I think it's so funny that Pokémon channels like you and Lockstin who are family friendly are sponsored by Manscsped.
That painting is based on "Starry Night" painted by Vangogh. It's Belgian
@@TipsySpinda He made it in North of France in the saint-Paul asylum
@@ianbrown3948 fair enough. His house in Belgium is really cool though
9:30 - false! That's a Van Gogh, who died in France, so that's a gen 6 remake evidence.
HoopsandHiphop: " There are new battle animations in this game.
Yeah, I was very surprised ( and slightly horrified) the first time that my Buizel fired a Water Gun out of its butt😂
Be thankful it wasnt muddy water
Buizel use Mud Shot
Fun fact: If you evolve your starter before heading to Sandgem Town you'll still get a pokedex update despite not having the dex yet. 😂
Hey do you know? that if you want to use Gyarados and it no longer knows Dragon rage at level 25 and that Grass Knot absolutely devastates the Pokemon because of it's weight. Nuzlocke water type Pokemon only don't evolve your starter at all.
@@jazminemiles8195 the more you know. 😂
Edit: Wow didn't think I'd get 50+ likes. Thanks everyone. :)
@@jazminemiles8195 I can’t understand this I’m so confused
(No offense to your grammar I’m just an idiot)
@@BigShot57 it's not his grammar and your not an idiot. :)
Then i wonder what happens if you make it LV 100 before you meet rowan?
The BDSP mark on pokemon actually resembles more. It also resembles the drawing on the ruins in Celestic Town, which shows the lake trio on a triangle. If you look closer you will actually realize this resembles the entire Sinnoh map, the 3 lake spirits live in their 3 angles of the triangle of the whole Sinnoh region. What's in the middle of the triangle? It is of course Spear Pillar where the whole Sinnoh region originated.
It is actually very subtle mentioned of what this symbol means, so subtle that you thought it came from the Sinjho Ruins. If you try to access Spear Pillar before Team Galactic takes away the Lake Trio from the lake, you will find that the path to Spear Pillar is blocked by a drawing that is Identical to the one in Celestic Town. This actually indicates that the Lake Trio is in fact a seal for this sacred place, and this is also the reason Cyrus needed to capture the Lake Trios in order to access there. On top of that, after Palkia and Dialga are summoned, the Lake Trio will show up and form the Triangle around the legendary pokemon, sealing its power away again, therefore, stopping Cyrus's plan.
In Platinum this didn't happen because both legendaries were summoned on Spear Pillar, thus the lake trio could only fly around and can't really do anything to them. Apparently, two legendaries are too powerful for them to calm down at the same time.
So that symbol actually has way more meaning than the Sinjho ruins. It is pretty much the symbol of the Sinnoh region, three circles are the lake trios, the triangle is the entire region under their control.
Ironically this is why i hated the new look of the cave drawing it took the ambiguity of the depictions because after the events of platnium cynthia makes a comment how these depictions may not represent the lake trio and may represent giratina palkia and dialga and the middle representing something even bigger. Which was confirmed in HeartGold and SoulSilver as the three represented arceus. But since these remakes are shot for shot remakes this ambiguity is now gone. Goes the same for the eterna city statue in the original putting either palkia or dialga's palletes on it made it look like either pokemon but now it just looks like a fusion. I'm sorry i sound nitpicking but i really loved for these remakes to go deep into the pokemon lore than just remake them exactly how they were in 2006.
This might explain the need to showcase Giratina in Platinum.
@@mattsa9540 I totally agree! I was very disappointed that they really went faithful on this part, rather than expanding the lore as other remakes do. It is very cool that similar symbols can have more than one meaning.
To be fair, after you beat Volo in Legend Arceus, Giratina did change its side and decided to protect the Hisui (Sinnoh) region. That is why it appeared in the Platinum plot at that time to stop the two legendaries.
you missed one easter egg: there's a trainer in lost tower called "kirby" with a cleffa
lol, it was pretty funny when I battled him. So maybe cleffa and Kirby are related?
@@mohammadtaufiqatiq6036 Kleffy?
He probably didn't put it because this trainer also appear in the original games as well
The painting kinda looks like Van Goghs "Starry night" . Being that we already have a entry in france, it could be referring to a Netherlands region as that is Van Goghs place of birth
France and Italy are two different countries lol
@@EGecko2
They mentioned France because that is where Van Gogh lived and painted most of his life- referring to the van gogh like painting being a clue
@@EGecko2 The painting isn't Italian
bdsp is interesting and cool. The theme for major legends has some primal dialga vibes.
I have to say that I love the reference to Bidoof being an hm slave when using the moves to get around in the new game even though I loath both it and it's evolution line.
I found that funny too for the same reason. Like what a random Pokémon to use as one. (Then again, in my Alpha Sapphire I used a Slakoth as one until I could find a Lombre, and thanks to the EXP Share, it's been gaining experience and is now a Vigoroth. So I could very well end up with Slaking as an HM slave, which is hilarious).
Bidoof is the most compatible with the HM moves, and they made it that way on purpose to save on needing to use many pokemon for overworld tasks.
I got this to play with my daughter after last playing gen4 in school,,
I was explaining HMs and saying we need a Pokemon to basically be our bitch and named the Bidoof we caught "Nope"
They also given the ghost girl and butler a creepy laugh as well as a discording piano sound. The area creeped me out before but hearing that is creepier. Didn't know the painting did it too and now I'm skipping on Rotom. (Not really, I still want it, but brrr) They also kept the fact the painting's eyes follow you too in adjacent rooms if you look closely.
The maylene thing is like the Giovanni theory from gen 1, being a flying gym
Leader instead of a ground one since the badge looks like a wing
I was having so much trouble with Cynthia it's unreal. I happen to get really lucky, it was Garchomp giving me problems, who doesn't give it problems too. However I sent out my Honchkrow and used Foul Play. Knowing after infinite failures that she was going to pull out Sword Dance, then proceeding to destroy my team. I gave him a Razor Claw plus his ability Super Luck I one hit KO'd that Garchomp. I was freaking ecstatic. Plus after finding out this amazing duo, I am hitting critical shots at an ungodly level
I got lucky and had enough revives to deplete all of lucarios PP lol
15:00 theres a chance that a child spawns in the room to the right and then walks out. its super cool
I had this happen in my first playthrough. A little girl with green hair.
now that gen 9 has been revealed it’s funny to see what ppl thought to be “references” to gen 9 before it’s announcement
Masuda always says "Ciao", even in its "real life" posts, it's a false alarm!
Awesome video as always!
So glad I wasn't the only one who remembered this from the previous games. Even in gen 1 he greeted you with Ciao.
Italy would be a cool region, but I'm pretty sure that's not the reference you think it is lol. Thanks notsoAceTrainer
We're it not for seeing your comment I'd be looking it up for confirmation
10:17 in fact, that painting is exactly like van Gogh's starry night picture.
I love how you managed to find secrets and Easter Eggs that BirdKeeperToby didn’t even see, but the Gen 9 Painting hint, he already covered. Regardless I now want to see his reaction to the Old Chateau Painting!
To go off of your point about masuda’s greeting possibly being a tease of Gen 9s region inspiration, maybe the fact that Gengar and Psyduck are next to him and the other NPC could be foreshadowing for those two Pokémon having a regional form or some other significance!
No, they are masuda's and the other guy's favourite pokemon
@@rodrigoneto9162 I realized that after leaving the comment but it would be cool if that’s also why they end up with new forms lol
No more Gengar forms please, new Psyduck tho?... Hell yeah
I hope we get a Canadian based region someday…
After running around after you discussing of the strange painting of potential Italy region for gen 9, I noticed that the calendars in some buildings have what appears to be a Greek temple on them
No one questioning why manscaped is advertising on a Pokémon channel 😂
we need more pokemon games in this style, imagine emerald
I hope so, best Pokémon game of all time
Yes I have an emerald save file from almost 10 years ago!
I really wanna see heart gold
The sinnoh symbol is also a reference to the three lakes in the game, since that is their placement in reference to coronet on the map
Junichi Masuda's "Ciao, I'm a game director!" greeting likely isn't a hint at the future region, unfortunately. This is what the game director says in the original Sinnoh games, word for word.
thanks so much Hoops for putting me in the video I feel so honored 😁
love your content bro, keep being awesome! 👍🏾❤
There is a "Venice" region in the Pokémon movie Pokémon Heroes: Latias and Latios.
Actually in the original games the creator also had said "Ciao" so more than likely it was kept in as a reference to the original game.
I actually found the laser painting when I wanted to get rotom, then remembered it wasn't Tuesday and noticed the painting was demonic
The first painting you pointed out looks like van Gogh's Starry Night, and the second painting looks like a portrait of Beethoven.
van Gogh cut-off his ear, while Beethoven suffered hearing loss.
What are they pointing out?
God I feel that I was not a fan when they were first announced but this game has grown on me so much. The OG pearl was the first video game I ever owned so there’s a ton of nostalgia for me lol
Not a surprise that most ppl who were hating on these games are now loving them
Still not worth 60 dollars but that's just my opinion.
Personally I been seeing more hate or disappointment due to the lack of new content, remake wise this is the most underwhelming
If I remember correctly, the painting in the Old Chateau, in the original games, had something to do with Gengar, which is why the eyes glow red when you look away from it.
Low-key I will be so hyped if we can transfer Pokemon from legends arceus to brilliant diamond and shining pearl
We can't. Not to each other. Maybe from other games to them
We will most likely be able to take gen 1-4 Pokémon from legends of arceus and transfer them to bdsp but not the new ones shown
the word low-key makes no sense in that sentence
Italian Pokemon region? Yes please! So many Pokemon and trainers could be made from Roman Mythology
So do the Red eyes in the painting you forgot, it was a special event for DPP, that let you catch a Gengar.
I absolutely love the remix because of Easter eggs and references like these! Sometimes it's the little details in life that get you.
Well. We got the gen 9 trailer. I think this guy called it before everyone. 👏 👏 👏
If we get an Italy region for Gen 9 then I’m predicting there will be a, “Plumber,” class trainer and there will be a, “Plumber Mario” lol
If they don't do this, I'll be very disappointed XD
I just started Shining Pearl. Nice to know I don't need a Bidoof HM Slave and can actually have that 6th Pokémon for something I want to use lol
The painting actually more resembles Van Gogh's Starry Night.
I thought the identifying symbol of the BDSP games was like what you see when visiting Celeste town (or whatever the name is of the small town past the fog), when you enter the cave, which I believe is the Lake Trio forming a triangle and in the middle a ‘non-distinct’ mon in/as a circle.
7:28 good reminder for everyone
Spoiler for Arceus: There is mention of a painting later in the game. The BD/SP church with a volcano might be that Easter Egg. Someone else on CZcams said that Van Goh might have actually been a hint to Scarlet and Violet, as not only has Cynthia held onto a secret, but the room with orange and grape wallpaper was also hidden away behind a barrier of red rope.
So it’s safe to say that Scarlet and Violet could’ve been a side project for quite a long time.
the painting is starry night painted by Vincent van Gogh, a Dutch person
In the original diamond and pearl games, the game director also says “ciao”
Been waiting for this one 🤘🏼
My original Pearl team was basically 4 mons for most of the game since I had to carry around a Bibarel for the entire game and I wanted Palkia on my final team
Also the guard in that gate where the scientist talks about upgrading your Pokédex say “ man I’m really thirsty” in reference to red and blue. There was a guard that you needed to buy a soft drink from the top floor of dept store so you could pass. F*** I’m in my 30s
I wasnt expecting THAT sponsor xD
These Pokemon Games are 🔥 I bought Brilliant Diamond Digitally and then Shining Pearl Physically a couple days later.
In route 217, you’ll see a house. Upon entering the house, you’ll see a woman sitting by the table. After approaching her, she’ll speak oddly and hand you a Spell Tag. After you leave the house, turn around and re-enter the house, you’ll eerily see… she is no longer there… which I believe that Spell Tag, that Boosts Ghost-Type Moves, was her sealing tag to the Pokémon World, giving it to you released the Spell and allowed her to go into the after life.
If gen 9 is in Italy i feel like Zacian and Zamazenta would have made more sense for them to be in this kind of region, since,if you don't know, the founders of Rome/Italy were Remulus and Remus, who were raised by wolfs. And maybe we will finally get the final form of Lycanrock. Can't wait.
Dawn Form Lycanroc is badly needed
the big thing I hate about this game is you cann't get Darkri, celebi, Deoxys, Shaymin, Arceus because you need the event to happen and it still hasn't happen yet
Fun fact: Ciao actually means “I am your slave” but it is used as a fun way to say hello. I learned that from my tour guide during my trip in Italy.
10:31 he says the same in the original diamond
I doubt there's gonna be an Italian region
That painting in the Old Chateau literally freaked me out, even though I was there in the morning.
The last painting one could be a reference to Five Nights at Freddy's, the laugh sounds similar to Freddy's laugh in Fnaf 1.
I believe Greece would be a better region instead of Italy.
If we get an Italian generation, we better get a regional variant of tangela. I WANT MY SPAGHETTI MON
That point about upgrading the dex happens a second time. In the post game in the battle area someone says that they will upgrade your Pokédex to be able to see language differences but says it’s already upgraded.
"This is a reference to God and Jesus" I'm sorry but I started laughing so hard omg
Both ARE fiction after all
I love how in the originals and remakes you can glitch your way into the "ABYSS"
Maylene having a family of flying types is a cute idea to me. :)
It’s very interesting. Something tells me though that they may end up making a Platinum version like BDSP, idk why but I just have a feeling about it.
I wouldn't mind just as long as it has all the dlc and myster events
Now i cant unhear that the Last laugh of the painting just sounds like freddy fazbears laugh omg
If every gym leader had one legendary/mythical Pokemon, Maylene should have a Galarian Zapdos, since it is a fighting and flying type!
Hadoken? you mean Dan's version of the same move, the Gadouken which is a one-handed version that has very little range.
The blackbelt throw animation looks nothing like Ryu's energy attack
The guy at the front of the church looks like Giovanni... Even his comments about him, his son (silver) and his life references his team rocket career
Fun fact: If you battle Maylene in battle tower she uses a Dragonite a Dragon/Flying type mon 👀
I would say that the pose and the throw animation of the black belt is more of reference to art of fighting/king of fighters because one of the characters ryo idle animation looks the same as the pose the black belt makes at the start of battle and the PokeBall throw animation looks the same as ryo using the hagoken move because it done using one arm instead of both which is how hadoken is done
OK that Street Fighter bit killed me...THAT'S NOT HOW YOU THROW A HADOUKEN
Pokemon themselves don't like to steer clear of religious references only the english localisers do. TPCi literally renamed Judgment to Justice in the Arceus movie and words like "god", "heaven" and "pray" are straight up banned for use in the dub despite being used several times in the original japanese releases.
Love these Easter Eggs! I can see the similarity between the karate fighter and Ryu, but it just looks more his Pokéball throw is like a palm strike to me. Is there a link between Game Freak or Ilca to Street Fighter that I'm missing?
I ordered Brilliant Diamond. I can't wait to beat my dad with this!!!
Pretty interesting references. Soon I'll get to see them for myself when I pick up Brilliant Diamond soon.
I found that haunted painting easter egg yesterday. I kinda wish I hadn't, because I was half asleep and it was late at night at the time, so in my reduced mental state, it really freaked me out for a good minute when the stupid thing laughed at me when I turned into leave as I didn't realize it came from the game.
The girl that vanished in the other room was quite creepy too in the haunted mansion
My staravia at level 33(one level before evolution), when it would use fly the image that would pop up would show I'm already flying on the 3rd evolution of that pokemon
I was wondering if painting from the Old Chateau would have a bigger purpose in these games. In the OG games, all it did was have the red eyes
I hate that the removed the ghosts in the chateau.
My favorite reference it's got to be when you're battling Dawn and she's got almost the exact same team As her anime counterpart
Even if u didn't pick turtwig?
@@pokuhmoo9415 Only if you pick Turtwig.
Hmm, not sure if this also is of note, as I've never played this one or the original, but the house that the Devs are in (as well as others in that city) is also blatantly modeled after Santorini, Greece... Maybe a Pokemon game based on that entire region of Europe?
So I'm convinced the picture that isn't about and italian pokemon region but a nod to Latios and Latias movie where it took place in a city that kind of looked like that. It reminds me of one of the sweeping shots they did outside of the city as Ash and everyone get close the city at the begining of the movie.
I'm never going back to the Old Chateau after watching this
I'm pretty sure the game director said Ciao in the original games too. I have the original Pearl so I'll have to double check.
Liked for the Sinjoh Ruins Easter egg!
If mythical Pokemon tie in with the next region, zarude as a Italy connection with jungles and Brazil
Seems to perfect
Italy would be interesting
*looks at haunted painting *
Painting; "Find me a child that I might live again!"
The italianish painting gave me stary night vibes
Huh, I figured that the painting was a reference to the Starry Night... also there is an unnamed game developer in Diamond Pearl and Platinum who a,so says "ciao" so I'm not really sure either of those are references to the next region
I immediately knew the symbol was in reference to the Sinjoh ruins event.
The green bucket looks like a mario pipe.
That's a representation of Van Gogh's Starry Night, so I like the Italian idea
Imagine being a young kid asking your mom for her phone to watch a Pokémon video and you get hit with MANSCAPED😭
Dead XD
Bro I’m 10 what am I going to use manscaped for???
That painting looks like Van Gogh’s Stary Night.
I wonder, would marleen by chance have been planned as a bird gym leader in the original games but switch to fighting (I feel like I heard/ read that before but I might be mistaken with an other gym leader).
Cause of that is so, then technically this would be a Easter egg to an development matter of the first game
bro in that one old run down house i was in the 2nd room on top but in the 3rd room i saw a little girl in purple walking out of the room i went in that room no one was in there
Please continue to announce whether your videos have spoilers or not. Would really appreciate it!
Rip Gliscor my one complaint
Actually also why does Flint have his DP team? I know there’s Houndoom Magmorter and Flareon in the game
Just wait till you see the rematch teams
