Fabulous to see the improvements you have made. She’s looking really smart 😊
Good vlog Wayne and a Lovely boat. Karndean flooring is brilliant. I had it in my house. Hope you’re both well. See you at Crick. 😊
We are. Looking forward to Crick. See you there. 👍🏻
Hi Wayne and Amanda and of course little one. I think your boat is one of the best I've seen. I love the open plan and she is just lovely ❤

Thank you Lesley - you’re very welcome. x
Thanks for the tour, it is a nice layout and looks really nice . the double glazed windows sound like a plus by being warmer and no condensation.., great idea i have heard from my cousin that is one thing he did and said it was the best up-grade he had done on his boat. You have a very nice home to be proud of. Ed 40 S of Vegas
Thanks Ed. 👍🏻. Yes the windows were a great upgrade. Is your cousin on a narrowboat?
Lovely home you have there, and we have seen it first hand! See you soon xx ❤️
Looking forward to seeing you guys again. X
@@nbspudley ❤️
Great video. You have got a beautiful boat 🙂
Cheers mate 👍🏻
For some reason, CZcams has not been notifying me of your videos and I've missed a whole bunch! I'll check my settings, but even with notifications on, I find the "notification" actually a bit spotty. Anyway, great to have a nose around the boat.
Glad you enjoyed it Justine. X
Looks like a very nice boat. Very livable - and that is the most important thing. It looks very smart too, but that comes second to me. I've seen tours of boats at shows with some very fancy designs that look lovely but I wouldn't want them.
Did you have a stove on your previous boat and if so was it diesel or solid fuel. If solid fuel, what were the key factors for choosing a diesel one for Spudley? I'm trying to work out why people choose to run a diesel stove instead of the diesel central heating (if going diesel).
Hi & thanks. Great question Our previous boat also had a lockgate stove - we loved it - simple, gravity fed, controllable & clean so that’s why we chose it for Spudley too. We also have a n eberspacher diesel heater. There’s a full video of the stove & running it on our channel. Have a look at the walkthrough of Aecern too - it’s on our channel also 👍🏻
Just subscribed, great vlog and boat tour! We have a similar boat and I was interested in the lock mechanism that you have in it, would it be possible to show me any pictures of it please?
Hi. Glad you liked it. When you say lock; dya mean on the rear doors, front doors, semi trad doors, lock gate stove ….? Email us from the link on our channel- happy to help. BTW - have subscribed back 👍🏻
Great video and very interesting to see, good ideas for storage too. Love the frame with the pics of spudley being built etc so may punch that idea if you dont mind? How do you fix such a large frame on sloping sides so that its still flush if thats not a silly question please? X
Thanks Kerry x It is clips either on the side or behind. Will text you a picture.
What a beautiful boat. It looks so homely. Where did you live before buying the boat and what made you decide to live on one. Hope you don’t mind me asking.
Thank you. We lived in a cottage in the countryside in north Warwickshire. Our plan was retire early & get a little place in France but brexit made that whole thing so much more complicated. We’d always done watery things in the past like sailing, water skiing & windsurfing & had caravans & motorhomes so knew we could live in smaller spaces & we started watching narrowboat vlogs & decided it was for us.
Hi folks, what a very nice layout. Love the changes you have made to Spudley. So, Wayne, I will be coming to the UK to look at boats in August. ( Just finished 2weeks in Ireland)... I am asking around for recommendations for good brokers that I may like to visit. What may be your suggestions? And thank you for your input. Freddie
Thanks Freddie. I would Definitely recommend ABNB at north kilworth which is where we bought Spudley from. Wilton has a good reputation & we sold our first boat Aecern to them. Nice people to deal with. Those two are only 30 minutes drive apart too. We didn’t have a good experience with the brokers who sold us Aecern- that was new & used boats. Hope you find what you’re looking for. 👍🏻
Interested in your washing machine. Can I ask where you got it and how is it plumbed in if at all! Thank you Mandy nb Happy Days
Hi Mandy - the make is Giantex. It came with our previous boat Aecern & it was so good we kept it when we bought Spudley. It’s cold water only - it doesn’t heat water so that means it doesn’t use a huge amount of power. You can add a kettle of water to it if you want it warm. It’s big enough for towels & bedding & there are 3 water settings in it regarding how much water it uses depending on if you’re washing loads are big or small. I’ve just found an updated model on Amazon if you search Giantex washing machine. We have a pipe & valve plumbed to the cold water supply under the kitchen sink & just attach it when we use the washer & open the valve. When we’ve done close the valve & detach hose. It works great for us. 👍🏻
@@nbspudley Hi both . Thank you so much we are now on our way to purchasing one thanks to you. Happy travels xxx
@@mandylewis9870 if we can help in any way please don’t hesitate to ask. 😊
@@nbspudley You offered! Did you have to buy any special fittings for the cold water pipe and if so where did you get them from? Would you be able to take photo of the fittings the next time you use it? We have been debating washing machines for over a year and your recent vlog solved our dilemma. If we see you about will come and say thank you. Xxx
