  • Using a keyboard wrist wrest for your ankles when sim-racing is my greatest contribution to all of humanity and I'm proud , rotating the brake pedal is also truly innovative thinking but not quite worthy of a Nobel Peace Prize... at least I tried.

    Instead of soft and warm materials on my pedals, I use nails and cold materials. Because SiMRacing is about the suffering and despair.

    A lower cost option: "self adhesive foam strips", with thickness of 3mm or more. Super easy to apply on any hard pedal tray, not too thick and has a good cushioning effect.

So from your idea I went to the local WM and got a stadium seat cover it is 1" sponge for 4 bucks and It was the right width and just cut it and velcroed it to the V3 base. Longer stints are a breeze now! Thanks for the post!

Did want to create something like a foot rest out of wood for my clutch kick foot as my knees are getting kinda old. This will help add that AMG comfort to my overpriced rig. 10/10 recomend.

    I kind of have to ask what is the reason of having super realistic pedals only to use socks on them thereby greatly decreasing the realism that they provide?

    • @GamerMuscleVideos
      @GamerMuscleVideos  Před rokem +2

      Personally I'm happy with just about any load cell pedals but there is nothing wrong with using socks with any pedals as its easer to be more precise and often more comfortable but yah a person could just buy cheaper pedals no real point in stuff with more heavy load cell.
      With high end pedals a person is paying more for adjustment options , durablity and the company that makes them reputation for support , the ablity to use them how you want as well. having that avalable means can race in socks for daily racing but if you wanted to set them up for a specifc car you can also do that.
      No sim pedals really end up feeling like real car pedals because you use G-Load and other aspects of forces on the body rather than the pedals to brake properly.

    • @ronan0maly
      @ronan0maly Před rokem

      @@GamerMuscleVideos Word, ok. I used to use socks when I had the old CSR pedals (with the Forza CSR wheel!). Ever since I upgraded to the V3 set (and a CSL DD!), it's just felt a lot more immersive to wear shoes. I use the brake performance kit with the 13 Green & 13 Red for a "Medium" firmness, and, along with the hydraulic damper set to a hair over 4, it provides the right mix of firm and squish. I do like to be able to mash the shit out of it, though (BRF obvs on max), but then again, you'd probably get tired of my setup since you stream so often and I haven't completely ruined my life with sim racing like you -- although you are an inspiration, and I think that's to us all. Anyway, I find the hydraulic release really helps with trail braking, too.

    It didn't transform my life sadly GM. I have the inverted/hybrid pedal plate in my TR160, and can't really race in socks with the VRS Pro pedals (unless I want to wear the socks out). They probably have the most adjustable pedal faces on the market, but that doesn't include the ability to turn them sideways. Besides which, I don't have a clutch, so they are spaced for each leg to be straight on them anyway.

      @@GamerMuscleVideos thank you friend, the BIG problema about simracing nowadays that everything is to buy something like 1000 dollars is the best, but nobody in youtube talks about diy is an alternative.
      I am from Argentina and here 5 dollars is worth a lot. Thanks to all those who support the diy community, on this side of the globe those prices are high.
      Nobody talks about how to put together, for example, a steering wheel for a simulator, something made in 3d or even metal. I don't know what reality they must live in first world countries but here a fanatec of 300 dollars is equivalent to 1 month of food.

  • @stevebulmann8366

    Wear shoes. Every sim racer drives in socks and wears gloves. You need to wear shoes and drive with no gloves. The pedal has no FFB so you don't need to feel them. The wheel you need to feel it and you are taking away that feeling with gloves.
    GamerMuscle has the worst sim ring pedal setup of all time. He has spent way too much time on a desk sim is the only reason I see to have your sim set up this way. If you have a profile rig and don't know how to set it up please look up how to mount a race car seat and set it up that way. Or look up sim rig review to see how other people have set up their rigs.
