    Desert storm vet here. I am one of the lucky ones to get a full GWI diagnosed from the va. My horrible health started when I got back. I’m now 100% sc P&T with a list too long to state here. We were exposed. I was in theatre in the al-wafra and al-burquan oil fields during the ground assault and we were in a toxic soup. This is fact, one of my best friends who was On the front just outside of Kuwait and he swears to this day that he saw chem and bio markers littering up the map board and said damn!, they are using chemical weapons on my brothers up north. We look good from the outside but inside we are Mitch older then we look

    I was their in 90-91. Why so few views and comments? I don't understand. I know I've been experiencing symptoms ever since but little or no help. Gulfwar is rarely ever even mentioned if ever.

    I was deployed to Kuwait/Jordan in 2017/2018. Towards the end of my deployment i start experiencing stomach pain in my abdomen, followed by nausea and fatigue. I went to Sick Call for the symptoms i was having, but i was only given medications. The pains continued to come and go after i got home from deployment, but my pride wouldn't let me go see a doctor. In November of 2019 i was hospitalized for a GI Bleed. I had symptomatic blood loss which made me Anemic. Doctor's diagnosed me with Ulcer Disease. Is it possible for me to file Gulf War Illness, or should i take a different route?

    Thanks for the video I didn't catch it live but enjoyed it after. Super short my story, I was with the 101st during the Gulf War 90/91 was in Saudi Arabia and Iraq had the anthrax shot in Saudi Arabia also had the p b pills over a two month time. I didn't start showing any symptoms until around 2007 when I started having dizzy spells and headaches that later turn into migraines in 2015 I started having seizures I had my driver's license taken away from me and I also started having really bad migraines as well is difficulty breathing, arterial fibrillation high blood pressure joint pain as well as some ever problems including depression. I got out of the military in 92 also in 92 I started a job as a over-the-road truck driver with Schneider National I continue that job until 2015 when they took my driver's license away the company had to let me go I started medical treatment at the VA in Tampa they had me take the Gulf War examination I also made a claim in March of 2015 with the help of the local DAV in Dade City Florida that claim is in the NOD part now I think it should be coming up for a decision soon I am currently taking Gemfibrozil for cholesterol Metoprolol and Amlodipine for my aterial fibrillation high blood pressure, and Valproic Acid for my seizures and migraines. I won't bash the VA too much they have been pretty good about treating my symptoms but whenever I say I think I have Gulf War syndrome the doctors get really defensive and say no I don't I point out I have a lot of the symptoms they say no I don't ask why they simply say you just don't it's like the VA culture is Gulf War syndrome is a curse word you better not say it because they don't like to hear it they just don't believe anyone has it I believe it's because the money

      I think I heard that the VA has around 200000 vets claiming basically Gulf War syndrome if they approved everyone and paid around $3000 per month that is 600 million per month to vets. I'm sure the doctors at the VA are basically told that the VA would have to make huge cuts if they ever started approving Gulf War vets. Translated the doctors wouldn't get pay raises might even get pay cuts maybe even cuts in staff, so they deny until they die

      Go on FB and find the group
      GULF WAR ILLNESSES
      they have a lot of good info on all the symptoms that affect us and on how to file a claim for GW related illnesses.
      Also, ask your Dr at the VA to give you a referral to WRIISC (War Related Illness and Injury Study Center); there are 3 in the US and they are part of the VA.

      It started in 2007 for me too I know it’s from anthrax vaccine. The VA wouldn’t diagnose me with gulf war illness even though I was diagnosed with CFS/ME in 2008. I have migraines, muscle ache, joint ache, hips ache, knees ache, high blood pressure, orthostatic intolerance, hypothyroidism, depression, anxiety, light sensitivity, sound sensitivity, dizziness, digestive problems, memory problems, can’t multi task, HHV6A, HHV4 etc. my doctor took my pain meds which were two soma a day which wasn’t enough so I could sleep at night so I asked for three. She said I was addicted and took it away cold turkey not even tapering off. She’s a heartless bitch in her 70’s now soon to retire. She’s been my doctor for twelve years and she fucked me because of the war on opioids. Pain patients are left to rot by the politicians. I’m sure the politicians get their pain meds without a problem. I’m bedridden now without soma and officially don’t givafuk. I see a new doctor to replace the bitch that could care less about pain patients and more about lining her pockets. I don’t know how I’m still alive with all these symptoms it’s not worth living. I’m in Texas so we can’t legally use MMJ because Texas has to be the bastion of conservatism so pain patients have no options. Can’t have opioids or MMJ. The government wants to off ourselves and lots of people are doing that because of the opioid war. This country is pure evil.....

    Just wondering if its too late to file a claim, I was in Khamisiyah, Iraq and the oil fires. I have always had multiple symptoms but was too proud to ask the VA for help. At one time I remember receiving a letter stating that I was in the area and and if I have no problems then too ignore letter. My civilian doctors tend to brush off my concerns when I ask if my symtoms are connected to the gulf.

      Hello @Donald Lohr, it is never too late to file a claim if you believe a condition you have was caused by military service. We recommend working with a Veterans Service Organization, who provide free claims help to vets, such as our colleagues at the Disabled American Veterans

    • @rblightchild
      @rblightchild Před 4 lety +3

      Hi Donald, its never too late to file and you should file sooner than later, dont put it off like i did, do it for yourself and your family, keep fighting brother !! Because you have symptoms and the letter you can connect to service and thats what it takes, especially if your symptoms no one can seem to pinpoint why you have them. Wishing you the best of luck with your claim. Like they mentioned, start with your vso, ask them the questions. they are there to help. i was able to get a psych eval online and some other stuff for my anxiety disorder. I hope you get the help you need. We all feel too proud , thats why we were soldiers, we were taught that , just ignore it and drive on. Its time you get the help you need and the compensation you deserve.

And like I said it’s saved the government a lot of money was a big cover-up look into it even the army knows they put it in one of their papers but the veterans who want to give you your benefits pretend they don’t know! Sad!

    Have brain tumors been recognized as a consequence of GWII?

    • @CCK_Law
      @CCK_Law  Před 4 lety +1

      Hello @Freedom Creek Outdoors. VA does not presume brain tumors are associated with GWII service. Veterans who believe their condition is caused by military service, but not covered under a presumption, must prove a link between the condition and military service.
