  • Your pressure washer unloader needs to be checked if you lose water pressure. If the stem has a ring then it is bypassing water and not producing the necessary pressure.

    Where I work we replace the unloader instead of rebuilding. It'll keep coming back if you try to fix something old and rotted. Plus hard water is particularly damaging to these components so we just replace everything. Business is good, Hotsy

      Yes but to replace the entire unloader is not really necessary. Customers are paying for the entire casing which is a lot more expensive than just the stem kit. It’s like getting a new tire and always replacing the rim as well. But if customers prefer it then business is really good. Thanks for watching.

    What if my pump is shooting water out of my hose where it connects to the nozzle?

    Bull crap , those banjo unloaders are garbage , replace the whole unloader with a vrt 310 unloader .

    Why not replace the oring for pennies instead of a stem which costs how much?

    • @10minutefix
      @10minutefix  Před 9 měsíci +3

      If the leak is from the oring then yes but the ring around the stem is caused by excessive wear and constant trigger release. An oring won’t save that.

      @@10minutefix i had the white plastic washers upside down. Turned them the right way around and adjusted the unloader and now I got a perfectly good working pressure washer. Thanks

      @@10minutefix ? Theres two orings on it and I'm not sure what your talking about would be leaking because of wear other than the oring. You show me one of these stems with this damage and the theory behind how your right and ill accept your wrong. Lol 🤣

      That ring around the tip of the stem is what loses pressure.

    I will have to look into it and hope it's not too late. I think algae clogged the pump due to it getting into my water tank from sitting for 2 months so need to find a way to flush that out but this might be it also.

    • @10minutefix
      @10minutefix  Před 11 měsíci +1

      Believe it or not I have seen many pressure washers sitting for years and the start up and run after a carb replacement or cleaning. I would not remove the pump manifold unless you are ready to change the seals. Once you open it it might damage the seals. Run water without connecting the wand. Just let it flow and see how much water flow there is.

      @@10minutefix i did have to get the carb cleaned before but this time it was the algae. I have a screen between the tank and the pump and it was completely covered. Washed it off and all good now.

    • @10minutefix
      @10minutefix  Před 6 měsíci

      Honestly it could be several things. The unloader is damaged and not creating pressure, the seals are worn and water is bypassing, if your unit has a check valve on the pump to start the unit easier then it could be that as well. I have some videos on those as well.
