Great review! I loved Rainbow Studios all those years ago. Their games always felt just right to me. I didn't realize these are some of the original developers.
I can't wait for the HD remaster coming out soon. I watched your video just now to get a better feel for the game, as I never played it on the consoles. You've made it harder to wait these few more days now before release. :-)

We dealt with Robb Rinard during that time. He talked about the game tracks every point of contact per tire so if one tire is on dirt and the other 3 are an asphalt the game will compensate for this etc. When we did the sound our car were placed on a wheel dyno and recorded with something like 7 or 8 microphones from inside the car and outside the car.

É essa a magia de vídeos bem feitos sobre videojogos. Se souberes explicar bem porque é que adoras um jogo, és capaz de chamar a atenção de outras pessoas para um bom título que poderia ficar esquecido.

I play this very good racer still very often. Its quite unlike anything out there and people mostly passed it by. Amazed they're remastering this for PS4 and XB1 considering it's sales but it's definitely got it fans

I remember old game for dreamcast called 4x4 evolution. If I remember correctly it had sequel as well for gamecube and ps2. I do go back to it occasionally, but always wanted something similar in new package. This looks exactly like what I was looking for
Remember that tou have now the HD remastered version released back in 2017 for PS4, Xbox One and PC ;)

mais uma grande analise,pena este jogo nunca me ter aparecido nenhuma vez,so a versao ps3,ta mesmo grande jogo,apesar de buggys e pickups,trucks nao ser o meu forte,mas gosto bastante dos jogos,e este é mesmo uma hidden gem apesar de nao ter graficos top e das criticas,essencial pra quem gosta de Offroad,freeroaming e longas etapas á la Dakar..
muito bom video e de grande qualidade,e agora sou eu,quem te agradeço por me dares a conhecer e querer comprar este jogo :D

Pois, a versão PS3 aparece bastantes vezes, ou não estivéssemos num país "playstation" ;) Se o pessoal tivesse experimentado primeiro a versão 360 teriam outra opinião acerca do jogo, pois é incomparável a jogabilidade na 360 com a da ps3. Na consola da Sony até se torna difícil de controlar o carro quando há muita confusão no ecrã. Parece que até o "input lag" aumenta drasticamente!

Parece pretty sweet, cada vez que vou a uma Cash costumo encontrar o raio do jogo, mas deixo o mesmo sempre lá, sou fã de racing games e o meu pai ainda mais, se calhar da próxima vez será altura de o trazer para cas :P

Pois normalmente apanho a da PS3, mas ao ver o teu video vejo que este foi daqueles jogos que ainda na fase inicial da PS3 não conseguiam aproveitar o poder da consola naquela altura (isto tendo um pouco a noção, que acho que a PS3 sofreu da questão de não vir por exemplo com todos os seus cores unlocked tal como a PS4).
E nota-se que a versão de 360 é relativamente superior.

Sim, a equipa por detrás do The Last Guardian até veio a público afirmar que não conseguiam terminar o jogo na PS3 por esta ser difícil de programar ;)

Neste caso (e na maioria dos casos), a X360 é, sem dúvida, a melhor opção ;) Jogabilidade super fluída que torna o controlo do carro mais fácil naqueles momentos de maior aflição e confusão no ecrã ;)

Pixel, do you think THQ and Rainbow Studios should make a Baja Edge of Control sequel?
I would love to see a sequel to Baja Edge of Control, but not from Rainbow! 2XL Games should do it, but I don't think that a sequel will ever see the light of day... sadly :(

you should do an update on the HD Baja.
Yeah... I never thought that an HD version of Baja would ever be released! And I had already lost all my hope on a PC version of this game. A couple of months later, after I published this video, the HD version was announced ;) Bought the PS4 and PC versions and I'm always playing them ;)
