God, this kid deserves to play on a good team. The Islanders haven't managed to pick themselves up even with Tavares. I hope they can get it in gear so this talent isn't wasted.

I'm a Canucks fan. Boeser stands no chance against this guy. I don't care if he gets more goals than Barzal, the fact that he skates through NHL defences each game is crazy. Keller, McAvoy, Sergachev they're all having great seasons right now. None of them are on the level of dominance as this guy

There's nothing wrong with being a Canucks fan and still thinking Barzal is the better overall player. Look there's no doubt who the better sniper/goal scorer is, it's Boeser. But Barzal is more of a playmaker and he carries and holds onto the puck way more than Boeser. He basically controls the game single-handedly because of his speed/agility, no1 can keep up. So that means it's just gonna be a lot easier for Barzal to keep racking up assists than it will be for Boeser to keep scoring goals nearly once every five shots he takes. That's extremely difficult and rare.
I mean look what happened in the time since these comments, Boeser was 1 point ahead of Barzal and now it's 3 or 4 games later and Barzal is 7 points ahead. He just had 10 points in 3 fuckin games. Including 5 points vs the suck ass Rangers. Barzal's also playing with better players so he's morel ikely to rack up points.
Also Barzal 100% deserves to be an All Star. So does Boeser. These are two truly great players. But Barzal has two teammates (Tavares & Bailey) who were top 5 in NHL in points when rosters were chosen. Every team gets to send a player and there's a limit per division, as opposed to conference. Boeser's been the best Canuck by far, so he goes. But right now Barzal is 13th in the NHL in scoring. Lol, he is ridiculous. He is straight up STUPID good lol. On fact I wouldn't be surprised, if there's an injury, if Barzal is chosen as the sub (maybe Kessel though I don't know).
So in conclusion Barzal is definitely better I mean you know that deep down inside, I know you know that, you don't even have to say it out loud. We all know it. Boeser's a great player, Canucks should be thrilled to have him. Also, Barzal's better.
really? what specifically did i say that is wrong? I've watched a ton of Boeser and every second Barzal has played in the NHL. One guy is a playmaker who creates offense by himself. The other guy scores goals. What is it that you disagree with

you know I'd watch clips of him in Seattle and wonder how his game would translate into the NHL. and some of the highlights look identical. the fact that he's playing with the same kind of confidence, and doing the same type of things vs NHL competition as he was vs WHL competition is just astounding.

We've Been Attacked that was so sick. This kid is incredible. Obviously has the speed but he's also slippery as hell. So hard to line up.

Incredible player, but the rookie of the year has to go to Boeser if he gets around 35 goals. One of the best shots in the league

Even though Barzal is outscoring Boeser by 10+ points?
Goals are independant, while assists are dependent, and there can be 2 from one goal. I therefore value goals more, so If the points margin is about 10, but the goals margin is similar, I might favor Boeser. If Barzal keeps tearing it up though and gets well ahead, I'd say he gets it

okay so im a canucks fan but these arent his best plays? they cant be ive seen some of his and these are all bad. like most his goals were empty nets and his assists (with 2 exceptions) were just give it to someone who then makes an amazing play. im not gonna mention the first 13 minutes cause whatever hes fast we get it. i think this has to be updated cause hes done much better than whats on here now. ps i know this is old thats why i say it should be updated. like im curious were all his early points like these? has he really picked up his game that much since january?
yes i need to update. this is only thru early December he's done a ton since then. but he has not scored one single empty net goal this year. right now he's 4th in the NHL in EV points behind McDavid, Kucherov and Gaudreau. at no point in the season was he "bad." but yes when i have time i'll update the video, thx for watching.

exactly. and it only seems predictable watching from home. he can go either way and has a knack for exploiting a defender by going whichever direction he knows he can beat him. maybe a dman will predict what he can do, but he won't be able to stop him. as evidenced by his third 5-point game of the season tonight lol
