out and that request was not available at all. It was a random extra request that was added in the update, like the coronet highlands balloon minigame.
@@TheRedSmarty I remember very soundly that I completed that request before beating the story (and daybreak came after thay) daybreak only added the post game mass outbreaks and path of solitude quests
I just checked the numbering and that request is number 103, coming after the Massive Mass Outbreak storyline requests from 95-102.
So, it had to have been added in the update otherwise the numbering would not have made any sense before the update. It might not necessarily be a post-game request though.

I think the Johto Theory stands with Kamado not only because of Gyarados, but also because of the crafting system. Kurt and pokeballs using apricorns to catch Pokémon. The origins of Pokémon catching seems to originate from the Johto region and you begin the “first” Pokédex of Hisui/Sinnoh. In order to complete it, you need to catch Pokémon for study. Also, because of the time period trade for pokeballs and the knowledge couldn’t have spread far and wide amongst the other regions we see to date. So Kamado with his traditional Kimono(remember the kimono girls from Johto?) makes heavy implications that he came from Johto. Also the buildings in Jubilife do remind one of Ecruteak city where the kimono girls are located.
Furthermore, in the Japanese version of the game, when Kamado loses his composure, he adopts an accent that comes from the Japanese region Johto is based on.
Kamado having his village destroyed by Gyarodos would explain why Sanqua was told to engrave Magikarp for the Galaxy Building even though she wanted to make Gyarodos
I find it unlikely trainers decided to copy what some rather inconsequential bandits accidentally did. Rather it seems like monetary rewards for winning trainer battles would be a natural consequence of pokemon training becoming a common career path and major part of the economy rather than just a hobby or rare domain of eccentrics.
Who can really say? You know, expiration dates in America were only put into play because of Al Capone. One person started the whole Expiration Date on not only milk, but every other food item. Same goes for the extra seal put onto medicine, vitamins and other food items thanks to one psycho who had poisoned a few bottles of medicine (think it was aspirin). So, there is a high possibility that word got out of these bandits leaving nuggets, and so the tradition began. Sorry for the long response. Edit: BUT, not saying you are wrong, it could be either reason really.
What if Typhlosion preys on Spiritomb. It said that Typhlosion has the ability to eat evil spirits and send them to afterlife. Maybe Typhlosion hunts down Spiritomb to not only to consume it but also to release all the trapped spirits inside it.
That makes since because in the pokedex it said that it purifies lost souls and guides them to the After life.
In that instance, Spiritomb will either not exist anymore or have a "purified" form (Ghost/Fairy mayhaps?)
Perhaps they are like poison dart frogs who get their toxicity from their food but made all the spiritomb in the area go extinct by eating them all thus loosing their ghost type, after the years the numbers of spiritomb could have increased and by the time they did the typhosion could have found a different food source thus spiritomb no longer being part of their diet

There is extra diolgue postgame from Sanqua after you do everything. She will show you a photo that suggests the rifts and Ultra Wormholes are the same thing. Apparently the professor showed it to her and was going about it being the result of a bunch of universes overlapping. I believe she said she painted what is beyond the rift. In Lillycove museum there is a picture of Arceus. It says it is a picture painted a long time ago from the artist's imagination, just as she painted the one in PLA.
I always thought of the money thing as like a way of saying, "Please don't kill me with your Pokemon now that I can't defend myself... here, take some money!"
Watiasec. The Magikarp statues on the Galaxy Building were originally supposed to be Gyarados statues. I'm pretty certain you talk to someone that says that that was the original intent, but then the plan got changed. I don't remember if they said who prevented them from making the Gyarados statues, but maybe it could've come from KAMADO who wouldn't want the Pokemon that destroyed his hometown to be displayed in the village!
After hearing about Hisuian Typhlosion's entries, I dug a bit deeper. It also mentions its flames can also purify spirits, so the spirits can return to the afterlife. And that's what makes me love Hisuian Typhlosion even more.
After I battled Kamado in the post game on prelude beach he states that Hisui should be called Sinnoh. I find it really interesting that Kamado is the one who ended up calling Hisui/Sinnoh Sinnoh
If you battle Zisu in the Path of Tenacity, she will sometimes mention Cyllene being a swordswoman in Hoenn.
108 is also the number of beads on the Buddhist rosary I believe, which ties into Japanese (and other Buddhist related) culture of course. Counting these beads is considered a method of meditation to build focus and _detachment_ to your environment, which can be seen as a subtle indication to the ghost type
Yes and no. There are 108 prayer beads, or some factor of 109 (27 is common). But, there is often one additional bead as a decorative piece.
@@duralearegem6414 yeah that's there too, but perhaps making sense of a "decorative" in a pokemon's design with no other purpose would be difficult? Maybe that's why they stuck at 108? I don't feel like the beads were too related to spiritomb, (maybe it was just inspired by the lore of those 108 spirits since back then single inspirations were more common) but since it's literally around typhlosions neck I do feel like the 108 was quite probably also inspired by this this time.

There's a theory that I've recently discovered that I am one hundred percent getting behind regarding Hisuian Zorua and Mustard, and that is that Zorua/Zoroark (Not Hisuian Zorua) was the Pokemon that Mustard had lost and eventually caused his retirement, but in his old age Mustard "accidentally" hints at Hisuian Zorua's existence.
If you look at Mustard's hair when his hat is off, it strongly resembles the tuft of hair that sits on top of Hisuian Zorua's head. It's not uncommon for trainers to bare a resemblance to Pokemon in some way especially with what we saw in Sun and Moon with the Ultra Beasts, so I'm going out on a limb and saying that Mustard's old friend was of the Zorua line, given that we can tell in his Rare League Card that his hair used to be darker, but the end was still red given how it's a different shading to the rest of his hair on his Rare League Card.
How this relates to Hisuian Zorua is that when Mustard got older, the base of his hair turned white but the end remained red, similar to the Hisuian variant, but in a little darker of a way, it also represents how the two are alike on an emotional level. The only reason that the Hisuian form exists is because the standard Zorua died out after being shunned from their home of origin, and came back in that white, ghostly form. The same could kinda be said for Mustard, as it'd be pretty reasonable that he'd metaphorically die on the inside once he lost his partner Pokemon, and might speed up the process of his hair going white.
This is all just very wild speculation but I thought it'd help to put this out in the world for people to see potentially.
Lake of rage is in northern Johto , the Sinnjoh ruins are a ways north of that ,it’s said that that place came to be as a meeting point between sinnoh and Johto . Kommodo is from Johto
I honestly don't think the red, blue, and white basculin are a reference to the American Flag because a lot of countries in the world have red, white and blue flags including France and the UK both of which have also been Pokemon regions.
But basculin was introduced in an American based reigon
@@GodsLeftEye Your point? Are any red and white pokemon in a japanese region are a reference to the Japanese flag? No, they aren't. Because that would be lazy. It is more likely a reference to the fact that real world striped bass tend to be shades of silvery blue, silvery white, and rusty brownish red. By focusing on the unlikely less interesting thing you miss out on probably the real more interesting thing.
Or the fact that Red, White, and Blue have all been considered "colors of death" at certain points and locations in history leaning into the fact they evolution is a ghost type. Which makes even more sense since in some Asian cultures including Japanese white is the color not only of death, but of the journey to and from the realm of the dead.

Why do i have a feeling that the reason why Game Freak never bring back the Battle frontier is that the characters have become Fallers as well?
A secret I found in Arceus that rarely people actually see is if you catch a shiny Pokémon and it’s your FIRST Pokémon of that kind the picture in the Dex that shows up is it’s shiny version not it’s original version. You can’t even switch out the pictures like you can if you catch a shiny of a Pokémon you already have. It’s like you assume that the shiny version is it’s base version and I think that’s really cool.
I found this out with catching my first shiny Bonsly recently.

The reference to 108 might also have something to do with Japanese Buddhist practices where, at the end of the year, a bell is rung 108 times. The 108 number represents the number of earthly temptations (Kleshas or Bonno) one must overcome to achieve nirvana.
Similarly in Tibetan Buddhism, mala beads are worn with 108 beads, symbolizing the words of the Buddha written across 108 volumes.
I also know that, as HH Jan pointed out as well, Typhlosion's Infernal Parade move in Japanese is literally named for "Night Parade of One Hundred Demons." Both a mythological parade or riot of demons through the street at night, but also a modern idiom for the concept of pandemonium.
Yeah I agree the 108 might be more related to these religious aspects since after all pokemon is heavily influenced by Japanese culture.

Here's another Easter egg:
Grandtree Arena eventually becomes the Old Chateau. This is because you get the Insect Plate there in dp and BDSP games outside. And you get the Insect Plate from Kleavor after defeating it in the same area :)
Interestingly, this would make more sense to say The Heartwood is the in-game equivalent to Eternal Forest, since it's also where the Old Chateau is located within
Isn't eterna forest north of oreburgh I don't think it's grand tree just because oreburgh tunnel is to the north of grand tree and it's smart and makes sense but geologically isn't it a different area I think somewhere near the bottom left of cornet highlands is probably closer to where eterna city would be located plus you can find rotom in cornet highlands too I think it would make sense for it to be placed somewhere around there
@@lcrilley93 a lot of the geographic locations do not really line up between the BDSP/DPPt and PLA.
I noticed there was something going on with the Misfortune Sisters dropping gold after the battles, but I was trying to figure out if they were from some wealthy family and who could that family be tied to in the modern era. But your point was very interesting and I fully believe that's the case now. Nice lore construction and nice catch on getting that. Please do another video! This game is fascinating.

One final thing about Legends Arceus actually reference something which happens to something that we should talk about and not argue or ignore which would be the PokeBall that the Red Chain becomes in Legends Arceus which actually references a distinct ball that we see all the time that been unobtainable but had been the very ball that contains the event Pokemon in the previous games with that being the Cherish Ball that contains the event Pokemon from the events that you get upon their release like Zeraora from Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon via event codes. I mean if you look at the Red Chain Ball closely it has a black circle and the whole ball is all red just like the Cherish Ball icon that you see on your event Pokemon which the Cherish Ball does appear when you send out your event Pokemon in battle as well
I found another easter egg during Daybreak. Mai reveals that she is actually Adaman's sister, which means that Adaman is also related to Marley, though he is likely not her direct ancestor.

They aren't actually related, she just treats him as a brother. Pretty sure its mentioned by one of the children at the Diamond Settlement.
For the typhlosion thing, there is an interesting line in the pokedex which says its flames are actually purifying lost spirits. So perhaps typhlosion does have a connection to spiritomb cus its trying to purify the spirits that were released from the keystone?
The kamado thing about being from the lake of rage, i could see it as it matches up with the story and beni being a ninja would make more sense coming from johto instead of galar. There could also be a hint in the fact there are magikarp statues on the roof of the headquarters which were originally gonna be garados. But there's still issues with this being that kamado is wearing "traditional galarian armor", if he was from johto and he cared about honoring traditions like ceremonial armor, he wouldnt claim armor and traditions from a region that wasnt his own. Also there's the issue of laventon being highly theorised as the ancestor of leon and hop, and the fact there's a statue of galarian wheezing on the headquarters
If anything, he seems to have connections to both galar and johto so i could guess that perhaps he originally came from galar with laventon and settled in johto. Made a life with his wife and met beni here, then the lake of rage happened and so they all moved up to hisui?
It's likely his wife was from Galar. Wearing it into battle seems to me like a tribute to his departed love. He may also wear it as he believes she still protects him. Something like that.

Hey Hoops, great video , and about spiritomb and typhlosion having 108 spirits, it might be due to the number 108 being really prevelant in Many Asian Countries.
Myself I am from India and its really connected to spirituality ( hence the ghost types having it) and I think even Japan and hokaido might have this connection.

Think about it. Typhlosion is pure fire in modern times, the ghost part was exorcised by some kind of ritual, the kind that you get into with capturing the spiritomb in Arceus after collecting all 107 purple wisps, the 108 being where you go to catch spiritomb. You accidentally end up performing a ritual to pull the spirits from typhlosion's gene pool and it's role in guiding spirits.
I absolutely love this game! I think it’s the best one yet! I’m guessing from the amount of content you’re releasing about it you feel the same way?

The Pokemon website and the PLA Pokedex say that Typhlosion eats “wayward”, “lost”, and “forsaken” spirits and purifies them when doing so. My theory is that Hisuian Typhlosion may be a predator of Spiritomb, eating its 108 spirits and then using the purified/subdued spirits in its attacks. Possibly it eats the odd keystone while eating Spiritomb, which is why the spirits stay with Typhlosion instead of just moving on after being purified since the keystone binds the spirits even after being purified. This would also explain why Hisui has enough Spiritomb to have multiple mass outbreaks but they are very rare in present Sinnoh. Perhaps after Laventon and Space-Time warps brought Cyndaquil to Hisui, the Typhlosion hunted Spiritomb to near extinction.

I always assumed Kamado was born and grew up in Galar, but then moved to Johto, and then to Hisui.

My first thought about the Onix was that he ends up digging the Oreburgh Gate with the Onix just based on where on a Sinnoh map it would be; but the statue and coal hints made me think he’ll go on to dig more as well

Or the village destroyed can be the one from Tapu Bulu in Alola. Just the armor is made of steel. One of its weakness. For me it would make sense too

Please continue!! I love these videos!! Can you explain then the location of oreburgh mine and eterna forest on BDSP and PLA? That tunnel where onix is and the forest right next to that zone don’t make sense on the map comparing to BDSP. But make a whole sense if they are really the ancient eterna forest and oreburgh city zones. Also, kleavor also is a hint here, being rock and bug, for coal/mine and the forest respectively. Can you elaborate this line of thought please? I don’t get this whithin the map.

It’s weird how it’s canon in this game that “aura” was coined by Laventon when years ago, the term “aura” was already in use in ancient times according to the 8th Pokemon movie (Lucario and the Mystery of Mew)
the 108 souls it's reference to how in buddhism the monks have to avoid temptations to reach Nirvana and these are exactly 108, more the beads in their collars just like typhlosion has are 108, in contrast Spiritomb is the amalgamation of 108 temptations that's why he's sealed

And Pokemon Legends proved that to be right, lol. The first "true Battles" of the region happen against bandits, actual thieves.
With the miss fortune sisters if you sneak up on them they give you special dialogue saying that you shouldn't have suprised them
3:35 usually in these cases we should watch for pokemon origins if they both are inspired by same legends or stories. As it turns out 108 is a famous number in buddishim and reperesents 108 temptations. Typhlosion simply uses the same motif of spirits and numbers. There is no direct connection unless it is later specified typhlosions find spiritombs to consume.
There is a really nice theory by CZcamsr PaleoJay in which they mention how Zoroark’s illusions could be related to Mimikyu, it’s a bit out there but it’s still possible
It's likely komado is from johto as he and beni both have Japanese names whereas lavinton is from galar and has an English name. He likely studied or travelled abroad to galar and that's where he got the armour and possibly met lavinton. He may or may not met his wife there too and they lived near Lake of rage and when gyarados rampaged, their homes got destroyed and his wife died.

You don’t have to beat the game to hear that iconic intro in the title screen. I’ve heard multiple times, and I just defeated Avalugg.

Another fun fact about Sanqua is that her closet has a suit with a cape in it, so this implies that she might not only like to play dress up, but she is the ancestor to Clair as well. Which would make her Lance's ancestor to. In other words this implies Karen is related to both Clair and Lance.
There is also an interesting point about Kamado being from Johto, and that is in the japanese version, his lines have a Kansai dialect, and Johto was based in the Kansai region. Plus despite being associated with Galar, he is dressed in a traditional japanese kimono rather than something more western like Laventon. And we all know Johto is the region closer to traditional, old-fashioned Japan compared to the other regions.

Hisuian Typhlosion´s Pokédex-Entry states that it uses its flame to guide lost souls into the afterlife and we know through Spiritomb´s Pokédex.Entry that it´s made up from 108 "evil" spirits. So maybe through its new powers Typhlosion gave the spirits of a Spiritomb redemption which is why it can use them in its attacks.

Basculin could also just be a reference to BW and BW2 legendaries main color. Sins the legendaries main colors are Black, White and Grey. But then 2nd Main color is Re an Light Grey/ Ice White (for lack of a better name)
The galaxy HQ has Magikarp decorations so maybe that's a hint to Johto and Kamado's origin?
Actually, Basculin's stripes are a reference to the flag of Luxembourg as it's also three stripes of red, white, and blue.

I wish we had more lore about the ancient Sinnoh people. I guess the clans could be descendants of them, but they're clearly very disconnected from them as they let all of these huge monuments go to ruin. Like who built these monuments? Where did they go? What connections did they have with the creation trio? Why do they seem to be more advanced than the Hisuian people based on their architecture?
I always wonder which is the next battle facility staffs to be the next faller.

Do you think they left commander kamados story there because his land is going to be the next legends game? Maybe that pokemon is still there and is an alpha pokemon or a noble pokemon
My personal theory about the commander is, that he is from Kalos and the destruction came from the big war.
Imagine if the 108 spirits is a reference to typhlosions attack going out of control while in a frenzied state or similar and it gives birth to spiritomb but since spiritomb already exists and was locked away once using magic this is unlikely but what is more plausible is that to lock spiritomb away again they needed to recreate the magic spell but didn't have enough strength on their own so they borrowed typhlosions power to recreate the spell since spiritomb is made up of 108 spirits and typhlosions signature attack just happens to use 108 spirits and is a ghost type move it worked but in doing so it loses its connection to the spirit world losing it's ghost typing in the process and becomes a pure fire type essentially meaning that the starter we're given at the start of jhoto and the other pure fire type starters we see there are all descendants of this very typhlosion since LOA basically links all the regions together it's possible that at some point a couple of ppl went back to jhoto or visited existing family there and gave them one of this typhlosions descendants and ppl visiting hisui from jhoto would've liked it enough to take one back with them as well and in the modern day enough time has passed that it's become prevalent enough that there's quite a few of them around but not so much that you'd find them out in the wilds of jhoto making them the perfect starter to be given out especially considering it's lineage and what it's ancestor was able to achieve.

I think that commander kamado was born and raised in Johto and then he moved to Galar, maybe he was in his way back to johto when he decided to stay in hisui
I have a theory regarding Palina. I think that she is the ancestor of Blaine. There are a few reasons why I think that she is Blaine's ancestor.
For example her noble pokemon is an arcanine and Blaine's main pokemon is an arcanine. Also the arcanine lives on an island with a volcano. Blaine also lives on an island with a volcano that being Cinnabar-Island. If you want, you can use this theory in your next video about Legends Arceus.
It would make more sense for kamado to be based in the johto region especially with how Johto and Sinnoh are linked together it would be nice tie them together.
You know, they might be yeeting the battle facility people across time and space to prevent the battle frontier and equivalent areas from ever returning. Also why didn't he mention the kansai dialect stuff for the Johto theory? That's pretty compelling too.
One thing that confuses me is that the Underground Man says that he was the first to start digging with the Grand Underground. If that is true that would make Kochika the Underground Man and thus Byron's dad. Honestly though I think Kochika made tunnels and statues which eventually collapsed and then the Underground Man excavated them again.

Um... about the Misfortune Sisters, they don't just appear in areas in the post-game.
I know this because I've (seemingly unlocked), and encountered them in the first 3 areas after freeing Arcanine from its frenzy.
Oh, and instead of them dropping nuggets, they drop 3 stardust instead.

Rampaging pokemon could have been related to gigantamax too, if in this age people rarely have pokemon partener a bunch of huge pokemon rampaging like they did in S/S could have been a disaster to people there.
Maybe you can get hisuian typhlosion in future games by evolving quilava with a spiritomb in your party
