Teddy will be loved or hated evenly forever based on your perception and likes and dislikes, but its truly a credit that one thing is objectively true about him and has been since the 90s, he respects true high level fighting. Almost no real boxing guys have ever learned and traded their boxing expertise into MMA and talk about it on the same depth level as they do boxing. Teddy legit reconized UFC as true fight sport and decided to learn it and watch it and comment as he does boxing. So you get a boxing historian and great training mind looking at MMA from a different lense as breaking it down. Instead of scoffing at MMA and sticking to boxing as if it doesnt exist. Props to teddy for not faking interest for a talking point. Prime example Max Kellerman. Tarnished his fight sport name because MMA fans saw him on ESPN talking about big UFC fights when he clearly didnt have the true knowledge. And it made these younger generations forget Max Kellerman is a legendary boxing analyst, commentator and boxing historian. But he instead took money to talk on First Take about UFC fights without truly first learning about it on a real level. Which Teddy clearly has.

Im a huge fan of both guys and I hate to see either guy lose. That being said I think topuria gets it done

what are you talking about, besides the Spanish, Georgians and some SouthAmericans (Topuria head's coach is Argentinian), the rest of the world goes for Volka, also the experts and professional fighters.

Coming back too soon his brain got rattled. One shot and he's going out his ko is way too fresh. You must not follow combat sports in my 25+ years of following boxing and MMA guys don't do so well when they com back this early from a knockout

Topuria hasn't shown us much. He looked good against lesser opponents. Volk said he prepared for the best version of Topuria. I can't see how Volk loses

Let’s discuss the level of competition between the two fighters. This guy has fought one guy with a pulse in Emmett.
People always get caught up with resumes. That stuff usually comes into play when both fighters are round the same age same experience. Then you compare that stuff. But when it's an old lion vs a young lion it's not as important or an accurate way to look at it
@@Bluewatercat As I rethink things in the aftermath, some things Topuria said proved true: that he wasn't fearing the power of Volk. So true, since I can't remember anyone that Volk erased with one punch. More of the get in, get out kind of thing. Ilia was throwing punches like a knock out artist, not someone afraid of anything in front of him. Hats off.
@@jimmyvespegolf3834 I said goin into this one as soon as toporia gets in the pocket volk needed to go full clinch or go for the takedown. He's as good as I've seen in the pocket. Emmets not elite but he can destroy someone with one punch and illia was just hanging out the whole fight in the danger zone not a care in the world. Timing was just off for volk shouldn't of taken the 2nd Islam fight and shouldn't of taken this one so soon.

Topuria is always over extended, out of position, in every fight, at some point...And when guys can get him down, he accepts being on his back, he can't get up..Those two things will be the difference for the Volk win, if I'm right..But, Topuria will be a champion someday..And you have to take Topurias record with a grain of salt, he hasn't fought the level of competition that Volk has..Dozens of guys have made it to the top 5 with great records..He hasn't beat a guy in the top 5 yet..Just sayin..

FYI: DraftKings opened Volk at -192. Volk is -125 now.
I’m kind of curious how that works. Let’s say I placed a bet when it first open at -192. But now it’s down to -125. Which payout would I get? I’ve never bet before.
@@EP10051 you get what you bet -192. You can reduce the chalk by betting Volk again @ -125 which would give you an average of -158 on Volk. I made a small bet on Volk by decision @ +250.
You can also choose fixed or changing odds when you place your bet.

The way Ilia is getting overated is vomit worthy. His high light is going 5 rounds with Josh who came off a dominant loss against Yair. The same guy Volk destroyed. His striking and leg stance is so predictable and repative. Volks team have 10 ways to make him look stupid.

As usual , T.Atlas was wrong in prediction. If he was smart he could've said 50-50, to avoid being wrong, but he went with a guy who was running away from his opponent for 7 min- and it was Volk's sole way not to be demolished against a quicker and stronger opponent, but Atlas is always wrong😂
