Great tutorial! I would say the 2nd method is the go to. No reason to download the dll for a Microsoft c++ redistributable from any other site besides Microsoft. Especially if you're not familiar with the site. Also if you have a ×64, install the Microsoft c++ redistributable for both the x64 and ×86 (×32). x64 alone won't correct the error. @ least not for Origin.

i had a similar problem recently, i watched a video on you tube. I follow the instruction to allow me google chrome to download. after download and installed, i return and reset the restriction download. hope this works
