Knowing you were all physically safe was great news. Buildings can be replaced, people can't. So glad the animals came through the storm untouched too but it must have been terrifying for them. Good to see the goats helping with the clear up. Sarah's friend makes hard work look like a hot knife cutting through butter! I can feel you so good. The south of Germany is flooded. About 3 people died in the flood already. Many people needed to get evacuated. The power is out for days for many people. Our house is safe. Praise the lord. But towns very close to us are completely flooded.

We didn't have electricity for a little over 3 months 😢 It was Hurricane Hugo in 1987 think it was that year give or take. A huge oak tree came down across our house. We had a good amount of damage however we were not hurt. We were lucky compared to others . Just down the road three people were killed. We were fortunate. 😊
I just love watching your egg hatching videos. I’m afraid I would spend too much time just watching them hatch. your property is beautiful …and you all keep it looking so neat..I am just so impressed with your children, they are so lucky to be able to live there. Being able to live the way you do is such a blessing….thank you for sharing your life with us
Janice it’s amazing to me how all the animals talk to you guys Especially the turkeys. They are so funny to listen to. It’s like beat me beat me. I just love listening to all of the farm animals. It’s amazing to me. I grew up in the city and still live in the city so I’m fascinated by the country life you guys are such beautiful people And have such beautiful children. I am so sorry for the damage done by the storm. We have had some bad tornadoes even here in Tennessee and we are definitely not tornado country. They can really cause major damage. Glad all the kids pitch in and y’all work as a team to get things back to normal. Those are really nice raised beds!! God bless all of you. 🙏🏻❤️

I took out my wood raised beds this year and replaced them with metal raised beds... I am so glad I did, not only will they last longer but it makes my garden area so much neater looking and in order... I think you will really like the metal raised beds.. Plus.... They are so easy to put together!!

Hi, I'm kind of still new here. Going back to see older videos. So enjoyed this one, lots of farm critters and downed trees. Those raised beds look really nice. Are you moving around all your raised beds? Just wondered, many different ways. I was wondering how many acres you had? Looks like a really big place.
Hi Lucinda! We're so very glad to have you here! Up until recently, we've just had wooden raised beds and they're all starting to decompose. I'm sure we'll get a lot more use out of the metal ones, but we still need to determine where to place some of them. We have a total of 37 acres and it keeps us super-busy! :)

Homemade yogurt taste so much better than store bought. I have a yogurt machine my mother gave me 40 years ago. Has 5 little jars. So easy to make.
I have two of those beds, put them in to grow strawberries in thinking they would keep the slugs out, didn’t work. I plan to repurpose one to create a compost pile and use the other for herbs. I noticed your tower of pots in the garden and thought I’d try them first strawberries, the pots and strawberry plants are coming any day, I’m very excited for them. Love your family, everyone is so polite and helpful. ❤

Alot of work after the storm! It could have been so much worse. Keep an eye on your garlic- I pulled one kind (the one I gave you) The bulbs are huge this year. I have Minnesota garlic left yet in the garden and can't wait to see how that does. Sarah- can you do a video on weaving garlic or onions for storage? I may be older but I need to learn this :)

Oh, we will definitely use it! We plan to assemble it in the back yard area where the new raised beds are, but we haven't gotten around to putting it together yet. Right now we're focusing on getting all of our plants and seeds in the ground. :)
