I also have my own little library of technical literature, about cars and tractors that I don't know I will ever own. But it's nice to feel the power of knowledge. I also have many in digital form, but it still doesn't have the magic of a real book.
Lot of literature was lost when all the collective farms and institutions where retired. I managed to save a ton of literature around the year 2000 from being burned in a central heating plant. It's a shame back them people did not see the value of these books. The really rare ones are the drawings for engineering purposes and rebuild catalogs. Some where only distributed among companies that did various engine and machine rebuilds from the 70s to the 80s.

I think on a CAT you also have to engage the pinion first and then use the clutch on the starting engine. I have seen some very grinded pinions and flywheels. The ring gear replacement is not so fun cause there are no ring gears left in stock. So you can imagine the hassle finding a usable ring gear.

Just a couple thoughts, you might want to consider using motorcycle oil for the clutch housing as it's more suitable for a wet clutch then regular motor oil. Look for the designation JASO-MA on the bottle. Also if you're mixing the fuel for the pony motor at 25:1, i think the correct amount of oil is 40 ml for 1 litre of gas. I checked a couple online premix calculators to verify. It probably won't make a world of difference but it may add a little more of a safety margin. Cheers from Eastern Canada! 🇨🇦
It might work out. Main key is viscosity of the oil. Automatic transmission fluid stay's constant in most climates unless you live in very far north. Thanks for the feedback.

Mõnus ja informatiivne materjal. Kui käivitusmootor on korras ja toimib siis on temaga suhteliselt lollikindel käivitada, ka talvel. Minu lahendus sobib sooja perioodi ajaks. Pean katsetama, kui külma ilmaga mul õnnestub ta käima saada.
Kui sul on toitesüsteem korras siis läheb ta ka otse starteriga. Talvise aja jaoks tasuks plokisoojendus,filtri soojendus muretseda juurde.
Õnneks mul see masin rohkem selline hobi oma ja nii öelda "ehk läheb vaja" Pealegi tal plokis mõra ka, vesi tilgub karterisse. Selleks mul oma protseduur välja mõeldud mismoodi õli säästa saastumisest. Kuna vesi tilgub täpselt väntvõlli põse peale, siis enne panen masina käima, lasen plokil soojeneda, siis leige vesi sisse, vesi pihustub ja aurustub enne kui õlisse jõuab. Pärast vastupidi. Vesi välja ja siis mootor seisma. Siiamaani on toiminud see süsteem.@@SuperMAZ007
