We watched all the videos on this Virgin cruise and were surprised how it did not look so jammed packed as the Disney cruises. The food look very good. We knew it was a good one by the second video because had a smile on her face the whole time. 🤩
We had a wonderful time and definitely prefer the smaller ships. The food was fantastic and very different then a Disney Cruise. Thanks for traveling along and hope you have a fantastic week.

I have never been on a cruise. Have a bit of anxiety about being on a ship and not being able to leave it if I wanted. I have considered Viking Cruises where you can see land at all times. This is the video I've been waiting for! I have a short cruise from Vancouver to Seattle booked on Holland America for May of next year. This will be my 2nd ever cruise. This will also be the first country on my World Showcase bucket list. So excited to compare Holland America to my DCL cruise!

Your style of video is a little different to a lot of the other CZcams cruise videos in a good way 👍 We are booked on our first cruise next March with Virgin from San Juan for 10 nights around the Caribbean with a 3 night stay in San Juan before the cruise. Hi guys! Fellow Floridians here. Although we are not of the "let's eat as much as we can" mentality, the food did look extra yummy and a higher quality than most cruise lines that we've sailed on so I'm sure the temptation was great. My favorite part was when Todd got all excited for his ice cream cones. That was adorable! Wish you could have touched on some excursions that were offered and maybe hit up a show or two so we could get a more rounded experience other than just food. Thanks again!
The food was just so good it was hard to pass up. The food is the best food on a cruise we have ever had. We have only had two meals tat compared and they were on a Disney cruise and were paid experiences. Ya we wanted to show the different side of Virgin that not many people cover. We didn’t even think about excursions because we had never been to the keys and wanted to see what there private beach club was like. Maybe next time. Yeah, for foodies, it seems you all were in heaven, so I'm glad you had a great time. But as the person above said, did you all go to any shows? And what happened at Bimini that made you all get right back on the tram without even trying the food? Thanks for sharing your thoughts on the food. The ship tours were great too, Todd. For us it was a different cruise even the food was not up to speed on our cruise except in the Galley.. We have cruised over 90 times and VV ranks as maybe second from the bottom. Hi @iluvcruising! We did not go to any shows, actually on purpose. I am of the opinion to each his own when cruising. I personally don’t go on cruises for the shows. I like just relaxing to my own schedule. Bimini really didn’t have much to offer. We really didn’t stay because it seemed more crowded than the ship. The ships pool area is great when everyone else is off the ship. We appreciate the comments and feel free to ask us anytime about anything you’re interested in. I’m interested to know how you would rank your cruise lines? Thanks so much! -Michelle
Hi @dianefehring5626. Thank you for your comment. I had to think a bit on how we should respond. The ship isn’t totally a/c as our videos tried to show. We sat by the pool deck and walked around "outside" on the decks. We left the ship on the day at Key West and just about passed out from the heat. We did learn they had issued a heat wave advisory on that particular day and everybody felt the heat. We love your comments and thank you for traveling around with us, but please remember we are showing you our journey. It probably will be different from your expectations from your vacations. We hope our Traveler Family knows us well enough to know we try to give a positive outlook if possible. Well now you have my hubby Jeff looking up Virgin cruises lol. We have been busy getting back into cruises after almost 20 years. We did 2 last year and just finished our 3rd cruise this year. We hope Utopia is going to be good in November. But Virgin is a definite interest now. Love watching you guys…and hope to run into you again at the parks.
It has quickly become our favorite form of vacation. It’s just so easy to board and leave the stressors behind. Enjoy Utopia and we can’t wait to hear all about it.

Glad you enjoyed it. We depart on the same itinerary this week. This will be our second time on the Valiant Lady. My 4th Virgin Voyages cruise. I think your analysis of the value of the Splash of Romance package is spot on. But it's limited, so it pays to book your trip far in advance so you can still get that add-on.
What do you think of taking a 7+ night cruise on VV in the future? We've been on two Transatlantic cruises and really loved them.
For quiet space to work that isn't your room, consider The Den (head toward the Red Room, but turn left before you get there). I also found that "The Dock" had some taller tables that were relatively quiet in the morning. But they are outside, so if you're not dealing well with the heat, that probably wouldn't work.
Hi John! I'm so jealous! I wish we were going with you! I'm glad to see you have taken other Virgin cruises. It will be difficult to book other cruise lines, honestly, we enjoyed this one so much! We didn't even take advantage of all the Splash of Romance offered! We didn't even try the spa as we were so taken in by everything! The food was absolutely amazing. We each have our likes and dislikes but I can say even the food I wouldn't usually try was a notch above.

WE love cruising and Disney we usually go to both every year we have only cruised with carnival cruise line we are reached platinum from cruises with them a lot . So we doing Disney in January and another cruise in march :-) your cruise ship looked fun.
I will say Carnival and Royal probably have some of the best loyalty programs out there. It’s hard trying different cruise lines when you have reached a level with them. We love cruising disney and definitely want to try more and more cruise lines. This Virgin cruise was fantastic and highly recommend one. I’m on the fence about cruising, I would rather do adult cruising, but have the ambience of DCL. Does that make sense? As much as I love Disney, I think I would prefer an adult cruise.
I’m used to travelling in the summer months, since that was the only time of year we could go to Disney World, but now, would prefer the other times of year to travel.
I like the idea the of you could do your own thing,if you want to party, you can, and you can get away from the crowds and extremely loud people. I like the fact that what you pay for is it!
I was impressed with the food quality and I hate to say it, but it looked better than the Disney restaurants.

Is it $2100 person?
I’m booked at Disney beach club club level standard room in early December for $1100 per night which includes snacks and small desserts. Park tickets extra.
This cruise seems well worth the value.
Nope that was total cost for both of us for everything. It’s all included except for libations. The $2100 even included the 250.00 romance package. So if you didn’t get it it was $1850.00 all in for both of us. It was well worth the money and we can’t wait to book another. Have a fantastic time in December. Hope our travels cross and thanks for traveling along with us.

This sounds much different than I had imagined. I think I had a preconceived notion that it was a "party boat" and on the wild side. I'm way past that stage of life. You guys seemed to honestly enjoy it! I wanted to do a Disney cruise, but you changed my mind when you talked about no koddos on this one! Marylou it was a fantastic time. We believe you can make it what you want. If you want to party our just relax it’s totally up to you. That price of $2100 was for the cruise and romance package for both of us. Total price the only other thing would have been Libations.
