@bihbhkjbnlk ummmm you got it wrong lol youre probs american. As an Australian, our accent and South Africa's doesnt sound like each other at allllll......... its not on the level same as Canadian and American accents are which you guys cant even distinguish between one another
The faces Anne made when signing were hilarious. Her character was so pissed. They didn't include the subtitles here but she signed "Eat shit and die."
I know lol, this is actually surprisingly good (ay fellow South Africans) I know somewhere she said she speaks Afrikaans but I didn't know she could do the accent lol
To be fair as an aussie be often get mistaken for south african accent and its audibly quite similar to ours so much so that in movies unless you hear an actor speak a lot like rebel did especially if its an action loud movie you can have trouble differentiating even as an aussie or south african. I worked with a kiwi and irish girl and a south african and the boss was an older country aussie whereas i did my schooling in the city even though i was from the same area so even though i was also aussie we didnt have the same accent combine that with generational slang and way of talking in general noone in the office sounded the same 😂😂😂 and wed often pick up slang or hints of accent on some words from others so it was like the friggen UN in there haha.
I’m an American and I was so embarrassed when I was talking to this nurse that was caring for my grandma in the ER and I asked her if she was an Aussie. She said she was from South Africa. I apologized and felt terrible!
She got it during a missionary trip to Mozambique, it was treated in South Africa. The only place in South Africa where you might (small might) get malaria is near the Mozambican border. That's a very small part of the country.
As a South African. I can say that she legit nailed it LMAO
What's the name of the movie?
@@michaelesombi6119 The hustle
She is from south africa if i’m not mistaken
It's easy if you're Australian, it's similar. Even easier if you're a kiwi.
@@catrinad2491 🙄
I'm impressed, she got the accent pretty well. It is not an easy accent to copy successfully.
I think its because she lived there for a while

SHE SOUNDS NOTHING LIKE A SOUTH AFRICAN
if you're Australian it's pretty easy because they're a little similar.

@Sam Ángel ASL American sign language I know asl it's so fun
I recognized the “shit” sign but I didn’t know anything else.
@@Monkeysinger24 I got the eat and die signs, but not the shit. 😂
Yeah I was disappointed about that.
Before she was famous she lived here in South Africa for a bit that's why her South African accent is spot on.
She said in an interview she always came on vacation here but didnt mention she lived here
That makes a whole lot of sense.
@@dezray9313 she lived here for two years and got malaria look it up
She even knows how to speak Afrikaans
She did not 🤦🏻♀️
All in all, that was a decent South African accent from Rebel Wilson 😎🙌🏽
Go, Springboks! 😂👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽

I love the shit out of this comment⚠️😭😂
You mean Afrikaans accent,, us blks South Africans don't sound like that
A lot of people get this wrong but i reckon she did it quite well actually.
" Howzit Cathy " that is such an accurate impression of a south African afrikaans mom 😂👌🏻
She got that, "shame" in also
@@tadpole7581 a regte boer lol
No it isnt. An afrikaans mom would say 'hoesit' instead of 'howzit'
Woooow I'm impressed it's hard to do an afrikaans accent
It’s not Afrikaans accent it’s South African accent, you had to make it about Broer people 😂
Afrikaans people that talk English sound like that...
I think it's easy for anyone in New Zealand or Australia
Rudzani Munyai is it not the Afrikaans people that speak English in this accent? Have you seen a Zulu speak English in that accent? Nonsense.
@@rudzanimunyai2090 that's an *Afrikaans* accent bruh
she even added the "shaaame" 😂😂😂😂😂 Us South Africans always say that.

When she said "shame" 😂😂 that's the most South African thing I can think of

I used to think that other countries use shame in the way we do
As a fellow South African I can say she did it very well
Almost like a mother from Sandton's accent😂😂
The way she said icecream sounded like “arse cream” 😂😂😂😂
I’m South African and all I can she absolutely nailed the accent
Am I the only one who heard “arse cream” “we all love arse cream!” 😂😂😂😂
Didn't Rebel decide to become an actor after contracting malaria during a missionary trip to South Africa
Jason Boado : Yes, she was over there for a while, so that’s likely how she picked up the accent so well.
Malaria? Where in South Africa did she contract it? Because the chances of someone contracting malaria even in summer is pretty low...

Rebel sounds slightly New Zealander here. But it also sounds like South African accent. The Australian, South African and Kiwi accent are all bad ass!
Considering that the south african accent is so difficult to replicate she did really really well
The South African nation has so much accents, lol. But yes, this is one of them😂
