Marvellous, I have never fernagled so much in my life ❤ top job
Thanks so much for your info buddy!
Helped me in my garage today, and saved the customer lots of money! Thanks for putting your time into these videos, helps mechanics all over the world.
Half way through mine (thank you to the video) and it's really got me out of a jam.... Keep up the vids cranky.. Thank you so so much!
Just done mine..over a few days...a bit at a time.. what a bxxtard design..done it in the rain ..snow..and dark ...had a problem with pulling dash out from top at driver side but finally got it ..managed to weld the bracket for master cylinder luckily...itll certainly be easier next time ..thanks for the tips
Wow i nearly bought a van that clutch pedal had stuck in. Thought it could be a simple fix but looking at this glad i didnt take it on especially with the heater not fully working either. Difficult places to work in. 😊
Excellent vid well informed thanks may have to do this on my vivaro 11 plate 2.0cdti we did the new clutch and slave 6 months ago and now the clutch just slightly crushed for first 10 miles cold. So thought ill try bleed the slave nip. How ever now clutch doesn't return and couldn't get fluid through the slave nip so will have to check the return spring and this clutch section dam vivaro it's been good so far thanks again have subscribed
Ment slightly crunched gears cold for first 10 miles
Mine did when cold it was the pilot bearing on top of the gear box where selectors go though the casing. Try wd40 or a spray of diesel on the shaft mine stopped crunching for about 4 weeks winter time was terrible
Thanks for video helped me out big time did job in about 5 hour ❤
Super 👍🤗
Great video..just about to tackle snapped clutch pedal bracket
Great video it got me out of a jam thanks.
awesome! thanks
What a job, u did well with the explanation, it was definitely not an easy job. I wonder how long a garage would take to do this and what cost. But what caused this in the first place, do you know.
A heavy foot and with time they bend or even brake the braket
Great video, thank you.
The master cylinder bracket snapped on my 2013 vivaro. Tried welding it back but only lasted a month. I then cut the old one out and made another one which is bolted through the bulkhead. I did really want to take the full assembly out but it looked like the steering column needed to come out. I wish I had seen this video before I did all this work. is this clutch box/pedal assembly the same for my model ? and do you mind asking how much this part cost
You can ring T&b on 01993 704766 and ask for andy or micky they also do delivery also in the description bellow they will tell you how much one is many thanks for watching ✌️ mention cranky sent you
Thanks for the video. Whoever designed this needs to go back to school for a proper education. What a load of sh.t. I can't wait to buy an electric van.
Found the vid thought great some guidance now I wishni never found it cos its just made me dread the job 😥🤣🤣🤣🤣
It looks dawnting but really isn't. I can think of harder jobs I dreaded every time was a starter motor on a 1.9 f9q or the injectors on a 2.0 m9r that's dread right there 😜🤣 thanks for watching and I hope to get more up as they come in
@@crankyconrods7417 just out of interest from start to finish how long would you say the job took you bud ??
Hello ruffly 3 hour but that was filming and stuff. Iv done them one and a half to 2 hours not rushing real easy as I say looks dawnting in the video with all the dash pulled back ect but don't be put off happy to help via emails if you get stuck keep wrenching ✌️
Cheers bud will be starting tomorrow see how I go lol
12:50pm Hi😊… Thanks for the excellent video…How long did it take from start to finish?? Thanks.
Thank you. for me I can do them around 2 to 3 hours but at a nice pace 4 hours I'm gunna do an update to this video as there is a quicker way there are 2 plastic round caps up by the window screen pop them out and that allows you to get to the bolts with out taking the skin off the dash pop cup holders and continue as I say in the video much easier ✌️
Hi did you do an updated video about the plastic clips without removing dash ?
Can you remove the clutch pedal without doing any of this? My master cylinder keeps popping off after after other time I press the clutch pedal. I have to reach down and clip it back on.. it gets annoying.
Have you checked the plastic feet on the master to make sure there all intact. Sadly yes you need to pull dash forward on a right hand drive to sort box out ✌️
At 15.44 I can't get the C Clip back on again. Is it supposed to locate at a particular point in the groove or just go anywhere? How do you get it back on.... hammer??
They are tricky to get back in and can get frustrating. I used a small hammer and chisel then long nose plyers to crimp it ✌️
@@crankyconrods7417 So it can go on anywhere around that goove?
Correct it's just tricky
Are there any good points in having one of these vans?
🤣🤣 Yea there good vans early ones had there teething issues but alot of the time it's poor maintenance or a driver that's hard on his equipment. ✌️
Something happened and my clutch pedal goes back way too high. Which part prevents that happening?
If I'm honest iv never had one with that problem going back to high. But if I had to say it will be the master cylinder and the spring is there to make sure it goes back to the full closed position. Other than bending the master cylinder bracket back down or your master was not seated properly to start. Other than that I'm afraid I'm useless ✌️
Did you manage to sort your clutch pedal coming too high and if so what was it? Mine comes up 3" higher than it's supposed to but I also have a issue with the pedal only coming halfway back. If I put my foot under it it will come back but then is too high. 3 master cylinders so far I've tried
How did you see the box was fucked before starting ir did you just say it must be its the last thing to try ?
It's very difficult to tell without having a replacement next to it as you could see. Look at the master on the pedal it was a tight angle and didn't operate smooth it was sticking in spots. What's your symptoms may I ask
@@crankyconrods7417 towed my caravan on 250 mile journey with my 04 1.9 viv just about at destination boom pedal to the floor but managed to nurse it to destination left it never drove it all weekend pedal came back
Then it happend again i replaced master struggled to bleed it drove it about for a while again then back to pulling it up with feet then few days later no reverse or couldn't get a gear so i back bled it with syringe method got it back again but im still lifting it back up and what im finding is more a drive worse it gets but when you stop go in for shopping come bk out better for a bit or on say a quick shift from 5 to 2nd gear approach to junction it does not like that either no fluid lost tho which is the annoying thing
That was exactly what was happening to this one please check under the dash to see if there is and moisture. cause what was happening with this one also I found that after I replaced master cylinder I found it was sucking air in the soft line on the top put 2 jubilee clips on to eliminate that and second make sure the snail behind the heater matrix on the clutch line is facing down and not up as it will hold air if you have one. It's basically a clutch reduction valve if you stomp on the clutch it diverts the pressure. Now you see why I used a radiator pressure kit it pointed me in the right places
@@crankyconrods7417 will have a check no condensation tho but the van is 188 k now will check those two bits also thanks and thanks for video gave you a sub feel free to hit me back thanks

@@crankyconrods7417 thank you
@ 13:03 was this the clutch interlock safety switch ? Thanks
I believe this was the clutch switch
How much would you charge to do this and where abouts are you based as i have changed do much on mine and pedal will sonetimes return but other times only returns half way (charged so far , gearbox , clucth, new spring and master cylinder) i have looked underneath and mine does look missed shaped
Can you email me at Crankyconrods@gmail.com thank you
Did you sort this issue driving van home after buying it and after 150miles mine started doing this also and has recently had new clutch and recon gearbox etc many thanks god bless 🫡🏴
Yes this did sort the issue out with a good bleeding to
Thank you for reply I've gone out to van expecting to bleed it to find pedal even worse and now van won't move at all without stalling and leaking fluid so I think I have bigger problems having only just brought the van I'm rather upset 🤔 I'm assuming if peaking fluid from gearbox points to slave doesn't it?
@@298CRE8 there is a seal where the 90 degree fitting goes in the gear box that could leak and as you say slave
Iam started doing mine but got stuck with dashboard couldn’t remove the pedal, are you in london? Would be great if i have your contact number.
No I'm not from London but if you look in channel description my email address is there if you send me a picture of where your stuck il try to help you or check out face book the channel is there too ✌️
