- Mega Man 8-bit deathmatch (MM8BDM) has great bosses. Each one is redone from a boss fight from its appropriate game. Its interesting to see Cutman Mike developed these bosses to still have that Mega Man feel in the FPS genre. The first part includes the ending bosses from Chapter 1 through 6 plus the bonus boss battles such as the Mega Man killers and Fake Mega Man. Enjoy!
Man 8-bit Deathmatch is a free project created by CutmanMike and Team MM8BDM who consist of hardcore fans of Capcom’s classic Mega Man series. Powered by the Zandronum engine, this retro styled first person shooter is designed around the look and feel of the 8-bit Mega Man games. When id software started releasing their engines to the public, I wonder if they had any idea the kinds of masterpieces that would emerge as a result.
The beauty that the community has created off that engine is amazing. Recently played the Golden Souls 2. Wow. That's love right there.
Since the old doom engines got released there's been many masterpieces like srb2, mm8bdm which is in this video, project brutality or brutal doom which those 2 are like upgrades to doom

The early bosses were pretty neat, but it was the Guts Dozer that made me go "Holy crap, this is awesome." Being able to tag team with Guts Man to fight it is just so cool.
That was such a cool fight! I'm glad CutmanMike was able to make the FPS fights feel like a Megaman game.
my favourite is the boss rush of all the robot masters, hearing Gamma slowly approaching as you advance to the next room

@@DragoonDyte I mean it would have been fun seeing Evil Mega Man steal your powers from you and have you fight him buster only again. However, I like the Gamma fight just the same. We don't often see him with his legs attached after all.

@@DragoonDyte Absolutely. I think if they kept the fourth Evil Mega Man fight, it would have been a little less climactic... and kind of unfair.

Protip: The number keys let you access certain weapons quicker. 1 is the Mega Buster (as well as the Mega Arm, Super Adapter, Duo Fist, etc.) 2 has weapons like Laser Trident, Dust Crusher, Thunder Beam, Dawn Breaker, etc. 3 has weapons like Water Balloon, Metal Blade, Wave Burner, Needle Cannon, Yamato Spear, etc. 4 has weapons like Tengu Blade, Slash Claw, Flame Sword, Thunder Claw, etc. 5 has weapons like all the bombs like Hyper Bomb and Crash Bomb as well as Super Arm, Atomic Fire, etc. 6 has weapons like all the screen nukes like Rain Flush and Gravity Hold as well as Time Slow, Time Stopper, Flash Stopper, etc. 7 has weapons like all the shields as well as Ice Wall, Mirror Buster and some others that have shield-like properties.
Thanks so much man! I’ve played a lot of FPS games on console so I’m used to quick swapping or switching. I forgot Doom on PC has quick buttons

So 1 is normal and default upgrades, 2 is the firing straight forward, 3 is firing straight forward part 2 electric boogaloo, 4 is melee, 5 is bombs, 6 is screen nukes, and 7 is mostly miscellaneous.
I hope i'm not the only one who loves the Darkmans fight, it's so epic and chaotic jumping around the room charging the proto buster (i'll just call it like that) while seeing protoman doing the same
Now all I need is a MMX variant, plus the ability to switch into Zero, and you have me sold

He was opening the door so you could escape the Guts Dozer.
You can even see this get referenced when you talk with Gutsman after the fight. He says something like this: "Thanks for opening that door, you saved our life! Wait, what do you mean it wasn't you?"

FPS Mega Man with this kind of tight control is something only Retro Studios (Metroid Prime) could possibly make. They're perfect at transitioning shooter platformers into 3D.
There was going to be an official one based on mega man x but it got cancelled.
@@heeho2138Such a shame that one got cancelled but i always had the vibe that if Capcom completed and released it would be hated by the community only to be loved like 5 or 10 years later.
Also a little personal fact: when i played Doom 2016 for the first time i quickly remembered that Megaman X game because of the glory kill system.

You can sneak in some damage with Napalm Bomb when the Guts Dozer runs you into one of the corners

I'm playing the game on the Delta Touch app (basically on mobile) and I have trouble with continuing my save file. Every time I press the "quick load" button, it tells me that I "can't quick load in a netgame". Is this some kind of glitch or error, I'm trying to continue story mode. Someone please respond.
