Todd, this is one of the best videos you have done. I appreciate your attitude about keeping an open mind about change so much. My friend and I went to Disneyland a while back before Star Wars Land. He was so upset that part of Rivers of America would be made smaller, and he “hated” Star Wars. I tried to reassure him, but he would not be comforted - and being honest, he did bring down the mood a bit. I think Yoda heard him because his mobility scooter broke down on the way out of the park. Actually, his steering column broke, and he drove into the fountain at the Haunted Mansion 😂 - destroying quite a bit of landscaping. That being said, when Star Wars land went in, he LOVED it. And Splash Mountain, beloved as it was, was looking a bit tattered and frayed like a couch with the stuffing coming out. So you are right and I am excited to see the next iteration of Splash Mountain.
Mary thank you so much for that encouragement. There were so many blasting the ride before even riding it. Ok that’s a funny story about your friend and Star Wars. All I ever ask is for people to judge it themselves before judging it. We are so thankful to have travelers like you as part of our traveling family. We are working on a Disneyland trip this year…

Hey Todd, loved the video and the reminder of keeping a positive outlook! Disney tends to work on issues until they get it right. Critiques from cast members are important as they tend to know the pulse of Disney go-ers. Opening day at Disneyland was not at all perfect but yet it evolve and continues to attract millions annually. As an AP for over 2 decades, I’m used to the hiccups of new lands/rides. I may not like it but if the younger ones do, that’s great since they will be the ones who will continue to keep Walt’s dream alive.
This is exactly the comment I was trying to make. Thank you so much for understanding that change is good and we might not like every change. The park evolves to fit the needs of the new guest. Thank you for sharing your time and traveling along with us.

I definitely know there are going to be things that are better with Tianas bayou adventure and there are going to be things that are better with Splash Mountain. The point is it's only a ride, you know . Don,t let it ruin your entire vacation. Because if you do, you're just hurting yourself .
Bravo and well said. Of course we are going to miss things about splash. I am sure Tiana’s is going to be lacking some areas as well. It is a ride at the end of the day geared towards the kids of today going into the future. Thanks so much for traveling along and being part of our traveling family.
I loved sitting up in the balcony in the Horse Shoe. It was a nice relaxing spot to get out of the sun and get off your feet.

Things change some for the good, some not but we all adjust in the end. Absolutely agree with the no change rides Todd. I’m a big fan of The Carousel of Progress and The People Mover as they are absolute classics and a great place to have a cool down & rest my feet. ☺️

I would definitely give it a chance. But the mechanical problems with the ride itself has to be fixed. Right know it looks like a mystery.

I’m all for change too because as you said, no change then people will stop coming. Buuuutttttt I’m still salty they took away Minnie and Mickey houses (wasn’t it called toontown or something like that?) I wish they could have kept those somehow.
Ya there have been so may changes I have seen in going over 50yrs. At least Disneyland still have the Mickey and Minnie houses in there toontown. We still love going but do miss so things of days gone by. Hope you guys are having a fantastic week
I love your positivity Todd. I agree don't touch TTA And Carousel of Progress or we will revolt ! I feel the same about Pirates, Jungle Cruise and Haunted. I've been going to WDW since 1983 and can deal w/change of some ridesbut, don't change my top 5 rides ! You are a 5 star cast member ! Thanks.

I miss several of the old rides and am disappointed to lose them. Daughter seemed to enjoy Tiana's Bayou and I was super disappointed with losing Splash.
I agree we hate loosing the old attractions. Changes are made for your daughter and the future guest. Thanks so much for sharing your time and being part of our traveling family
You’re right, Todd. It’s not reasonable to expect a newly reimagined attraction to have zero technical issues. Obviously the people at Disney are working hard on Tiana’s and want visitors happy. Rides break down all the time…. like you are saying, this is partly why Disney does cast previews. In a way, Disney needs these road bumps to happen. I had a genuine Magical Moment on Splash Mountain in Aug of ‘22, and still can’t wait for Tiana’s Bayou Adventure.

It's crazy, but our most recent trip to Disney was my first time ever riding the people mover.

Disney knew how much attention would be on this attraction. To not check the functionality of this before opening is just bad show. If it's not ready, they should wait, instead of presenting ths embarrasment of a preview.
That’s why we are doing cast previews. To get it right for when the ride officially opens. In all honesty I expected delays and breakdowns. We can’t wait to ride the 26th when hopefully the kinks are all worked out. Thanks for traveling along with us on this adventure.
2 years for one ride in which didn’t need anything but maintenance to a complete disaster. Disney is keeping it down for a reason.

I understand be8ng positive, but splash mountain didn't need to be sacrificed for Tiana. She deserved her own ride. And As far as Mr Toads...Pooh is just boring, that was not an improvement. But thanks for being who you are Todd!😊
Lance I totally agree she needed her own ride. Splash was great but the kids and the future guest could not relate to the characters. Same with country bears. Pooh is definitely made for that youngster demographic. Thanks so much for traveling along and we hope you had a fantastic weekend
Well imagination changed for the worse that wasn’t a good change never will be. If a replacement isn’t as good as previous attraction as in imagination that’s just a fact. Tianna has no suspense, no buildup no good storyline that’s just a fact.
Well maybe like Test Track it will also get Re imagined one day. We will see on the 26th when i finally get a chance to ride it. When you rode it the music didn’t help drive the story line for you? Loved splash mountain. But Disney needs to freshen things up to keep up with universal. We love carrousel of progress and people mover. Along with haunted mansion they are perfect as they are. I think Disney should, and will freshen all the rest of the rides up in the coming years.

Thank you, Todd for being the voice of sanity and positivity. I have watched several other vloggers when they road the ride, and with the exception of one person, they were bemoaning about the breakdowns, comparing it to Splash Mountain, etc. With any new or refurbished ride, you need to work out the kinks over a period of time before opening it up to the public. We watch you all the time but this ride is a joke and it is a joke that a company like Disney is not able to put a ride together that doesn't break down in previews. Let's just say you're right and it is suppose to break down this much in previews ... how disrespectful is it to your employees that you are using them as guinea pigs to stand on lines 5, 6, 7 hours long to ride the ride just to be evacuated off of it ... once again ... this is Disney, six flags wouldn't even of done this to their employees. Why would they want this negative publicity .... the people who are running Disney have ruined it all. It's sad to see.
So sorry you fill that way about Disney. As a cast member we were told that there may be difficulties and down times are expected. I would rather they get it right now so on the 28th it is good to go for guest. This also gives Disneyland an advantage. Since they basically have the same ride platform. Now once I ride the 26th that may be a different story. There are to many people that rode this ride going in to it with an agenda. @@TravelingAroundDisney unfortunately Disney made us this way. After the recent DAS change we have canceled everything. D23, Disney Chase Card, sold our DVC. If Disney doesn't accept my wife's disability anymore, we don't accept them as a family vacation. And by the way ... "agenda" .... Disney created the "agenda" ... Unfortunately. We are obviously here to watch Disney content because we love Disney ... but we hate what it has become. I just hope the vloggers start seeing this as well, that people are leaving in droves. You have another job but vloggers who do this as there main source of income should start speaking out as well. Soon, there be no one to vlog to ...
I totally understand your point and respect your decision. I will say the whole DAS system is one thing I just don’t understand how they decide. We will continue to try to make content that’s enjoyable if it’s Disney or other travels. We do appreciate you for traveling along with us on our travels.
Honesty is most important, the ride is a disaster anyway you look at it. Very sad decision to destroy their top attraction.
It really is a beautiful ride and honestly can’t wait to ride it. I just wish people would give it a chance and ride it and not go off of what others say. I watched a POV of Tiana’s Boyou Adventure. It seems like a lot of empty space in between scenes. And the story line needs a villain. It’s very boring in my opinion.
Ya I could see how many think that with POV’S. I have only watched two and they were both shot different ways. Once we ride the 26th we will be able to judge it better. We shall see. Oh but it’s such a classic and truly a Walt driven attraction. I will show clips of rides but never a POV of an attraction. Did that before and felt it took away some of the surprise for people getting ready to visit. Thanks for traveling along and being part of our traveling family.

Are you really serious calling this a beautiful ride, Splash Mountain was beautiful and represented all that was good with Walt and his legacy, this ride from inside and out is nothing but a steaming pile of 💩, perfectly representative of the Bob Iger Company!! Also funny how your talking in front of the ride at the end of your video, saying how great this is and give it a chance, YET…., there is absolutely no water flowing as the guests are taking the plunge, this ride is an absolute dumpster fire and I and many others will NEVER give this a chance, because this ride was not made out of love and respect, this was a rush job to destroy Splash Mountain through WOKE ideological mindsets of hate, disdain and execrating loathing for Walt and all the guests!!!
I don’t understand show this was Walt’s legacy. What did you not like when you ride Tiana’s? Disney is a wonderful place full of memories and things are ever changing, but in the end it is still called The Walt Disney Company and sadly companies are here to make money.
