I Remember When NJ Transit Received The Buses In 1983. Purchased By Port Authority & Of Course Leased To NJ Transit. To Me. Personally, This Is The Best Bus Ever Made & Still A Lot Of Them On The Road. These Are The Honda Accord Of Buses. Great Recording. Keep This In A Time Vault.
Tony Merced you should watch the ensign bus while they have double decker buses they also purchased a 1982 mcimc9 and it was a ex greyhound lines bus #4478 from America to the United Kingdom and it have a 6V92TA two stroke Detroit diesel engine with the HT 740 Allison automatic transmission they bought it in march of 2016
you should search for it on images or videos also search for mcimc9 videos ensign purchase an ex greyhound lines bus 4478 from America to the United Kingdom like Britain it's a 1982 mcimc9 with greyhound lines Inc colors and ensign bus name on the sides you'll like it
I've missed ridding those buses from Atlantic City Municipal Bus Terminal At Arctic and Arkansas Avenue Wich it was demolished in the late 90s and the second bus terminal at Atlantic and Michigan Avenues to Philadelphia Greyhound bus station at 10th and Filbert streets with my family the older buses are better than these newer buses with engine code issues like those Cummins ISX12 engines
I like to pretend to go to Philadelphia and back to Atlantic city when watching this one those were the days when it used to be the C101 line them switched to the 551 line in order to stop the confusion
the mcimc9 a they were built between 1982-84 with the 6v 92 Detroit diesel-powered they're the another good old days they sound better than the previous mci d4000&d4500 buses with the Cummins diesel engines any way curse those new hybrid coach buses they bite big wind I've missed the older mci buses and Tony keep exciting me with the other buses like the 6106 njtransit& private bus operator's of NJ
so the Detroit diesel series 60 engine with a b500 Allison transmission that the mci d4000&d4500 buses run with since 2001 they are good for the environment but boring
Great looks, great sound, great durrability, great reliability. An all around great coach.

Calvin the D4000 and D4500 have Detroit Diesel and Caterpillar engines to Allison Transmissions. The New Hybrids are Cummins to Allison Transmissions.

Those Cummins ISX12 engines lock up because of engine code issues junk Cummins
