Was Dom trying to trigger a memory or something? In the first movie, Letty wins the race against that guy in the first movie so maybe he was trying to trigger her memories by telling her exactly how to drive.

Just so you know Paul Walker I basic that whole character around my father ,
this whole thing was to try to get him back in to make him see what he lost , I wanted him to see what I remembered and to see what he lost , maybe I thought I could find myself in the process , you really never understand what you got until it's all gone .!!.
I based that whole character around my father Brian Hamilton I don't know maybe I too much energy into it all , maybe I thought if he could see what he lost he'd come back , maybe I thought I could find myself along the way but either way I based that character around my father so ,
