    Welcome back. We love our 23 Limited Hybrid RAV in wind chill pearl . We are in the middle of a road trip through the latest east coast (US) snow storm- be sure to tell your customers how “ sure footed “ these RAV’s are.
    And for the people that ask about a dual range transfer system, the electric motors with the extra torque makes it unnecessary.
    Keep up the good work.

    Great review. I’ve got the 2024 limited hybrid in the same wind chill pearl. Wasn’t sure about the colour when I ordered it but I love it. I prefer the look of the XSE seats but wanted the vented seats in the limited. The 360 camera is awesome when you want to park a bit off centre to avoid door dings. In your video the gauge screen is reflecting a lot of light but I haven’t noticed that in real use. All in all, it’s a great car that holds its value.

    thanks for the video. It would have been helpful to see you pull into a parking space with the birds eye view which makes it easy to see if you are right in the middle of the parking spot

    Great review! Love my 23 SE Hybrid. Amazing vehicle. Toyotas are rarely sexy or luxurious. But the stuff it's supposed to do? Toyota almost always knocks it out of the park. No exception here. The infotainment system could use some pretty minor tweaks to make it fantastic (like use the arrow buttons on the steering wheel for navigation on the infotainment screen so you don't have to or better yet in addition to reaching out for the touch screen; provide a setting to remove the subscriptions from the mode button options - I will probably never subscribe Amazon or Apple music or XM, so it's a real pain to have to toggle through them when I'll never use them; ability to navigate using voice control is awesome, but too limited - allow all options & settings to be navigable by voice commands; too many steps to go from use phone for media to android auto etc). It's no wonder it's the best-selling SUV in N America.

      Ouch! Yes we had just as long wait times but now we are estimating about 6 months plus, Toyota is upping the production!

    Hi! The 360 view on the JBL display is only available through the technology package? Also, same question about the digital review mirror. Is it easy or hard to manually adjust when driving on highway?

    I hope the talk I hear on the 2025 RAV4 Hybrid XSE on the revamp changes coming soon are going to make the car look a little more sporty and less dull then the past six year models.
    I mean it looks good, but is due for an upgrade. 😮

    I was told by my dealership that 2024 XSE Tech pack comes with Panoramic Moon roof. Is that true.?

    Your XSE 2024 don’t have panoramic moon roof? Mine is with panoramic moon roof. I don’t like in xse is doors , needs to close hardly. Also xse cheap plastic compared to crv, rest I love xse to drive.

    Elizabeth, hybrids are a scam for ignorant car buyers woefully ignorant about tech aka cost/benefit.
    Fuel economy savings does not compensate for higher purchase price, vehicle performance aka added weight and most importantly long term reliability cost if plan is to own a hybrid vehicle out of warranty.
    A last note is, you have extraordinarily beautiful eyes.

      You can do up a cost benefit spreadsheet so we can see your math? What's the breakeven point for the Rav4 hybrid?

    • @JTTTTx
      @JTTTTx Před 6 měsíci +3

      I don’t know about your experience, but I just sold a 10 year old Prius V ( small wagon) with 90000 miles for about half what I paid for it.
      I drive hybrids to stretch the fossil fuel supply until the next better option comes along.

    • @RuzicaCity
      @RuzicaCity Před 6 měsíci +1

      I would agree with you on the last point only.
      While the exact same model of Rav 4 (XSE) is not available as an ICE vehicle, a similarly equipped one is only about $2000 less expensive vs hybrid. This small difference cannot be real additional production cost as for that money they cannot buy just raw materials for hybrid components (“raw”, like steel, copper, aluminum, lithium, insulation, etc). Considering that the hybrid system includes the hybrid battery, even 3 electric motors, large almost 100kW converter, cables, additional controllers and numerous other smaller items which are not needed for ICE vehicle.
      Your second point is simply plain wrong as performance of RAV 4 hybrid AWD is actually better than ICE AWD despite of weight difference, which is actually not significant. RAV4 hybrid is almost a full second quicker from 0 to 60 mph than the regular RAV4. While the fuel consumption is considerably lower, probably around 25% on average.
      But they will get us on increased maintenance cost, and it could actually get rather very bad. For example, there is a well-known issue with this vehicle, nicknamed “cablegate”, a premature failure of high voltage cable between the converter and rear electric motor, and that cable is covered by a standard 3 year warranty only. I’m in Canada, and cost for replacing that cable alone ranges around $6000 CAD (no typo here…). So you buy all that extra hybrid technology for about $2000 only and then 3 years later they will charge you $6000 for just one small component of the hybrid system which objectively speaking should not cost and doesn’t cost more than 5% of realistic production cost of all hybrid components combined… Go figure…

    • @wyw201
      @wyw201 Před 6 měsíci

      @@RuzicaCity On cablegate, in Canada, Toyota sent owners of 2019-2022 models a program letter covering the fix and is transferable to subsequent owners. Those who have received the letter will have the fix free of charge. Essentially Toyota will cover up the cable connector so salt water will not come into contact. Not sure if Toyota offers the same service in the US.

      @@RuzicaCity I thought the cable issue had been sorted or at least significantly improved.
