I met Gary the morning after we lost the final in Kyiv. He gave me a selfie while getting on the club bus. A living legend and wonderful person. Sometimes meeting your heroes is good 👍

@Nite-owl Didi Hamann? 😂😂😂 The Klopp hater, you do know he has a long running fued with Klopp and will say anything to cause sh*t? Klopp slammed him during a press conference last season, Didi is a pr*ck. George the stadium announcer released a book, Mona the nutritionalist released a book, are they all narcissistic? Well I have met Pep a few times and I see George 6 or 7 times a season heading to his control booth from the car park and they are kind, genuine and have a lot of time for fans. More and more fans want Pep in go, and see the comments after his interview with the club channel. Klopp has showered praise on him and rightly so. He has played a huge part in our success and has worked with Klopp for 8 years. He is easily the best candidate for me and am glad so many others feel the same.

@andylambert3618 Fortunately a lot of our fans seem to be thinking Pep would be a good choice now. The fact his assistant would be Matos who has worked closely with the academy is another plus. The latest coming from FSG is they are going to look more at data rather than go with sentiment, not sure whether that's good or bad?!

I never want to see Gerrard manage Liverpool. We are sentimental FC wanting ex players who aren't very good. Pep Lijnders should be the next manager and reading Liverpool pages more and more want him next.

Why would you want the guy that released a book about "Intensity", whilst still at the club? It shows a distinct lack of respect to me, not to mention a touch narcissistic. It's the sort of thing you do once you've left and moved elsewhere. "Dietmar Hamann said 'alarm bells' should be ringing."

Gary doesn't want to take his girls to Saudi. No wonder. We have no rights there. Right decision, but speaking out against their regime is the right thing to do, mind. He didn't do that. What a surprise. Gerrard also lacked the moral fortitude to do that, but he went further. Shame. X

Stevie G was a great player but is hopeless as a manager. Even worse he chased the $$$ in Saudi over his own development.

  • @bendenton580

'They" were just not good enough. You were there at the time sam (we') so you also weren't good enough as a manager. Cant completely absolve all liability. Admittedly only there for a handful of games i would rather have had gary Macalister in charge. So glad we have a decent manager now, sam played no strikers and six defenders to keep us up on last game. Dropped rutter to the reserves, look at him now.
