Just sat and watching this whole video, genuinely enjoyable to listen to 🤝
Thanks even though i have a sailor mouth lmao
I can't Kickflip :(
I noticed, I've seen your heelflip series
No no. Don't apologise for the ranting. We're here for it. We are it.
Apologies for any clashing audio but I couldn't hear the video as I was recording the voice over and I just kind of went off 😂
I like the ranty episodes the best!!
Haha I've been trying to avoid the ranting thinking it might actually put people off having to watch videos of my whining but now reading this I might actually complain a lil more 🤣
@@GoGoSkate keep them coming
I've done like 10-15 (regular) tre flips in my life. The trick does not get easier. Not for me. I think it depends on the person. I've seen people who can tre flip so easy, but then their kickflips/heelflips are horrible or non existent🤷♀. Also, I full out flick on my tre's. So it isn't "all scoop" like most people say. Everyone does tricks differently! Don't be discouraged, certain tricks just work better for certain people, that's why everyone has a different bag. Just my opinion. And some tips to help...it's easier on a more 'slick' surface (if you can find anything like that). That's how I landed my first one ever. Stay in the 'back seat'. Lean toward the tail, not over the nose. And give it a little flick...the way I do mine is with a quick flick of the ankle (similar to a varial flick). If I don't do that, they don't flip. You seem pretty tall, so I'm not sure if this would make a difference for you the way it does for me, but maybe a shorter wheelbase/smaller board. Also, I learned it fakie first. Not sure if you've ever tried, but they're much easier and it'll help with learning it regular. Of course all of that applies to me, so it may not work for you. But it's worth a shot. And remember, tre flips are not easy! FS flip I can't help you with, I don't think I'll ever understand that one lol.
Yeah, I'm 6 foot 2, maybe even 6 foot 3 in my shoes, and the reason I have such a wide board is because I am so top heavy, and my feet are pretty big. I can't help but feel like skating would be easier in general if I wasn't so large but I can't exactly change that 🤣 I'll take your advice on board, I am starting to get close to the tre flips but I didn't really have the space or time to give them a real try today. Yeah I don't understand how people skip Kickflips and heelflips and just go straight to tres. But all the videos online say. They're easier and require less effort once you get them, the pros say Kickflips are a full body full effort trick vs the tre which is more chuck it and land, apparently, so they don't Kickflip until they're fully warmed up (Zach doelling stands out to me)
I've been skating a long time and I still can't do any of those tricks either. I've never been good at Flatground since I've always gravitated to Transition skating. Although this year I've been trying to skate more street. So hopefully I can start learning more tricks on Flat soon. 😤✨
I actually couldn't do tricks on flat so I started with transition too,it's a great path to take, especially as it seems like once you work out a trick once, you can do it most times. Plus nothing beats a nice quarter pipe
That's why this is one of my favourite channels. You can still do more than me though!
Thanks man, that's high praise for admitting what I can't do 🛹
I need to give half cab a go, great vid
Thanks man! Yeah it's well worth giving a go, especially if you don't have any 180s yet, id say it's a great gateway to doing it because it feels more natural to turn to your normal stance, plus it teaches you how to backside 180 because you are practicing basically the same motions with the body, just in a different stance
The best basic flatground trick is a Switch 360 Inward double Heel
Thought I'd skip over that absolutely noob trick

Next mission. Skate the slide in the background
Hahaha 🤣 we will see
So sad I only had like 15mins spare to skate yesterday ;( big sad
Man that gives me the big sad but the kickflip into the hip gives me the hots
p.s. you're right. Learning is the fun. I'm not aiming to be the next big pro! I just can't stop doing it.
It's easy to lose sight but if you remember that everything can teach you something valuable, you realise everything is valuable
GoGo Consistency woyoo! That's crazy yo Not going with the flow Heep hoh You only know a bit about the craze Cuz you know it's not a race You go at your own pace With your fun face Neither do I know anything about ya I just know you're skating with your beard yeya You're gonna keep uploading for 40, 50, 60 years? I'd be happy as long as no nothing of you tears Keep up the cool vids Then the future will have a lil better kids lolz GoGo Consistency woyoo!
Suno AI in the chat here dropping fire truth bars. 🔥🙏😎 Permission to use these lyrics?
Oyoy! I wrote it myself yo. Don't go stepping on my authenticity, bro. Obviously, you can use them how you want, haha. I wrote it for you. @GoGoSkate
I bet they quoted to 'resurface' that patch. Is there another park on the horizon?
Yes apparently. I'm hoping to over the next few years document it on this channel
Skating next to roads would stress me out. 😅
It's pretty much road or nothing out here lmao
Earl Shilton, nice! I was there in the wet at Xmas. Are you based in Leicster?
I'm closer to Coventry but earl shilton is a pretty close park for me
Love it man. That flip to grind catch on the ledge and out was sick. Loving the mix up of stuff in this one
That primo catch was crazy lol
Only with Jack can such madness occur
This used to be one of my go to tricks. I used to be able to do it in transition. Sadly I can't anymore, but maybe again someday! 😊✨
You'll land it tomorrow
I need parks with obstacles like these near me :D
Wish you the best in your new chapter of life. ✨
Definitely my favourite park in Gloucester. Such a good vibe! You caught it at the right time though, its usually really busy.

Interesting park, that manual pad alone looks fun 💪
It's fun and playful, I do like the direction newer parks seem to be going to accommodate more beginners, instead of just. Here's some Giant Ramps and ledges. good luck. Because even more advanced skateboarders can have fun on small obstacles. It's good for everyone!
Hey man, I only just subbed to you as I like to follow other skate youtubers and get involved in the community. This is the first one of yours I've watched and it sounds like you have put so much work into the channel over the years and rightly feel like you deserve more from your efforts. I can also tell you have a passion for the whole thing though, so I hope you find a way where you can make this sustainable, keeping this as a hobby rather than aiming for it to be main source of income. That way any success from something you enjoy is a bonus. I'm going to check out your latest vid now...
Hobby definitely seems like the way forward with this!! Thanks for checking me out man!
Is that Tamworth?
Yes sir
Looks fun. Most stuff no higher than a curb, just how I like it aha
Nice and playful, we need more like this
🎉
Looks like a fun park
Yeah it was, i need to make a day trip to make a more proper video out of it
Good job bro! 👍
Thanks ✌
I been skating about 3 years some of which working a lot so way less. I respect the work and slams it takes to do this hobby. Most normal people can barely ride on a sidewalk. I always remind myself when I feel I am not progressing. I can finally land heel flip I had the kickflip first. Which do you prefer? I always feel like Rodney Mullen when I land a kickflip for some reason.😂 That was concidered a real advanced trick in my day, the late 80s . Anyway I enjoy your vids🤙
@@benoduartebd dude thanks for such an awesome supportive comment! I mean I can regular kickflip fine and I can only heelflip switch for some reason 🤣 I don't really know what I prefer, the kickflip is the OG flip trick but the switch heel is switch 🛹
Ya ok switch heel I'll have to try that. I kind of do flat ground and then another time I'll just do carving or like ramp stuff. I hope to ride as long as possible. It's like you forget all the problems in life for a time and just have fun.🤙
@@benoduartebd Haha yeah for sure! I do tend to overthink because I'm always looking to film something, so I'm always wary of my phone/camera etc, but when I'm not filming and just rolling around those are the best moments
Proper digging that waved and curved rail 🐍
Such a funky park. Need to go back and utilise it better
15 years sans 360 flip is a long time. I get everyone progresses at their own pace and all that. And this is no knock on your abilities... BUT If you had a full support system and no full time job - I think that maybe if you wanted to build a career out of skateboarding you have to put the work into skateboarding and maybe your lack of effort shows through to the viewers. I hate to sound like a jerk but really how much of your day is spent doing actual skateboarding? Maybe if passion is more filming and editing, go find a good skater and ask them to work with you. I think you've been lazy and you might not want to put in the work. Sorry if that sounds mean
I've always considered filming and editing myself as a part of skating, I do know skateboarders who are much better than I am, but the whole point of my channel is to record my personal journey and how I get to wherever I get to. I can't 360 flip yet, and I skate constantly. The trick might be an ultimate goal but it's not an ultimate priority. Even though it's the dream for me to get there I'm just not there yet. That's life however. Too many are afraid of showing how they get to where they are. Show me footage of a pro barely ollieing on flat. Oh wait you can't, they scrub the archives of all that footage because they don't want anyone to ever see that everyone starts from zero, just continue the illusion that some people can just tre flip from the moment they appear
Taking a step back is always the best thing in time like this. I don't blame you for wanting to ease up on the posting of videos. It can get on top of you running to a schedule and if your not getting anything from it then what's the point. I get the frustration. Just post videos when and if you can and we will still be here to watch them. I'm sure given how much you like to skate and film/edit you'll get the itch to post a video now and then. In the meantime go and enjoy life and keep rolling.
Yeah I'm kind of hoping if I pretend I never did this the itch and passion will return and all that will matter again is how much I enjoy doing this 💓
Feel ya man. Hate how so much of my time/ energy has to go into actual adulting at a real job when I just wanna make skate videos with my friends as if I'm still a teenager haha
Adulting is the worst, we should just be allowed to stay kids in an aging body. Because truthfully that's what we really are
Sick 😂❤❤
Your channel was a big inspiration when i used to actually post and the fact youve kept it going so long is inspiring too. I understand your desision, i feel the same way about the state of youtube and i also dont feel like i get much out of it at this point either. I look forward to your tre flip video and any other videos that we might get blessed with.
I'm glad to have been a source of inspiration, I hope I can continue doing this even though the uploads will be slowing down a bit. I know it's pretty much par for the course for me, sometimes I just post a video airing out my grievances and I'm sure you've probably seen a few of them, lol. I still do like doing all this, it's just a lot right now. Plus I'm struggling to find the time for it, editing takes a long time and I need to get into the zone with it and if I'm constantly being distracted I just never go back to what I was doing. I'll still be posting, maybe the tre flip video won't be the finale, maybe when I get to that point I'll have worked it all out. Who knows
Looks like pressure 360 kickflip idk🤔🤔🤔
Sick
I've enjoyed your videos but I'm happy to see you make this choice. Go out and live your life! Get off of all this nonsense.
I'll be posting again soon most likely..but I'm gonna take a lot of the focus of my life off of CZcams in general I think
I have done this for fun for 6 years. It has been fun at times and other times, I spent more time editing than view minutes the videos got. However, I love the small community that always checks in. I haven't done this all in, I fit it into my regular life. Filming is just part of skating at this point. I have never made a dime and will never make a dime off it. I have given away over a thousand dollars in boards, bought cameras, paid for editing software, and spent countless hours editing. However, if one person watches and leaves a thoughtful comment it seems to make it worth it. I can tell you this, you earned a friend along the way. Stay Rad.
Yes Anthony, you are a brilliant person who I was blessed to meet through the #ytskatecrew. And what a skate crew it is! The community of people who all bolster each other is a real nice, safe haven for people like us. Maybe worrying about the money has always been the problem. It seems like I'm not the only one who isnt making money at all after all. We just do this for the love. But I'm realising how my time is limited and its like this is all I think about. It's like I live to make these videos and I know there's more to life out there than this!
@@GoGoSkate time is the most valid resource. I am up at 4am and out the door by 430 and at work by 5. I don't leave work until somewhere around 630-700 and get home around 730 on average for the last 28 years. Then the Saturday and Sundays I have available I try and skate as much as possible and spend time with my wife. It doesn't sound like much personal time but the way I spend that time brings harmony to my life. The skating and the videos are important to me. My skating will never match my passion for skateboarding however, I will never stop. The videos hold me accountable. If I am not making videos then that means I am probably not skating. And that is no good. The commute have is awesome. Even as views have tanked, all the OGs are in the comments. That's what keeps me sharing. And now and then a new person will come along and say they just watched a video and they are getting back into skating and that makes the time spent on the editing worth it. There is no monetary value, but there is still great value for me in making my crappy videos with the same 7 tricks over and over again. Stay Rad Sir. Find your harmony.
I have been there my friend, stay happy and take time off the internet (a long time). Later you may find that you return to making videos but this time because you enjoy making them. Now I enjoy making videos simply because it's my only creative outlet (I can't sing, dance, draw), and I don't chase any expectations. I just want to make stuff.
You somehow went from a massive workload to an even huger workload. I don't know what possessed you to fully animate a 3d universe by yourself but you are doing a brilliant job!!
Wear sunscreen.......
Like Terrible Company said, I have tried for years in my town to get some recognition for all my videos and editing work. Done the odd bit here and there, worked on a stunt group that we had a laugh with, and then always chronicled skating. I'm feeling ya man. I'm a bit of a perfectionist and OCD, so I probably never am happy with the edits I put out and yet I know I put too much effort in them to barely get seen. And it's not just the CZcams problem. I share and try get word around about a new video dropping featuring the locals but it never seems to resonate. It seems everyone's just happy to doom scroll and like quick fix skate clips. I think with all the effort from amateur and even pro, it really is tragic how little interest those productions get. I still wanna make short films and the like but is it even gonna find its audience and like minded individuals? Probs not
Your edits are on another level of creativity, you manage to make your work have such a distinct style and visually very impressive, BT3 is one of my personal favourite CZcams skateboard related videos due to the sheer editing magic in it. You definitely have a knack for this sort of thing and it is a shame you aren't being more seen
@@GoGoSkate thanks Owen, you're too kind honestly mate. Hope you keep at it when it feels right for you, I'm always entertained by the coverage and updates
Appreciate the open and honest commentary dude, and completely understand where you are coming from. I was at a very similar place to you 10 years ago: I had to make a choice whether I wanted to seriously pursue being a skateboard filmer/editor, or concentrate my efforts into my actual day job and long term career. I ended up much happier doing skateboard videos for fun on the side, and if anything the skills I learnt in my job/career only made my skateboarding output better, so it was a win/win: Having fun making videos, having fun watching what I made, not stressing about stuff being popular, etc.
I don't really want to stress about stuff being popular honestly, I like that what I make remains available in the future so I can look back on stuff and enjoy it. I guess I'm just at a crossroads with this stuff and I need to figure out what the alternatives may be
