Hi Neil and Ant, what a fantastic house. Another one we have never visited. There is so much to see. Love all the tapestries and ornate ceilings. The panelling is amazing and so many wonderful paintings. Fabulous staircase with all the carvings. Hard to choose a favourite room as they are all so stunning. Beautiful gardens too. Hi Dave and Dawn! Thank you so much! We really enjoyed our visit and there was so much more to see than we were expecting... over 30 rooms! It wasn't too busy in the house which was perfect for us. The staircase is the showstopper for us, it really made us stop in our tracks! We were told that prior to passing into the care of Leeds council the last member of the Ingram family living there was a lady, she lived there alone for 20 years with 30 house staff! I forgot to ask, but you said that there are around 66 bedrooms and 11 bathhouses. Are they indoor bathhouses.
Hi Linda... Temple Newsom has 66 rooms in total including the formal sitting rooms, dining room and bedrooms and bathrooms... The 11 outhouses are separate smaller buildings adjacent to the main house which would have included a brew house and laundry etc! The house is huge! 😊
