I do think they could’ve incorporated Dr Facilier in one way or another. Like he could’ve created an obstacle to make the story line a little more interesting

I loved Splash Mountain. Prob my favorite ride. This new ride looks amazing. I get to go on it with my cast member friend tmrw and I can't wait. It looks amazing. The only thing that I'd say they struck out on was the finale. It feels lacking because there isn't enough kinetics and the song just isn't uplifting enough. The finale seems short and lacking kinetics and excitement. Other than that the new facade, the plot, the animatronics, its al really immersive and well done
Imma go in tbh This is so mid, honestly- not because of nostalgia but bruh they had 4 years to do something with this and this is the best they could do? As a native Floridian raised in the old Florida swamps and Cracker prairies/pastures of the South, Splash was a landmark divorced from the movie it was associated with and they basically squandered an opportunity to out do it. The ride was washed of its controversy and sanitized, rightfully so. However, new and shiny doesn’t mean better. A. It’s boring, lifeless, and the plotline(s) are thin and nonexistent, there’s literally no antagonist and utterly forgettable. B. Nothing about this ride is worth much at all. Not just that, but the ride system is the same so on top of the gaping mediocrity, it’ll just break down to add to the frustration. C. Legitimately, there is not a single point to this ride as it’s very static and superficial with no real development or progression. I had an open mind to it but Disney is truly digging its grave, waiting for Universal to kick them in. They just dressed the corpse of Splash in Mardi Gras clothing and expect the consumer to just eat it mindlessly, buy it regardless and not question it because it says Disney™️. They’re living off the brand name and nothing else. D. They basically patched Splash with a big bandaid and/or put lipstick, wallpaper or whatever you want to call it. There’s better IP and original stories to retheme this ride with. The movie was mid too but if they really wanted to give Tiana a ride, start it from scratch. Solely based off this POV, they ruined it, in a sane world- this wouldn’t last 2-4 years but Disney won’t admit it. 3/10. All theatrics, no substance derived from corporate hubris. Respectfully, this is very visibly and simply the Mouse eared spin machine working full blast.
TBA hasn't broken once yet, and they're testing the fire alarm and evacuating the ride. It's all testing, no problems have been happening except for people who have to run their mouths about what they don't know about. Don't get me wrong I think Imagineering killed two perfectly good rides with this reskin. Still that's not a reason to talk trash, especially if you don't know what you're talking about.

Disney has done the impossible: They have destroyed one of the greatest rides of all time. Splash Mountain had animatronics everywhere and great songs and a fun build up to the drop. This abomination looks empty and flat out boring.

Has anyone ever watched videos of when New Coke premiered? Coke got people on camera proclaiming how good it was and that it was better than the original. As we know, sales didn't reflect those same thoughts. There can be pressure to like something because it's new and fresh. I believe time will tell the actual narrative of this ride and how it will be perceived. My high-level thoughts are the animatronics are excellent. Still, they chose quality over quantity in the animatronics, which caused a lot of dead space and a lackluster storyline. When replacing a beloved product with another, you must nail it on all fronts.

I will always say splash is better cause i like the intense feeling right before the final drop but i think this is a good redo, the animatronics are super impressive and the finale is amazing!

0 stars. No coherent story, lots of dead space, screens everywhere. The non A1000 animatronics none of their eyes move. The first Louie his mouth was already not working. Such a complete downgrade. No tension building up to the drop. Splash died for this complete waste of space. Unbelievable.

I think this ride is supposed to take place after Dr Facilier got dragged into the spirit world. Also, I feel like that would have changed the vibe quite a bit. I loved the vibe of this ride so I'm fine without having some high stakes or villain.

Not to get to off topic, but a "plus one" on Blaze Pizza, I'm out in Vegas and a friend turned me on to it years ago, and outside of one trip early in the Pandemic, food and service is always great. I'm always amazed they haven't raised their prices to ridiculous amounts like most other popular food places, so enjoy it while you can.
Loved you video of Tiana's Bayou Adventure. It really made me wish I could be there in person. Not sure why but your video was clearer and more in focus than other videos I've seen. It made watching it a million times more enjoyable. Every day is a blessed day with Jo Jo!
So watching at the end right before going down the Mountain I noticed all the what looked like depictions of *Spirit Bottles* they had hanging there on the ceiling. Spirit bottles are what are thought to be used to trap people's spirits and power. Then I went back and watched it again and noticed there were big spirit bottles all throughout the ride where the critters used to be. The whole ride at night glows like a giant spirit bottle. So pretty much you get to ride through a hallway of tormented souls before going down the mountain. I like Splash better.
Glad you got to ride for CM previews-thanks for sharing the ride through vlog! I thought it looked pretty cool and can’t wait to ride someday-yeah we’ll all miss splash but can’t wait for new memories with Tiana! ❤ And hope your camera survives! 💦

GREAT REVIEW! Love the pre-vid of getting in line a 10am and heading back in. I agree the PRIDE MERCH looks really good this year as does the rainbow cake in Disney Springs; it really is a cool shirt and I would even buy it. The God is Dope shirt is def dope and he was lucky to be sitting behind you and not get as wet as you did. Here's hoping your $4000 camera is still working. Honestly, all 3 of you really made this one of your best review vids!! Based on your video, I am gonna give it 4 out of 5 as I didn't really see the movie's story line and there was plenty of time to add that in. What they did include looks great but.... even you had to think about why you see a big Tiani and then realized you shrunk....didn't seem apparent. As a big fan of Splash Mountain for many, many years I was expected more of a transformation but I will give a big thumbs up for the new animatronics and hope they keep working day-2-day as they use very advanced circuitry inside...time will tell. I'm confused. It's "Tiana's Foods" as in it's "hers"...but then says: "employee-owned"? Who's company is it supposed to be? So, we are looking for a missing "spice" on the historic Avery Island salt mine? No,..no,..we are actually looking for a "musician" for the band instead in that salt mine? We then get shrunk down by voodoo that we can't talk about...to help us find this animal musician? No, wait!... the last song said we found the SPICE we were looking for in the salt mine....and YOU were the missing ingredient all along? What happened to that musician we were looking for? This thing seems soooo half-baked and NOT very well thought out!
Your video makes it look better than others I’ve seen. There are a lot of people complaining about such tiny stuff while also being hypocritical and definitely a lot of revisionism going on about splash mountain and their animatronics and use of screens.
Much respect to all the Disney vloggers but I feel like we'd get along the most. Love your group's vibe! My only main issue with this retheme is the empty space in between scenes. However, I'm POSITIVE the CA version will flow a lot better considering how much shorter and faster it is.

GREAT REVIEW! Love the pre-vid of getting in line a 10am and heading back in. I agree the PRIDE MERCH looks really good this year as does the rainbow cake in Disney Springs; it really is a cool shirt and I would even buy it. The God is Dope shirt is def dope and he was lucky to be sitting behind you and not get as wet as you did. Here's hoping your $4000 camera is still working. Honestly, all 3 of you really made this one of your best review vids!! Based on your video, I am gonna give it 4 out of 5 as I didn't really see the movie's story line and there was plenty of time to add that in. What they did include looks great but.... even you had to think about why you see a big Tiani and then realized you shrunk....didn't seem apparent. As a big fan of Splash Mountain for many, many years I was expected more of a transformation but I will give a big thumbs up for the new animatronics and hope they keep working day-2-day as they use very advanced circuitry inside...time will tell. Again, enjoy this video from start to finish and now I want some of that pizza!!!

I gotta agree. Paddlefish is a staple for our family. Every time we visit Disney World, the one restaurant we always go to again is Paddlefish.
I'm confused. It's "Tiana's Foods" as in it's "hers"...but then says: "employee-owned"? Who's company is it supposed to be? So, we are looking for a missing "spice" on the historic Avery Island salt mine? No,..no,..we are actually looking for a "musician" for the band instead in that salt mine? We then get shrunk down by voodoo that we can't talk about...to help us find this animal musician? No, wait!... the last song said we found the SPICE we were looking for in the salt mine....and YOU were the missing ingredient all along? What happened to that musician we were looking for? This thing seems soooo half-baked and NOT very well thought out!
Just the fact you couldn’t find merch promoting the ride is how much confidence they had with it😂

Your video makes it look better than others I’ve seen. There are a lot of people complaining about such tiny stuff while also being hypocritical and definitely a lot of revisionism going on about splash mountain and their animatronics and use of screens.
I think they might put merch in the shop when the ride ends and splash is better see u this summer inshallah!

My only main issue with this retheme is the empty space in between scenes. However, I'm POSITIVE the CA version will flow a lot better considering how much shorter and faster it is.
