Alaska resident here. Former resident of the southern US where Chick-fil-A is dominant. Closest Chick-fil-A is thousands of miles from here. It is absolutely a thing that anytime my wife goes on a business trip outside of Alaska, that she bring 4 Chick-fil-A sammiches back with her. For real.
What a big difference from the South to Alaska! My husband and I went to Alaska twice on cruise ship and we just loved it all, and also stayed one night in Anchorage and walked around the city.
