    The BDSP mark on pokemon actually resembles more. It also resembles the drawing on the ruins in Celestic Town, which shows the lake trio on a triangle. If you look closer you will actually realize this resembles the entire Sinnoh map, the 3 lake spirits live in their 3 angles of the triangle of the whole Sinnoh region. What's in the middle of the triangle? It is of course Spear Pillar where the whole Sinnoh region originated.
    It is actually very subtle mentioned of what this symbol means, so subtle that you thought it came from the Sinjho Ruins. If you try to access Spear Pillar before Team Galactic takes away the Lake Trio from the lake, you will find that the path to Spear Pillar is blocked by a drawing that is Identical to the one in Celestic Town. This actually indicates that the Lake Trio is in fact a seal for this sacred place, and this is also the reason Cyrus needed to capture the Lake Trios in order to access there. On top of that, after Palkia and Dialga are summoned, the Lake Trio will show up and form the Triangle around the legendary pokemon, sealing its power away again, therefore, stopping Cyrus's plan.
    In Platinum this didn't happen because both legendaries were summoned on Spear Pillar, thus the lake trio could only fly around and can't really do anything to them. Apparently, two legendaries are too powerful for them to calm down at the same time.
    So that symbol actually has way more meaning than the Sinjho ruins. It is pretty much the symbol of the Sinnoh region, three circles are the lake trios, the triangle is the entire region under their control.

    • @mattsa9540
      @mattsa9540 Před 2 lety +2

      Ironically this is why i hated the new look of the cave drawing it took the ambiguity of the depictions because after the events of platnium cynthia makes a comment how these depictions may not represent the lake trio and may represent giratina palkia and dialga and the middle representing something even bigger. Which was confirmed in HeartGold and SoulSilver as the three represented arceus. But since these remakes are shot for shot remakes this ambiguity is now gone. Goes the same for the eterna city statue in the original putting either palkia or dialga's palletes on it made it look like either pokemon but now it just looks like a fusion. I'm sorry i sound nitpicking but i really loved for these remakes to go deep into the pokemon lore than just remake them exactly how they were in 2006.

    • @vinnievu1
      @vinnievu1 Před 2 lety

      @hhjan594 Před 2 lety +1

      @@mattsa9540 I totally agree! I was very disappointed that they really went faithful on this part, rather than expanding the lore as other remakes do. It is very cool that similar symbols can have more than one meaning.

    • @hhjan594
      @hhjan594 Před 2 lety

      To be fair, after you beat Volo in Legend Arceus, Giratina did change its side and decided to protect the Hisui (Sinnoh) region. That is why it appeared in the Platinum plot at that time to stop the two legendaries.

    I would say that the pose and the throw animation of the black belt is more of reference to art of fighting/king of fighters because one of the characters ryo idle animation looks the same as the pose the black belt makes at the start of battle and the PokeBall throw animation looks the same as ryo using the hagoken move because it done using one arm instead of both which is how hadoken is done

    Pokemon themselves don't like to steer clear of religious references only the english localisers do. TPCi literally renamed Judgment to Justice in the Arceus movie and words like "god", "heaven" and "pray" are straight up banned for use in the dub despite being used several times in the original japanese releases.

    Love these Easter Eggs! I can see the similarity between the karate fighter and Ryu, but it just looks more his Pokéball throw is like a palm strike to me. Is there a link between Game Freak or Ilca to Street Fighter that I'm missing?

    I found that haunted painting easter egg yesterday. I kinda wish I hadn't, because I was half asleep and it was late at night at the time, so in my reduced mental state, it really freaked me out for a good minute when the stupid thing laughed at me when I turned into leave as I didn't realize it came from the game.

    Hmm, not sure if this also is of note, as I've never played this one or the original, but the house that the Devs are in (as well as others in that city) is also blatantly modeled after Santorini, Greece... Maybe a Pokemon game based on that entire region of Europe?

  • @MsFullnight

    So I'm convinced the picture that isn't about and italian pokemon region but a nod to Latios and Latias movie where it took place in a city that kind of looked like that. It reminds me of one of the sweeping shots they did outside of the city as Ash and everyone get close the city at the begining of the movie.

    I wonder, would marleen by chance have been planned as a bird gym leader in the original games but switch to fighting (I feel like I heard/ read that before but I might be mistaken with an other gym leader).
    Cause of that is so, then technically this would be a Easter egg to an development matter of the first game
