Hi Neil and Ant just what you needed a great breakfast it looked fabulous set you up well for a day exploring. What an entrance the ceiling is so beautiful. Fascinating that each column has a tree trunk. We just adored the red bedroom . Was that your dressing gown hanging up in the bathroom 😆 . The contrast between the outside and what is on offer inside is so diverse. The state bedroom is wonderful we loved the tapestries making it look so warm and inviting. The kitchens reminded us of Burghley. We enjoyed the gardens here too what a lovely area. This is an absolute gem of a place so beautiful. A great start to your holidays. @inbetween-days Hi Dave and Dawn! Thankyou so much! We were blown away by Holkham it is just fabulous inside! We'd never heard of tree trunks being inside ionic columns before, fascinating fact. The state bedroom is just amazing so many beautiful things in one room... The house was closed a few weekends ago for their sons 21st and they still use the parrot bedroom plus 5 others in that wing for family and visiting guests! Sadly not my robe I'd still be in that gorgeous bed if I'd been staying! The breakfast was delicious! Hope your week has started well... Best wishes from Norfolk... Neil and Ant 😊

Hi Don! Thankyou so much! It's definitely a next level place! We stopped in our tracks when we walked into the Marble Hall as the exterior elevation on that side belies what's to come! They do behind the scenes tours here too which we'd love to do given the chance! All in all we had a really memorable day and we'll definitely be going back to Bang in Wells ( #banginwells ) for another breakfast 😋 Have a great week buddy, all the best Neil and Ant 😊

Quite enjoyed this thorough tour of this famous stately home. I had seen images before of the grand Marble Hall, but not I think of any of the other interiors. It's especially exciting to see a home still owned and lived in by the original family. Fun factoid: The present line of Earls of Leicester of Holkham derive that dignity from the conferral of the title by Queen Victoria, in 1837, the second peerage creation she made in her long reign.

Incredible! Wow! Holkham Hall is magnificent! Just stunning! The interior is very beautiful with such uniquely beautiful Furnishings, Carpeting, Tapestries, Wallpaper & Wall Hangings. Every Room is just lovely in so many different ways, especially the amazing bedroom where so many of the Royal Family stayed! The design structure of the Hall is also truly amazing with such ornate ceilings & panelling! Those magnificent Columns using the pink Derbyshire alabaster are also absolutely beautiful Actually the most beautiful I have ever seen. Also, using tree trunks inside for support is pure genius & totally unique! To me, the lovely soft color & finish on these magnificent Pillars is even more beautiful than marble. The Grounds & Gardens are really pretty as well. Wow! You lads really outdid yourselves in this video. Even your breakfasts at the beginning there looked delicious & so mouthwatering. Now that was a breakfast if ever there was one. You also both looked quite 'Beachy' in this one too, like you both just stepped off a Cruise Ship in Miami or the Bahamas...minus the Ship. LOL. Both looking stylishly casual & very suave! Above all, though, thank you lads for sharing another delightful experience at this wonderful Mansion! In visiting this amazing Place, who needs a Ship? Indeed! LOL Blessings to you both!

Every room was a wonderful surprise each full of the most amazing treasures gathered over the centuries. The gardens are equally superb we had such a nice time! Funnily enough we had been on the beach at nearby Wells... we had such a fabulous holiday! Lovely video but I think you will find that Coke is pronounced as ‘cook’. Illogical I know…

@@chrisisjustme7546 One of the marks of a good travel video is to make you want to go there, and your video certainly made me want to visit Holkham Hall. Not likely I know, considering my age and the fact that I’m at the other end of the world, and if I were ever to get to the UK again I’d be too tempted to go back to places that I loved last time I was there. So thank you for giving me at least this small experience of Holkham.

My last UK visit was in 2017, and of course I spent most of my time visiting my favourite places in London, though I did get to Leicester to pay my respects at Richard III’s tomb, and I got to Cambridge as well because no one should die without visiting King’s College. In London I stayed with the Jesuit community in Mayfair, which turned out to be absolutely brilliant.
