The real trick is that Alisson got four different numbers on a row.
edited out because time is a commodity on TV
50% chance ain't that bad
@@24magiccarrot Yep, you're right. In retrospect, I have no idea how I calculated 0.5
@@alexismandelias Admitedly 1 in 4 isn't that high
But they edited out the duplicate rolls some people moan about editing but removing the duplicates in no way changes the trick the principle of the trick is that it was impossible for her to roll the number the egg was at.
The integrity of the show is not affected as long as P&T only get to see the trick in its entirety once.
@@zanenzeller4885 it is not edited i think it has something to do with the dice because Penn had said something about that in his explanation
Scott, my wife and I were in the audience when this was taped. I don't know if you know this, but Teller came over and talked with your boys after you didn't fool them. He said you did a great job and they should be very proud of you. Class acts, those guys.
What a cool story. Thanks for sharing this.
You silly man, Teller doesn't speak!
Whos Scott?
@@andreasmuller2437 Scott Green. The magician in this video. The magician who's channel this video is posted on.
@@sanjicook08 Oh, but he does. And it was with the voice of an angel that day. Such kindness.
The magician choice at the end was obvious. Allison ALMOST blew it when asking to switch ;)
It was easy if she pick the wrong one he ask her to keep it and if the right one well the trick would have been 100% lol.. both ways work
The end part when Allison chooses an egg is actually very easy but the main part still remains a magic
@@jafarisaber83 it’s a loaded die, no way she could have rolled perfectly with no duplicate.
@@amoghrao they didn’t, as the rules states camera manipulation or changes isn’t allowed during their acts.
@@amoghrao that’s exactly what you’re saying, editing out the rolls changes the trick, so no that didn’t happened.
That "EGGsit" ending was just pure laugh 😂

The best part about this show is that all participants get about the same quality of exposure, not only 'big winners' as in artistic competitions. Love it.
And unlike any other TV show I've heard of, the artists are allowed to put up their performance on their own CZcams channels, which I think is how it should always be, but also something that tells you something about the morality of Penn & Teller.
It’s wild how many jokes everyone made with egg in it. Really scrambles my brain.
I normally hate cheap puns, but this routine made it work. Very well conceived trick.
Would you say it was..

@@activechaos128 the perfect plan was hatched one could say........
Sounds like you made an eggception for him
I hope the ones who don’t fool them understand we all appreciate and enjoy their performances and they are still entertaining us.
Many of the best ones aren't foolers, and sometimes the, hate to say this, less exciting ones do "win." I recall a young woman fooling the guys by syncing her Apple watch to her iPhone with over 20,000 songs on it and guessing the song Allison chose correctly. P&T guessed incorrectly she maybe was wearing microphones/had a stooge helping and thus she went home with the trophy because technology details weren't their go to.
But there's more than one way to win. Piff walked home a bigger winner than most trophy holders. And I think this guy did too. He put on a great memorable show for a huge audience. When potential show booker's/potential gig hirers see a performance like this vs Apple Watch girl, it's no question the one who performs well, plays with the audience, and clearly loves the craft would win out
Easy, he has a microwave in his finger ring
Heiko Weber a micromicrowave!
Do NOT microwave eggs
@@giggs9848 why I do it all the time lol
Eggs explode in the microwave
Don’t you mean egg-plode?
Hearing that they read and loved your book is almost a bigger compliment than fooling them!
Teller was “raven” about it..!
At school :"what is your dad profession?"
The kid: "he's playing with his eggs all day long"
The 200 dislikes are the people who had raw eggs cracked in their head
Graham Cracker The trick only works a sixth of the time but 16% of my audiences think I’m pretty amazing
227, actually, to be eggxact
No, the dislikes are from the people who wanted to see Allison get egged. 😄
@@ScottGreenMagic Come on now, be good to yourself. Round up and that is a good 17%
@@TheJeffybarrondo You can't round up with whole people. One person is kind of on the fence, but not 50 50 like, which explains the decimals.
*Not a joke* it’s amazing the amount of lawyer turned magicians out there
Many of the skills are the same. Being able to speak coherently under pressure, researching ahead of time and figuring out all the ways your presentation could go wrong, and figuring out how to take advantage of human psychology.
Lying for money ?
@@glinatork.1589 yes, that's their way of living.
Well, fooling an audience and fooling a jury are akin skills.
Allison’s reactions are too funny.
I love acts like this, daft humour, cheesy puns but with a really good trick at the centre and something other than bloody card tricks, you get fed up of them when you decide to binge watch the show. 9 out of 10 acts is a card or coin trick, it's nice to see something different like this one. Eggcellent! :)
"Out of all the magicians in the world, I have the most disappointed parents."
Oh, sweetie, every magician in the world has the most disappointed parents.
But the most impressed children.
Allison almost blew out the trick at the last moment hahaha!
my wife is allergic to egg, it was nice to see he asked first. Bravo!
But she didn't eat it? Or do you mean because allergic people are scared from the food?
@@X320riginal some people's allergies are so severe they cannot even take the slightest risk of being in contact with the food - for example from inhaling peanut dust if theyre allergic to peanuts.
I never watched this show before, but I'm pretty impressed that Penn and Teller let the magician know they know without GIVING it away completely to the audience, so there is still an air of mystery for the rest of us. So, now I can read the comments and speculate with the rest of CZcams!
The best part was where the kids where like 'What is this dude talking about us'..
Love your version of a Russian roul...egg!
Terrible, terrible joke. Please never again.
yea, kinda fishy that the die never hit the same number twice :P
I think it's likely that they could've cut out her hitting the same numbers over and over
Edited out
Still, She mixed the eggs to start with.
The last two numbers weren't rolled, either. She just got to pick, but I also think it likely that repeat rolls were edited.
I think the die is simply missing one number.
What I've learned:
If I ever want to fool Penn and Teller on Fool Us, I can't write a book first
I “shell” never forget this.
And here we have Marshall trying to prove the supernatural while saying too many puns in the process to his wife Lilly.
That moment when you try to impress a former actual witch who used to cast actual spells.
I appreciate the honesty to accept when they find it.
You mean egg-cept???
You do know there are some behind the scenes judges for Fool Us right? The Magician reveals to them how the trick is done, P&T still has to guess but ultimately there can be no lies because either P&T get close enough to what was told to the Judges or they don't.
I don't know why but at first when i start watching this show on CZcams i thought everyone fools them but now in my recommendation its been long i find out any fooler.
I loved all the puns. This one really cracked me up!
activechaos128 hehe.. crack
The real magic, beyond the trick. Is how eloquently Penn is able to speak in magic "code" in an effortless way. And make it enjoyable even to us who cannot interpret the language
Teller was “raven” about his book…
It’s also amazing how penn&teller read everyone’s book.
I think I got this one -
First trick - The Egg Shuffle by Allison - She shuffles the eggs and the dice comes after the shuffle, so there much be multiple dice that he can place on the table. At this point he knew the raw egg was number 1, so he picked a dice that would never roll a (1,6), opposite ends of dice (1,6) (2,5) (3,4). So depending on which number had the raw egg, he would have chosen the dice accordingly.
The Next step - The dice would never roll a 1 or 6 (some sort of trick with the dice itself, these are in fact the opposite ends of the dice) so at the end, he will have 2 eggs left. He asks Alisson to pick one of the two eggs towards the end but he never told her if he would have broken the one she chooses. She picked number 2, so he broke the other one. I'm pretty sure if she picked the number 6, he would have broken the number 6 since she picked that. No matter what, it was his decision to break the number 6m leaving Number 1 as the RAW EGG.
Eggcept he did not see her shuffle the eggs...
Yes easy, but how does he know where the raw egg is?
@@CrazyMagnificent Probably by the color and/or size
that's clearly not how he did it
1:56 shows the die has 1,6 faces. the die doesn't miss any number. even if the die is weighted, the chance of getting 1 or 6 is not zero
He’s at my school right now doing a show and told us his CZcams channel so hi!
Cool! 😀
Alyson: "Can I spin 'em." For those who don't know, a boiled egg spins a lot longer than a raw egg, which doesn't really spin.
You can also stop a raw egg from spinning and let go and it will continue spinning because the fluid continues to spin
inertia
Thats just science.
@@livefreeprintguns More precisely physics that too rotational dynamic and to specific related to moment of inertia
Super entertaining!! Love the performance and the magic! Well done!
Some of the puns were hilarious, especially the last one :-)
1. Raw egg is marked
2. Six dice are available to give to her, all with different numbers missing. Use the one that has the new raw egg number missing.
3. The last “choice” works the way he wants. Choose the raw egg, crack the other one on her head. Choose the hard boiled, crack that one on her head.
4. Voila, remaining egg is raw every time.
2:49 The die he gave her had the number 1, which was the unboiled egg.
I think it's actually 3 different dice that are rigged dice. They don't have numbers missing, they just are just weighed to not roll on certain numbers. Opposite sides. 1 and 6 make 7. So the next die would be 3 and 4 and the next die would be 2 and 5. He doesn't need 6 dice if he stops it at the last two eggs. He has the dice directly next to each other under the cloth, looks for the marks, and chooses the one he needs.

Great routine! Loved the puns 🤣
What an impressive act, an exceptional individual, a distinguished family, and an intriguing choice of a career path. I couldn't agree more that the legal profession and the financial world can be breeding grounds for dishonesty and ethical challenges, potentially causing harm instead of serving justice or providing financial stability. My sole wish for you is to surpass the wealth of your lawyer colleagues - you've earned it!
This was great man. 9/10
Great performance! I really enjoyed your visit to Louisville last summer. Hope you can make it back this way again soon.
The tricks that make something terrifying out of something hilarious are some of my favorites. Nobody wants to see anyone get injured but dammit if I do not love seeing somebody squirm under threat of raw egg. 🤣
That was one of my favorite Fool Us segments! Great trick! I was disappointed that "The yolk's on you!" was not used.
Yeah, it was all in the Die, He gave her the die that wouldn't hit 1 or 6 after remembering which egg was not cooked by just the egg's appearance. Then when she made the last choice he could either say "This is the egg you hold" Or "This is the egg I crack" The 1 and 6 are opposites, if the egg was in 2 it would be 2 and 5 never rolled.
But she shuffled them
To build on that, we the shuffling of the egg, he looked at it to determine which set was the ‘raw set’ then had some way to rig the die to never land on that pair so regardless if the raw egg was 1 or 4 or whatever, it would always work
@@vincentweatherly9991 Could he rig the die on the spot or just having multiple ones and make appear the one that will never fall on the number of the raw egg ? For the end he should have turned the rack the other way so the 6 is closer to her, she picked the closest of both lol
@@Twoface698 well through their natural co.our, they are already colour coded. also the might have minimal marks on them, a simple grey dot on the one would be enough.
this is worth of thumbs up just coz of the unending amount of puns

my fav of all times
I love this trick, it's super entertaining :D
Even though they weren't fooled, I think your performance was eggcellent!!! :)
I really enjoyed this whole routine very entertaining and my friend who hates puns is receiving a link to this 🤣.
He has an accomplice watching how Alisson mixed the eggs, which as Penn said is really a free way/mix,. And the die is a magnetic die, Penn said the die isn't "eggxactly" what Scott said it was, and bottom of the glass where Alisson is rolling the die is the magnetic "floor" which forces the result of the die. Even though some rolls are repetitive and are cut off from the final edit, these rolls are used as a misdirection. This is my take on how the trick was done, but I hope I'm wrong!
Id say he switched the egg with sligh of hand at some point. Knowing for sure the raw egg was number 1. And the dice hasnt got a number 1 perhaps
He's a eggcellent magician
Hey that's my name! He's gonna grow up to be awesome 😁👌

Probably a great trick to sell as a kit. Don't need any training, or know fancy magic moves. All you need is the props and it's basically self working. Simple and effective.
A good natured family friendly routine. I enjoyed this a lot and I think it could scramble or fry someone's brain a little - but not Penn & Teller's brains.
Her name is Alyson Hannigan or you may call her Mrs. Denisof as she is married to Alexis Denisof of BTVS and ANGEL fame. He played Wesley Wyndam-Pryce, Rogue Vampire Hunter,Which caused Cordelia Chase (Charisma Carpenter) to ask him "What's a Rogue Vampire?"
I think it was very admiral that the gentleman admitted to the truth. He could've said "No" and won but integrity trumped vanity.
Duh. They have to reveal how the trick is done to the producers, so the producers can prevent that kind of deception.
No eggs were harmed in the making of this eggselent video
Very clear trick, bud. Eggcellent.
I was thinking how good those hard boiled eggs would be with toast. Made me hungry.
That moment when you could literally try this at home, and have a 1 in 6 chance of doing it properly xD
Jayden Reid emmm well your just kinda.... very very wrong
1/6 x 1/5 x 1/4 x 1/3 x 1/2 = 1/720 quikmath
@@tan207 Your quickmath is wrong. Doing it properly (evoiding the raw egg) It would be 5/6 x 4/5 x 3/4 x 2/3 x 1/2 = 120/720= 1/6
EGGsactly as the first comment said.
You instead calculated the probability of hitting the raw egg each time (if one of the boiled egg was replaced by a raw egg after each try).
Better than 1/6, if you use the magician's choice at the end it's a 1/3 chance.
You're really charming and thank you for sharing!
