There's only one single pond in the entire DLC they spawn in, it'd be the only place to hunt.

Unfortunately this spot is only good at night as Mankey spawn relentlessly alongside it during the day.

I went to the wet cave where you can hunt goomy and that turned out to be a good place, it's the only fighting type there, I actually found the shiny.
