*Perfect band saw for the hobby enthusiast **MyBest.Tools** Easy to set up and square. Had it running in 10 to 15 minutes. Quality of cuts will depend on the quality of the blades.*
I bought this saw and have used it alot in my short time owning it. Just cut 2x4x1/4 in. tubing on it and was suprised how good it cut it. I don't usually cut anything that big in it. I am impressed with it.
I modified a 12 wood cutting vertical band saw, while the HF saw and the SWAG table was awesome I kept running into the same clearance issue you highlighted on your video. What my saw combo is a HF type horizontal and my modified 12” Craftsman vertical. This works well for me
Thanks for the review and update on the Klutch saw. Setting up a little fab shop and was looking for a good way to notch/cope some pipe. Been looking at this saw and after seeing your review, went in an picked one up. Thanks for the video. Wish me luck, starting a new bbq grill building business. #4sFire
I use a portable model (Harbor Freight) in the upright mode to shape stock for knives and the lower mode to cut raw stock. Best investment i EVER made. A standard bandsaw cannot do even HALF of the things i need
Right now Northern Tool has the Klutch floor model that also converts to cut vertically on sale for $249. Yours is a nice model, too as it saves a lot of space. Great video.
ought it a couple of years ago. Don't know how I worked without it. Replaced the blade after my first big cutting job. Often cut 4" x 1/2" steel plate with no problem. How do you hold it in the verticle position? I need to do the conversion to vertical for some jobs.
Does it lock into the vertical position for when you use that table? Edit: Lol, nevermind. I just watched your vid from when you bought it. But did you, or can you straighten out the forward leaning blade... so it's cutting perpendicular & square?
Yeah, I went with a Bauer portable band saw after trying the Chicago Electric vertical, horizontal with base, it was a disaster couldn't get the blade to track correctly it actually cut into the guide. Took it back and got the Bauer, which is a good saw, but I need something with a base and vise. Got a chop saw and wish I hadn't it is a mess, through sparks all day and couldn't even cut through 2" x 2" square tubing. The Bauer cuts through it well enough, but I'm free handing it and not getting accurate cuts. All in all, wish I would have gone with the Klutch.
When are we going to get a full shop tour? I want to see the messy corner/shelf, aswell, we all have one. I like this type of REAL review, a bit of equipment that has obviously been used.
+James Chippett The key is, get it as tight as it needs to be to not slip and track properly. The blades are strong enough to damage the bearings if over tight. It's a breeze to set up with a new belt.
I got one of these a few months back worked grate till the gearbox exploded. The baring housing for the drive wheel is plastic so if you get the blade to tight the gears get miss alined and brake. They did send me a brad new one though.
+patrick mcglone They are close and probably made in the same factory. Not sure. All I can say is this saw is good. I habe had it for a long time now and it never skipped a beat. I would go with the Klutch.
what do you think of Doug's fake explosion, I think it was a big mistake & it will have a big effect on his following and most of all the financial support his work gets, people feel betrayed by this hokes. Your friend Mark
Everyone please don't forget to delete GOTL and resubscribe if your not getting the new video release alerts!!!
I realize it is kinda randomly asking but do anyone know a good website to stream newly released tv shows online?
@Scott Ryker Flixportal :P
@Mateo Cyrus thanks, signed up and it seems to work =) I appreciate it !!
@Scott Ryker glad I could help :D

I have one of the portable floor models from Harbor freight like Steve Summers has and i like it. Does everything i need a band-saw to do .
never seen this saw, very good dual purpose with the add of the table....
Caught my shirt on fire yesterday with the 5" zip disc on grinder. That's it. I am buying this saw. Getting too old for all those sparks.

+David Gagnon Nice!
What are the dimensions of the table you fabricated? I want to make one.

I changed my screws for that big cover to Allen bolts. Was easyer to take the cover off and on.
Using the portable table you can add to your vise, can you scroll-cut thin metal? Can you install narrow blades to do so ?
Good video ,I have one myself the only problem I see is the blade coming off from the two wheel you have any idea why this happens?
Oooh id be interested in a video on that table

Here it is.

I was going to get a plasma cutter for cutting out metal for exhaust manifolds for small engines but this with a table might work better
+BSSMALLENGINES it is perfect for that.
I clicked on the link, that saw is very affordable, it's going on my list.

What's a good blade for mild steel and aluminum?
Do you think the noise level on this inexpensive unit is much less than a dry-cut chop saw?
do you need to use cutting fluid with it
How do you keep the blade on it. Mine kicks the blade every other cut
Well that new shop sure has not been sitting vacant
Does it cut good abgles and straight 90 cuts

+James Chippett I will shoot a shop tour vid soon. My entire shop is the messy corner🤣
Wen or Klutch in the same kind of saw? Thanks
Decent review
I really like the size of that one 👍
Said no woman ever 😂
I'll tell you what I think about this video; You made me order this saw! ;)
Not just body work does that flexible ratchet work well with, but aviation...I have a couple.
Great video @thegoodoftheland
Should i use lubricant or coolant ?
I think you need me to hook up that single compartment sink beside the sandblaster 😉😎
It is not a sink. It's a future heated Evaporust ultrasonic super rust remover😁
@@TheGoodoftheLand 😎
How about posting the gearwrench ratchet part number.
A question, how do you know how tight to adjust the blade itself? Is there a trick to it?
+James Chippett The key is, get it as tight as it needs to be to not slip and track properly. The blades are strong enough to damage the bearings if over tight. It's a breeze to set up with a new belt.
I live in Tyler and work in lindale, can I come see your shop? Gates are almost always closed.
+DANKshank90 I'm not at the museum anymore. Shoot me an email and we can meet up.
Mine has thousands upon thousands of cuts but no longer able to keep it square

Thanks for the info. Good to know. Glad they actually stood by the warrintee
I hate the stick on info plates. they will be gone when you need them.

I've been trying to decide between this saw and the WEN model. Any advice? Consider me a subscriber. 2 THUMBS UP 👍👍😎.

@@TheGoodoftheLand what is the biggest piece of pipe and/ or
Square stock you've cut? Would you still choose the KLUTCH over a floor model?
Get vapo rust to do a giveaway. And give it to me. Lol

Your friend Mark
I bought mine today and it gave up after 9 cuts
Nice try😉.
Seems rite enough does that saw...🇬🇧🙂
Junk
Don't be so hard on yourself!
Do these bandsaws use carbon brushes?
