Inspired by the award winning Axiom design and do it all 3G forktips, the Scout slingshot from FlippinOut Slingshots represents precision, quality, and affordability in one do-it-all package. 100% designed and made in the USA, the Scout is manufactured in Louisiana by a company that supplies the medical industry- so quality is second to none and what you have come to expect from FlippinOut Slingshots.
The slingshot easily accomodates a variety of shooting styles, whether hammer grip, fork supported, or pinched. What's more, the unique and FlippinOut Signature asymmetrical palmswell allows both the youngster with small hands and the brawniest of hands to comfortably shoot. For those with small hands, simply turn the slingshot around backwards, and the palmswell creates a good fit for kids and ladies. Shot with the maker's mark facing the the shooter, one has the option of any popular grip style.
The glass filled nylon construction provides an extremely strong and durable frame, capable of withstanding heavy use and errant fork hits without fear of failure. The rubber overmold provides a warm and repeatable purchase on the slingshot, ensuring comfort and consistancy.
Capable of being fitted with any elastic available, the Scout provides adaptability and the opportunity to stick to just one slingshot, while experimenting with various elastics- from wrist rocket tubes to chained office rubber bands, the Scout can wear it all and shoot it well. The Scout comes banded with single layer .030" medical latex bands and SuperSure Bonded leather pouch, but can shoot whatever you want to put on it with minor do it yourself modifications.

Thanks!! The Scout can also handle any band that you have the strength to pull. There is nothing lacking in the strength department with The Scout, it is equally capable of hunting weight bands and ammo as any other slingshot on the planet. I would not have built it any other way.
We ship them with the bands at full length. A significant gain in velocity can be achieved by shortening the bands.
I have one of these.quite a nice slingshot very comfortable in the hand. I think the band is a bit light weight but I've ordered some proper gold band

That is a good question. Follow the instructions provided and you will not shoot the crap or any other bodily substance out of your hand.
They come fitted with .030" medical latex flatbands 7/8" wide. They may be shortened for more power.
The bands are quite powerful if cut to a shorter length than stock, and the latex is higher performing than Theraband Gold for the given taper.

Been thinking of getting one of these...one question. How do you not shoot the crap out of your hand using a sling shot? Or does it take practice to not do that?
I just ordered the scout. Will it come with the band connectors or do I need to order them separate?
montiegear's cattys are bloody nice for sure but your comparing apples with oranges.
Firstly the scout is around 2/3 cheeper making it affordable for many who don't have $100 for a slingshot. Secondly the scout won't ding as easily as machined alloy and is designed so you could throw it in the ute or leave it out side for a year with very little effect if any, a new set of bands and shes ready to go. I wouldn't do that with montiegear's Y frame.

Probably because all of the sexy curves and sultry lines that teases its industrial looking frame into a frothing frenzy of jealousy. The bands are what makes a slingshot more capable than the next, the frame has very little to do with it.
