Skateboarding Isle Of Wight: Sandown Skatepark

Sandown Skatepark in the Isle Of Wight definitely felt more like a bike oriented park, or maybe great for scooters who love big airs.
There's no reason you couldn't do amazing things on a skateboard here, but I think for most people this park would be a little too intense, especially for a park to go on your own.
I think most of us skateboarders are getting a little older, and aren't deluding ourselves into believing we will "one day be sponsored" or "pro" anymore so we aren't as willing to potentially die on massive obstacles.
That being said if you have the skill or the drive to hit the massive obstacles this park has to offer, you could definitely get some phenomenal clips out here.
The three block, as much as I harp on it, is a very rare obstacle to find at a skatepark, let down mainly by the fact the floor is so sketchy and rough. (Again, not an issue for a scooter or bike, where your wheels make the quality of the floor a non issue.)
I considered trying it, but I knew I wasn't likely to succeed and the risks far outweighed the rewards (A funny bit for a CZcams video in exchange for potentially seriously injuring myself and ruining the remainder of my holiday? no thank you)
FINAL SUMMATION:
Sandown skatepark definitely puts the ACTION in ACTION SPORTS.
Only the bravest and most seasoned individuals could shine here.
If you are inexperienced, then I can imagine this skatepark would only put you off, but it also stands a great goalpost, if you are new to your sport, as a "final boss" of skateparks in the area.
If you can conquer this park, you will be able to conquer anywhere.
Yeah, this is not my best work, but you have to understand that I was absolutely exhausted after five whole days of non stop driving and trying to hit a skatepark each day on top of that!

My wife is named after the Isle of Skye. I wonder if they have a park.

It was totally oversized and I was very tired so I didn't have the energy or the time to really skate properly, this was the last one on the trip and I was really feeling the exhaustion. Maybe I'll be able to revisit it in the future

@@GoGoSkate probably not worth the trip if you weren't feeling it. I want to see you setup an OG Bowl board and take those mini ramp tricks to a wood bowl. I want to see 70s style Owen with a headband on. 🤣
