  • In this episode, we took a trip over to Epiphone HQ and sat down with the legend Scott Aisenbrey of Epiphone. Scott is the Director of Operations and a wealth of knowledge. We talk with him about the history of Epiphone as well as what's upcoming for them. 2019 is going to be a big year for Epiphone!
As a bonus we spent some time with Will Jones aka Dr. Epiphone in the big room getting a tour of some of the current line and also took a peak at the largest collection of historic Epiphone guitars.
We love the crew over at Epiphone and had a blast spending some time with them.

I hadn’t played guitar in 25 years and when my wife died I picked up a 50’s Gold top and it was soo good I picked up a 60’s Bourbon burst and it was soo good I drove about an hour to our closest GC where I played 3 Gibson Les Pauls and can now imagine paying $2,999 for a Gibson 🤦🏻‍♂️

I'll be turning 50 this year and never owned a quality guitar before and I've been playing since I was 14

I own a 92 Gibson SG Special, and a 74 Gibson Les Paul Custom both purchased used in the 90s (original models, not reissue), but I have to admit that my 2020 Epiphone Casino Coupe is better built, better finished and probably better sounding than my older guitars. And it has definitely a better neck!

Epiphone guitars are a superior insterment as far as i am concerned. Great sound quality ect. First epiphone i bought sold me own two and no other brand. This is rare to luck out with this brand and finding out its a awsome guitar so much to say.

The last few years I've seen Epiphone quality improve leaps and bounds.I've played many. My Epi Les Paul Custom in Cherry Sunburst was killer! I part traded it for a newer Les Paul 1960 Tribute in Black Cherry with Gibson wiring ,pots and Classic /57 pickups it's amazing!

I started playing at 12 and I’m now 52. I’ve played many great Gibsons and plenty of bad ones especially guitars made in the 90’s. The clear coat would literally flake off the guitars on the stand. Out of the box they would be pure crap.

Epiphone goes waaaaay back with a Greek luthier .. those gtrs behind u? They’re REAL gtrs .. Jazz .. every bit as good as Gibson. I’m Jazz-biased .. hollow hand-carved archtops is where it’s at 4 me
