Flamu the reason why Alaska is T9, is because of CA2-D.
Basically the “Montana” for the Alaska with 4x3 305mm Mk8 guns.

this will be the T10 “battlecruiser” for the usn.
The real balance for Viribus Unitus is not possible to simulate in the game: She was so top heavy that she was prone to capsizing and sinking if she swung all her guns to one side and fired.. not even remotely joking.

Yahagi 21k Torpedoes?
*THAT'S A LOTTA DAMAGE*
The downside it's you'll also take a lot of damage if anybody sees you launching them, since the firing angles are almost as awful as Yubari's and the citadel rises well above the waterline. The plus side is that combined with Yahagi's good concealment, you can stealth-torp in a Tier 5 CL. Against slow BBs that tend to sail in straight lines.

u dont need to even be spotted to launch the torps...and if enemy BB is reloading, showing broadside is not a problem at all.
most enemies wont expect those, especially at that strange torp angle and at that range, definitly not 8 fast 21k dmg torps

I expected the Agano to be tier 7 rather than tier 5, I expected Sendai or Nagara in that tier.
RP S Sendai should be Tier 5 Agano should be 6 like an IJN huang he and Kai Agano tier 7 Then original Tone with 155s or fictional ship with less 155s than Mogami which Mikuma could be tier 8 and then paper ships for tier 9 and 10 They could go with like an IJN Cleveland class made by tzoli

@@rps215 Tier 7? That is way too high for 3x 152mm guns. Tier 6 is perfect for both Agano and Yahagi.
Viribus Unitis is a very interesting ship. Built for the Austro-Hungarian Navy it was, like the rest of their Dreadnaughts, stationed in modern Italy and Kroatia, when Pola and Trieste were part of the Kaiserreich. Similar to the German fleet it mostly sat in the harbour, avoiding any risk and maintaining a treat to the Italian fleet and coast. In 1918 it should be given to an upcoming Yougoslavian fleet, but as Italy wasn´t very happy about that idea, they send a small team of commando frogmen into the harbour of Pola.
To everyone´s surprise these guys, who were basically on a suicide mission, were actually sucessfull: operating a kind of torpedo-mine they sank the ship on it´s moorings together with 400 sailors. In Pola there is a memorial plaque at the site of the scuttling.
I don't get why WG introduce it as a german BB when it was clearly not.

One thing that I don't think that Flamu mentions for the Veritas Unitis is that its turrets are arranged in a very efficient ABXY layout, without any wing or waist turrets. The VU should be able to get all its turrets on target a lot easier than many other tier 4 BBs.
Vibirius is a Austria Hungary BB from WW1. It had the first 3 Gun turrets in the world. In real life the guns had the most accuracy of her time.

I'm not really familiar with Polish navy, but this might be because WG thought they can make it go somewhere and build whole polish DD tree... Or just to please the imperial shitton of Poles playing WoT and hook them up to another WG game :D

Those stage and campaign rewards are only for the test server. To make things go faster. It says so somewhere in the notes.

The Viribus Unitis is actually 1 out of 4 ships build by Austria-Hungary in WWI.
The others were the 'Prinz Eugen', 'Teggetoff'* and the Szent Istvan (famous for beeing sunk by a small patrol boat with two Torpedos)
They pretty much saw now action during the war, caused by beeing trapped in the Otranto see-barrier

The tier 9 Soviet DD seems like an upgraded Ognevoi, i.e. a Soviet torpedo boat, more than a hardcore gunboat.
To me more like down tiered grozovoi, guns are the same gun
She is. She was a one off special that was in service with the USSR till the mid 70's. The cold war Kotlin class where cheaper versions of her that got upgraded with various missiles in the mid 60's.

To knock a Snowflake off a ship, you need to win a battle of any type, except for Clan and Training Battles. The reward for knocking them off is resources for use in the Arsenal: Coal and Steel. During the Public Test, a victorious battle with Tier VI-VII ships brings you Coal while ships of Tier VIII-X will receive Steel.
We understand that Steel is a valuable resource that is "mined" in Clan and Ranked Battles in order to get rare ships. But since adding it to the game, we have received many requests to make it more accessible, as not all players have the opportunity to play in the competitive modes efficiently enough or on a regular basis. The events we mentioned above are designed to fire up the New Year celebrations and give you a chance to obtain valuable rewards-and Steel! However, it doesn't mean we are planning to offer such specials on a regular basis.
Coming in patch 0.7.12 as well.

@@n00btotale The Agano class were pretty much literally bigger versions of Yubari, though. And like Yubari, Yahagi has good for her tier torps but with atrocious firing angles. Nor is there much that Wargaming can do to improve those angles, unless they just let the torps clip through the superstructure.
@@RedXlV I just don't want to see her end up like Yubari is: just so mediocre. I'd rather they make the playstyle like a big Kuma than a big Yubari. Especially since Yahagi filled the same role Kuma did, intended to be a destroyer squadron flagship.
@@RedXlV In real life it did have a rapid reload apparently (reloads given easy access) so it would be appropriate.

Don't forget the AA on the AZUMA you are talking about is going to be changed if they enter the CV rework into the game. Then the all ships AA is going to be a hell of a lot different.
Any news on how we will be able to obtain the neustrashimy? Coal? Free exp? Doubloons? If it’s either of the last two then I can alredy see it in my port

0:10 Yahagi was part of the Operating Ten-go mission with the Yamato. Like the Yamato she died hard.
When i was on the public test server, I was verry lucky with the Secret Santa containers and got a ship!

After all my time watching your videos, I had never seen your face until now. It is nice to attach a voice to a face. (I never watched your streams)
As has been noted in the EU forum discussion, Azuma looks more like a tier IX as it appears to be competing more with the Alaska and Kronstadt than compared to the tier X large cruiser Stalingrad.
Of note should also be the B-65 design(s) came with torpedoes (one quadruple launcher per side, similarily located as what you see on the Kii ingame, Type 93 "Longlance", i.e.: the 12km torps available for IJN DDs). I could see the Azuma be situated at tier X if it gets the torps and perhaps a sigma buff to make her shine as a nasty flanking surprise (and in that role she might even make an appearance in Clan Battles as a Stalingrad counter).
Otherwise the discussion consensus on the EU forum appears to be that she'd be better situated at tier IX if she keeps her current stats (and lack of torpedoes, though she could still use those as compensation for not having access to radar as her other contemporary large cruisers).

Wikipedia says the Yahagi class cruiser had rapid reloading torpedos, with eight ready to load after the first ones launch. Maybe the gimic will be reload boost? 😎
Neustrashimy never made it out of the prototype stage. It's design was sold to Chinese and they're still using them till this day. The missiles would go where the torpedo tubes are, on a turnable mount. 6 missiles in total, 3 missiles per launcher.

Yahagi was the light cruiser escorting the Yamato on her last trip.
yahagi big dd with citadel and bad torp angles, but torps basically kill all dds and cruisers in its range with 1 torp. i suspect it to be a high maintance cruiser, but in the right hands very competetive in random battles
a couple things here: the Leone class were sort of meant to be quasi-cruisers for protecting Italian Abyssinia: hence the heavy gunpower and their large size. Also, It's Worth mentioning that Neustrashimy ("Dauntless") was a one off ship: the Sovs weren't happy with her design so they sold her plans to the Chinese. they replaced the torpedoes with missile tubes and created the long-serving Luda class.
Not quite, the Leone-class were esploratori leggeri, 'light scouts'. They were meant to act as fast, powerful scouts for the fleet. High speed and heavy firepower was their focus, they were meant to be laid down in 1918 but because of steel shortages they were not laid down until 1921.
Due to various technological advancements they aged very poorly, and due to competition with the French they rapidly became obsolete. When the esploratori category was abolished in 1938 all light units were classed as destroyers while larger units were classed as light cruisers. Due to their age, both literal and in design (being a WWI design), they and most of the other esploratori leggeri save for the Navigatori-class were considered second-line units, and thus the there Leone-class destroyers were placed in the Red Sea Squadron.
Their age is what relegated them to the Red Sea, not their design intent.

What's the difference with the 2 premium account?
Normal one is for all WG games (+50 % xp and credits), Special one is only for World of Warships (+65% xp and credits).

I always thought that Ooyodo would be a better T5 Japanese premium but I guess this kinda works too. I thought surely Agano-class would have been a case for the Yuubari-like defensive AA since they got the 76mm DP guns.

Hey Flamu, if that Azuma is the B65, you're looking at the IJN's Super Heavy Cruiser proposal intended to overpower the standard Heavy Cruisers of the USN. So basically her armor should stand up to the 8" gunfire and the 12.2" are enough to outrange and outgun the 8" guns of the USN heavy cruisers.
B65 was the IJN's answer to the problem of the USN Heavy Cruiser screen standing in the way of their vaunted night all out torpedo assault on the line of the battle before the clash of the lines.

Regarding the Unitis, I can see one weakness that armor might have. If it gets caught broadside, there won't be any overpens from BB shells - they're all going to arm.

BTW, guys, remember that the Yahagi (the tier 5 IJN cruiser) is a LIGHT cruiser, rather than a heavy cruiser. That's a big reason for the small number of guns. if you look up IJN CL's on Wikipedia, you'll see that the IJN didn't really go in for CL's, and tended to arm them rather lightly. I will say that it's too bad that the torp arcs appear to be so difficult, because that'll make using them that much more difficult.
*small caliber of guns. Amount of barrels is consistent with her precedessors, also she was built in time when IJN have already learnt their lessons of "what can go bad when you overstack guns" and probably went for something they knew WILL work.
Arcs seems pretty much case of Yuubari arcs except with rande and number behind them.

Perhaps they should bump the SMS Viribus Unitis up to tier 5 or 6. It might be a tad slow then, though.

I got Yahagi and Viribus. Both are very good but Viribis is just AWESOME. The guns are like lasers! Only drawback, is slow. But is a cruiser murderer!

The Tegetthoff class historically had awful torpedo protection, it maybe a factor in balancing the Vee Unit.

The Viribus could have a 20K HP pool and I'd still buy it. There isn't superstructure for players to HE spam at and it had a ridiculous armor profile so that if you're even slightly angled, you won't take any damage.

10 sec reload isnt that good, compared it to other ships near its tier.

Hmmm.... MIGHT have to consider breaking out the CC some of these. Moving away from WoT more towards WoWs and something like these, especially the Azuma would help with getting some 19 point captains...
