@Candice Lynn You do not know how decimals work?
Eighteen cents is .18 of one dollar. The reason a cent is so called is that it is 1/100 of one dollar.
To write '.18 cents' is to indicate 1.8 tenths or 18 one hundredths of one cent.

    • @-oiiio-3993
      @-oiiio-3993 Před rokem

@Candice Lynn This has absolutely nothing to do with 'nuance' and I comprehend fully that you do not understand how simple decimals work.
The OP wrote, _".18 cents! What will we do with all the money saved!?"_
You answered with the following gibberish: _" I'm pretty sure the "1" in front of the ".18" was implied. "1.18" = one dollar and eighteen cents. Ergo, ".18" the way he wrote it was meant to mean "18 cents". That's how I read it, anyway. 🙃"_
There was no ""1" in front of the ".18"" whether implied or otherwise. The OP wrote ".18 cents".
To write .18 dollar or $.18 is to indicate eighteen cents which could also be expressed as eighteen one hundredths of one dollar.
That is why the original one cent coins of 1793 bore the inscription 1/100 and the half cent coins 1/200.
To write .18 cents is to write eighteen one hundredths of one cent which may also be expressed as 1.8 tenths of one cent or $.0018

But, gradually raising the price of ammunition without logical reason would probably make buying bullets less desirable, right? Wait, all of this makes sense!! And let me tell you from Germany. We have the Tax Holiday right now! but... SURPRISE: They just keep the extra profit and the prices stay high.

We've had a "gas tax holiday" in my state (a move from a governor I hate) and its made a huge difference honestly. If congress truly cared they would do this for all of us.

Now all of a sudden they're so concerned about funding infrastructure...they could cut billions from defense and fund whatever they want. One of those billions we sent to Ukraine

So we should quit paying for every social service so companies can make profits. No- gas companies need to lower the price or be banned from the government using their product

They don't want to do anything about oil bc all of our representatives are investors in these companies. They're making fortunes their children's children couldn't spend. Not to mention lobbying.
Same with homelessness. Why would the people in charge of homelessness fix the problem and put themselves out of work? Millions of dollars go to paying these people. They have no interest in solving the problem, their only interested in Government funding for the problem
