- Ever been pleasantly surprised by a Roller Coaster which has been subjected to obscene slanderous hate? Or been heavily underwhelmed by an ABSOLUTE GOD TIER Coaster, which is countlessly regarded as the second coming of Christ?
In this video I share my own personal opinions on some of the most underrated and overrated Roller Coasters I've been on. And also check out some of your controversial opinions too!

For me i feel like galactica is really underrated for me. smooth, fun and flying over the plaza and queue is fun.
Overrated: Stealth- Too short, launch just doesn't feel good for me and it always has a massive queue.

Sadly eggs are a bit unreliable and break quite often but they deserve the queues they get at my number 1 theme park Tesco and it's only pay per ride. Thanks for giving egg the love it deserves!

Underrated: Revolution at BPB
Yeah it's not the smoothest coaster in the world but you go from strong airtime to strong positive g-forces in an instant before doing it all backwards.
Overrated: Lost Gravity at Walibi Holland
Lost gravity is fun but it's nothing amazing. I like the theme, the inversions and the airtime hills but the ride is so rattily. Also, I don't know if It's just me but the restraints were a lot tighter on my thighs in comparison to other Mack coasters like Icon or Blue Fire. Then again I have only had one ride on it so I may have just got unlucky.

Great stuff bud 👌🏼well with you on Rita . We got a walk on once (rare ) we unfortunately found out there was a greenfly bloom happening. When we got back we looked like Dash off the incredibles when he runs through the flies 😳🪲🪲🪲🪲🤢🤣🧱👍🏼

Busch Gardens Tampa is my home park and I agree with you on Cheetah Hunt. I think while a good ride, it is fairly meandering with only a few strong sections. Great video!

I feel like I have to take you on a trip to my home parks Efteling, Toverland and Walibi, you like GCI’s and RMC we got you covered!
Overrated: saw the ride - I know a lot of people rate this coaster as one of the best in the uk because of the theming. The theming is good but it’s just too rough nowadays and it now takes away from the overall ride experience and I just don’t enjoy it now.
Underrated: expedition Everest- the ride itself is a family coaster so it doesn’t provide the thrills that other coasters in Orlando do such as mako or manta but the theming is second to none. It’s definitely up there as the best themed rollercoaster in the world (along with hagrids) and it doesn’t get the love it deserves because Orlando just has so much going on and it’s often overlooked or overshadowed by other rides in the area

I've always been of two minds with Rita, on the one hand, it's an eyesore, they just plonked it ontop of ugland with barely a care that it wouldn't fit the theme and while the Dark Forests theme is better integrated it still feels like it doesn't belong there. Then, while it accelerates quickly, it doesn't reach the speed of Oblivion so barely seems worth the effort. On the other hand, I still find it a fun ride with a decent launch and nice layout.
I also remember once being in the queue talking about how fast it goes and a guy pipes up saying his bike goes faster, and I realised peoples perspectives lead them to unfairly critique things. Rita is good at what it does, even if what it does isn't to everyone's taste.
I definitely agree that Rita doesn't deserve as much flack as it gets, most underrated ride at Towers

I loved some Roller Coasters that are smooth. But some, and that was causing me to dislike some Overrated coasters. By the way, nice video ScrewyLoops! 👍👍👍

Overrated: SAW: the ride at Thorpe park
It has some very good theming but the roughness is just bad, gave me a headache afterwards but i still like the ride
Underrated: Revolution at Blackpool pleasure beach
It is very intense for such a small layout and it goes backwards into the one loop. And it is a smooth ride for its age, it may be short but it is really fun.
I agree with the Magnum one. It hurts my thighs to ride. The airtime and layout would be fun if it didn’t leave me in pain.

Underrated - Spinball Whizzer (Alton Towers)
Overrated - Vampire (Chessington: World of Adventures)
This is why we love screwy loops. First thing we get is why eggs are the most underrated food item. Comedy gold
I agree I went to towers for the first time and Rita was the best coaster I've ever been on but didn't do smiler or oblivion got a merlin pass so going to thorpe park and going to get on stealth how much would you say stealth is a lot more intence. Also I love your channel
I actually find Rita to be a little more intense than Stealth, but Stealth has got the quicker launch and the height so it's much more intimidating 🙂👍 Thank you so much!! ☺️

Underrated: The Odyssey. Odyssey packs a big punch in that drop and that loop is massive! so much airtime in the drop
Overrated: Galactica, I guess galactica is ok but its just... slow?

Went on Rita yesterday, and while I agree it's underrated the launch does not feel nearly as fast as Stealth's
That's true, I just find the initial acceleration just as quick 🙂👍 like it still has that punch! 💥

Underrated-Galactica, It was the prototype, which no one appreciates, it has a great layout and you are on your back for ages
Overrated-Taron, layout does nothing, yes the second launch is good but the rest is just dogwater. It lacks any good elements and it has no inversions

Agreed! It astounds me how many people hate Saw, i love it. To be fair I may be biased, as a huge fan of the film franchise, but I find the ride really fun...and taking newbies on it and not telling them about the first drop is always fun.
Grand National is underrated in my opinion. Airtime Machine but to be honest I did get 2 backrows on it last time I visited

I really like Cheetah Hunt. I don't think it has to be intense as there are plenty of other intense rides at Busch Gardens. Really good package.

Stormrunner is my #1 favorite rollercoaster that I've been on. It's short, but there isn't a dull moment on the ride.
Overrated rollercoaster: Goliath at Six Flags Great America. It was overhyped at launch. The dispatch time is extremely long for how short the layout is, and the only thing that makes it feel any different from Raging Bull is the ejector airtime and the two inversions. For how long the wait time used to be it was almost not worth riding it.
(also, SF Great America is my local park, so my opinion may be a bit more harsh than most people's).

Underrated:
Wickerman
Colossus
Galactica
Speed
Kumali
Odyssey
The Swarm ( my favourite in the UK, that's why 😆)
Overrated:
SAW ( need a neck brace after riding it)
Thirteen ( not re rideable imo)
Nemesis Inferno ( I found it a bit force less, but a fun ride so meh, idk.)
I think th13teen is really underrated but I think it's great it's got great themeing and a really nice layout!
Thirteen is very busy ride and gets 100 minute waits a lot
Overrated: Apollo's Chariot, such a forceless rollercoaster just feels like you are going through the motions.
Underrated: Behemoth, gets overshadowed by Leviathan but if it was at any park that doesn't have an extreme coaster it would be regarded as an epic ride.
Behemoth looks amazing to be fair!!
Coaster Express is criminally overrated. It never appears on the list of worst & roughest coasters!

I'm not a massive rita fan but I will say that the launch Is the best launch in the UK hands down. Also you know what else is underrated? Infusion.
infusion is the worst UK coaster for me. my head was violently smashed against the restraint

Also underrated: stormchaser at paultons park best spinning coaster carts ive seen very good layout (clone of sierra sidewinder) all packed into the best themed area in the uk

My underrated/overrated:
Underrated: roller coaster at Great Yarmouth pleasure beach. Second drop is bliss, and those final hills are decent floater/flojector.
Overrated: milly, kind of flat apart from the first drop
Overrated: I somehow find that Oblivion is a bit overrated but i haven't ridden than many coasters so i haven't got many coasters i think that are overrated! :D

I genuinely think Oblivion is still the best dive coaster out there after 23 years. Sure there's much taller and longer models out there but Oblivion's black hole, vertical drop and insane 90s drum and bass theme make it stand tall
Underrated: ThunderBolt at Kennywood
Overrated: Lightening Racer at Hershey Park
I have to be honest but when I rode the Swarm at Thorpe Park I was a bit underwhelmed, I think it is a bit overrated (controversial, I know). In my opinion, beyond the first drop and zero g-roll, it was a bit 'dull'. It was just very forceful but, for me, had no 'WOAH' moment (which is what I personally tend to look for in a coaster). I can see why people enjoy it, it just didn't blow me away.
I honestly thought the next episode would be about David Williams so I was gonna make a joke that raj’s bouncy bottom burp would challenge nemesis but no :(

Overrated: Lightning Racer at Hersheypark
People seem to be in two camps when it comes to Lightning Racer, Fun and smooth, or boring and smooth. I think it's boring and kind of rough. It has a few good pops of airtime, and laterals, but it wasn't anything special, and while not as rough as wildcat, it still jackhammerd a bit. I thought the parks 75 yr old woodie was much smoother than this.
Underrated: Grizzly at Kings Dominion
I've heard a couple people say that this ride is great, but most of the small amount of things said about this coaster are just okay. Some people even hate this ride for being rough. KD is my home park and I ride this all the time. The best part about this coaster is that I'm able to get buzz bar levels of room on my restraint, and I get standing airtime. The ride is rough, it's a fun kind of rough. It also has great laterals, pacing, and near misses. Besides one really bad transition, the ride was great. The ride is getting retracked, so that transition shouldn't be bad anymore. I'm do Kings Dominion opening day this year, so I'll see how it's running then.

The smiler gets a lot of hate for the roughness in the back row. It is a very controversial ride but in my opinion the theming is amazing not to mention the 14 inversions and all that crammed into the tiny black hole space and making it the most compact coaster on the planet. I do not think it’s overrated as it still gets a lot of hate.

The Smiler is overrated but it deserves it! It's an absolutely amazing coaster with excellent theming and a wonderful design. My favourite ride ever! 🥳🥺

Collosus at Thorpe Park is ridiculously underrated
I defend Rita with a burning passion. Except the poor queue design. Somebody give a kid a whiteboard pen.
the most underrated rollercoaster of all time is Galactica. Everyone keeps banging on about Manta but i have never been to America
Overrated: Oblivion. It's a one trick pony, yes it does that trick well but there are just so many better well rounded coasters at Towers.
Underrated: Cobra. This coaster is just really fun, what else can I say.

It’s really fun and gets some pretty good airtime for a junior coaster
Crazy loop at brean theme park in Brean
It gets some pretty good airtime and does get you pretty scared
Shockwave at Drayton manor in Tamworth
A really fun fast and scary stand up roller coaster that gets some great airtime
Accelerator at Drayton manor in Tamworth
This is a really fun coaster that goes backwards as well

Rita would be good if it wasn't for those awful restraints. It still wouldn't be anything special but at least it wouldn't hurt lol. Same with Stealth.

I don't think Rita is in the league of the SWs and tbh I can't even ride anymore as she's so painfully rough and just not worth the headache.
I feel like drayton manor Shockwave is underated its shortest one out of the 94 rides but it packs a punch not gonna lie I prefer it to nemesis but I prefer big one to both of them
