People born between 1997 and 2012 are known as the most depressed and anxious generation in history. But what is to blame?

You know, watching this video really makes me consider putting my phone away and stepping away for a bit. I don't want to come across as self righteous or anything, but I genuinely agree with almost all the points raised here. While I'm not particularly proud of our generation, I know that I'm a part of it. Running a CZcams channel seemed like a great side gig alongside my regular job in the real world. I still intend to pursue that, but for now, I'm fully aligned with the sentiments expressed in this video. I'm graduating High School in a few weeks, which has been quite an added stress to everything, but what is there to be stressed about, I'm entering adulthood. This is great!
i think being born in the early 1900s is worse... 2 world wars and great depression
And colonialism
And no interest
Rather live in that era
At least not in 1960 you know where something nutjob will be going on.
It is literally all relative when we talk about experience
As a Gen X, I found this quite informative. Thanks 🙏🏼
Glad it was helpful!
As a Gen Z, social meida is a factor, but Covid/Zoom ruined my life. I'm no longer the hard-working person I was. Most importantly, my high school days were robbed off of me. I can never relive the joy I experienced with my friends and teachers during high school.
🤣 it ruined your life huh? Chances are you're life was going to be 💩 anyway.
Tons of people didn't need covid to experience all of that, kid.
Let me know if you agree
#1 reason, men have no access to women. 30% of gen Z men are virgins.
#2 reason, gen Z women only go out with Chads, and since Chad had thousands of women waiting for him on Instagram, he will dump and/or cheat. (why not when ALL the girls are praying to slit into your DM's?) That screw up women bad that have been sold a pipe dream really really bad and they accumulate mental baggage and a bad view/understanding of relationships.
#3 reason, everything that makes you mentally healthy has disappear a) bright future gone b) family gone c) supportive spouse working as a team gone d) buying a house and having it fully paid one day gone
UPTING is really really clueless and live in a bubble.
@@tomk5047guessing your life is shit
@@woah99 nope! I'm having the time of my life, new car every few years just because, nice house, cute little puppy, well behaved kids, bought a new bike for literally no reason. No house payment, I work when I feel like it. It's pretty good.
As a millennial, I am sad that the positive changes that I wished to see in society by the time I grow up, didn't really occur, instead I see things moving backwards yet again to the dark ages. Right wing extremism is on a rise, humanity is unable to combat climate change, advances in hard earned gender equality and women's rights are being back tracked and on. Here, in India both the right wing and left wing wants to pull rhe country backwards in different ways, dowry transactions are in a all time high, instead of this social evil evaporating out of society, patriarchy just refuses to leave its grip on society and on.
Really appreciate your videos lately. Im so surprised how well they are researched! I dont know if its just me but I would enjoy a longer video (maybe
the rent. the good job avaliability, the gigs economy
Lack of Faith in Jesus
Doom scrolling and rapid changes are so deeply ingrained in the subconscious of Gen-Z that they need a quick change in everything in their life, like career relationships and health. They lack empathy as they are unaware of the process that takes something to build. It's not even their fault. when tech has been available to them so early and all they have seen is a perfect life.
They said the same thing about the young of the 1920's, and it was in some measure true.
What 'strengthened' that generation was the hardships of the Great Depression and World War Two.
I can only hope that Gen Z doesn't have to go through that to learn, but perhaps that's just what it'll take.
That’s sort of true, shockingly many going to trade school, a staunch opposite for those who hate physical work but however I believe they learned from my generation, Gen Y or Millennial, how much of scam higher education actually is so they are willing to take the leap and change and they also know about technology and ironically these skilled traits are sort of future proof unlike many office jobs
I've been seeing a therapist for years and sometimes it helps and sometimes it doesnt I think learning that the world isnt all sunshine and rainbows makes things a bit more believable
Wish the video was bit longer, but you summarized it pretty well.
Thanks for watching!
Now i know why your channel doesn't grow. You are brutally telling the truth that we hate to admit.
I don't need a video to tell me that.
As a Gen X, I found it quite informative.
Try reaching out and helping others in any way possible.
It's an interesting video. Most content I see on this topic I think over-attributes technology to the cause and under-attributes societal challenges. Growing up in the 20th century there was a hopefulness and confidence, at least in the U.S., that we have universally lost. Everyone feels like the world and humanity is on the decline. I can't think of anything more depressing than that. I'm an elder millennial Dad with Gen Z children.
and the job market isnt as good, a college degree isnt good enough is what they think
I just hope we can figure this out because as a young fella who's already 24 years old, I'm sick and tired of this bullshit!
Well, what is Mental health even mean anymore, having separation anxiety making you mentally ill, being sad about the weather, this whole Mental Health has been blown out of distortion, oh hypertension is another thing wheee they have to take a “mental health day” off of work, to cope with some constructive criticism.
Agree 100%
😂😂😂
Gen alpha is next..
How do you think we can find a solution?
I’m so alone.

good morning
Oh yeah let me sit down and stress about climate change. What a joke 🤣. Let me also rate someone's relevance because they have no followers on social media but let's forget they are kings in real life lol. Joke generation

do you hear yourselves, every generation faces their own problems and as soon as we face our own we fucking crumble and victimise ourselves.
still the most sensitive
Don't play with their little feelings mama boy
Tbh, it’s the late GenX/Boomers; for the most part. The quicker they’re gone, the better humanity will be. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t wish them any kind of harm, and I love my older family members…. But as a -generation- they’ve really fucked it.
😅 "climate change" aka weather.
There’s a difference between climate and weather lol.
@@Dutch-McLarenJk82- lol the weather/ climate has always and will always change lol
Climate change IS natural. But humanity is forcing it to accelerate at an unnatural rate, which is the issue. And climate and weather are two completely different things- the climate can affect the weather (e.g. the temperature, the humidity). The biggest cause of climate change is, actually, cows, because of methane. But that doesn’t mean that all the cars and stuff aren’t helping. They’re still making it accelerate much faster than if there was less pollution.
@pyxilate4855 🤣 yeah, the cows.
