Growing up in the 70s and riding Greyhound frequently, this was the sound I absolutely loved and couldn't get enough of. 😌 I bought an MCI 96-A3 a few years back and couldn't wait to get behind the wheel for my trip from Virginia to California. The coach was SUPPOSED to have the 8V-92T. Imagine my disappointment when I opened up the engine bay to find a 6V-92T in its place! 🥴 Well, I had come too far to jettison the deal (I got a GREAT deal on it) so I took delivery of it and left. Absolutely the greatest solo road trip of my life! 😌 Probably due to the 6V, I spent less than $900 for fuel to go over 2,000 miles without any issues (other than losing one of the batteries). But yeah, I'd RATHER have the 8V.
Awesome! Sounds like the driver is holding/manually upshifting the transmission from 2 to 3 to 4 which is the way I also drove the 740/750-series transmissions too! That prevented unwanted up/downshifts and hunting between gears.

Probably one of the best 8V71 engines I've heard in a very long time. STRONG!!
Great sound, every shift was pure bliss, lovely! That takeoff at the end gave me goosebumps, so good!
