Thor leaving with the Guardians in Endgame made us so excited for future movies and the future of the MCU as a whole⊠Him abandoning the Guardians within the first few minutes of the movie just shows that, like with Star Wars, Disney Marvel has no idea where theyâre going with Phase 4⊠I donât even know what theyâre building up toâŠ
Why did you think they would be in the whole movie? I already saw it coming that they were only in the first act. I would have loved to see an adventure but Vol. 3 coming soon I knew they wouldnt have stuck around..besides they need to look for 2015 Gamora

After James Gunn's firing and subsequent rehiring the entire franchise has been a giant ???
Korg literally explains that they went on tons of missions together throughout that time between Endgame and Love and Thunder. Were you not listening? Thatâs the reason why he loses weight, he also feels upset that heâs leaving âhis crewâ with Starlord at the beginning, hence showing that heâs been with them for good while to form a relationship with them for him to miss them.
Because hack producers like Victoria Alonso are steering the ship now. They don't give a fuck about story or character.
People need to stfu bout disney "ruining" shit literally disney has own marvel studios since iron man 1 meaning everything after that was "disney" also beside the sequal movies everything disney has done for star wars has been relatively fantastic mandolorian, obi wan, finished the clone wars, rebels was alright. Recently disney just bought dragon ball everyone was worried I was really excited cause then finally they may be able to fix the series or have an actual good live action movie.
Hulk and Loki brought a lot to Ragnarok something Love Thunder was missing big time.
I think korg and valkyrie and stormbreaker are a good trio. Lol
What? Both were comedic sidekicks.
@@SAGERUNE Korg was great, "King" Valkeryie was kinda cringe and she had no place in a fight between actual gods.
Nope. Hulk was forever ruined by Ragnarok. That was the arc that was supposed to start the most impactful and drastic of all of Hulk's arcs, the World War Hulk series. And they terminated all hopes that that ever happening by turning Hulk into a joke, which he remains in all the following movies.
Thor was missing Loki
I just saw this and left saying, "wtf did I just watch." This movie is all over the place.
The gold blood is actually accurate to real greek mythology. Itâs shocking that they got that part right đ
So annoyed how they portrayed the Greek God's. They are my favorite pantheon, and they didn't go Into them or or any of the other gods. It was just Luke, hey look everyone zues is wearing a dress and is a cringey fuck. The master bolt looked so dumb too. At least the Percy Jackson movies made it look cool.

The fact they kept dragging out the goat joke throughout the whole movie drove me insane. It was annoying the second time and it just kept going
I knew some people were going to absolutely hate that. But I gotta be honest, I laughed every time. Maybe I was just in the right mood when I saw it, but it always made me laugh.
Most people I've talked to loved the goats, I've even heard people say it was their favourite joke in the film.
It was funny for like the first 2 times. But when you want me to care for a character struggling with terminal cancer and the metaphysical implications of higher beings allowing bad things to happen, and then you cut to goats screaming, I gotta ask who tf this movie is being made for. Its tonally deaf asf.
The writers are obviously so out of touch and outdated that they actually not only included a decade old internet meme but made it a pivotal running joke in the entire film. I cannot stress enough how literally no one in my theater laughed when they showed up or when they were on the screen. I actually had second hand embarrassment for whoever thought it'd be a good idea to write them into the film. People only laughed at the one scene where they crash into the planet and the goats scream. That's it.
When the goats crashed into the stadium my friend sitting next to me said âwhat the fuckâ
I donât why but it kinda sold me on it. Itâs just so fucking ridiculous it worked for me
Eternity seems so trivial. Thor and Jane get there easily using the powers of either Zeusâ bolt, or Valkyrieâs unexplained orange portal travelling, and sensibly Stormbreaker could also be used for this. Why has nobody made it there yet? Did it never occur to anybody in Asgard or anywhere else that they could easily get there and make their wish if they acquired the bifrost. Why didnât Thanos use it? Why didnât anybody in Endgame use it to repair all the damage?
I assume that you needed portable bifrost to hit it at an angle that the bifrost bridge might not because it worked like a space station before rather then a direct hit from storm breaker just guess.
Easy explanation is that Marvel hadn't thought of it yet.
I didn't like Endgame with the resolution being simply time travel. Just felt really lazy to undo Thanos purge.
The explanation is simple: retcon
It wasnt written in at the time cuz they still had standards, this is like hot sauce.
This movie just says shut up nerd....and I'm here for it. As if anything before wasn't just a complex Mcguffin to be a vague fancy obstacle to move characters from A to B
Alex disappointed me today....he must be in a great mood đđđ
With everything that's going on in the MCU right now, it makes absolutely zero f'ing sense that there is no cure for cancer at this point. lmao
zoom across galaxies but cant cure cancer
Mjolnir is basically the cure for cancer in a hammer but whatever fucking reason they decided to make it "kill" her instead. So dumb.
They really need to explain how cancer is tougher to study then time travel and shrinking yourself the size of a molecule.
Yeah , Thor could have just asked for help from Dr Strange , or Bruce Banner.
One of the main issues I have with the MCU is this whole interpretation of gods. Like, the Asgardianâs in the MCU are seen as gods because thatâs a humanâs perspective, so who is Gorr specifically targeting? Just random powerful races?
I also wondered about this. The first Thor movie clearly stated that Asgardians are not gods, but a very advanced, long lived and powerful race, yet they are still mortal and have limits. I guess that goes for all the other god races too, they are just superior. Although it starts getting fuzzy with the non humanoid and more spiritual gods, like the Egyptian ones from Moon Knight.
@@davidmedina8136 in the comics they are all the same, actual gods, the mcu at first started grounded so they changed thors origen, the whole alien thing was pretty generic in my opinion, if they dont want to make them gods, then dont bother to introduce them, use other characters
I think that Gorr is targeting people seen as gods. People who have a following or a religion surrounding them.
I guess anyone that's taken the mantle of being a civilisations god and therefore has set themselves up as an omnipotent saviour is his target.
Honestly MCU has been pretty lackluster post Endgame. Hope it improves soon.
Spiderman is arguably one of the top 5 MCU movies. So they still have some magic left
Just give us fantastic 4 and X-men guys if itâs lackluster have them bring the big guns đȘ
Disagree completely....Wanda Vision, Loki, shang chi, no way home are some of the best things marvel has ever produced imo.
Falcon and winter solider, moon knight, eternals, what if , were great.
Hawkeye, ms marvel and black widow were fun but average imo.
And doctor strange MOM and Thor 4 were the disappointments imo of course.

@@publicaccess7417 it was unbalanced in this one
i just don't get why they went with somebody as menacing and gruesome as Gorr who's main story is pretty mature and decided to throw him into a primarily rom-com movie setting. The tonal shift was just too off key to do the character justice in my opinion. Should've went with Enchantress and somebody like Ulik instead and saved Gorr for an actual action packed movie.
I agree. Also marvel still has not learned their lesson when it comes to villains, they keep taking great villains from the comics and making them one offs. It would be cool to some villains return from time to time. Like honestly gorr was hardly in this film he only really had a few scenes. Gorr is such an interesting villain and thereâs so much more they couldâve done with him and I didnât like his humanized design. He looks way cooler in the comics
@@jeremyroberts8822 I thought they was going to have him start out as human but then the longer the necrosword symbiote grows on him the more he would start to lose his humanity and look like the monster he is in the comics into the next movie
@@jeremyroberts8822 Real shit. For me Age of Ultron was the biggest disappointment. One, heâs my favorite villain and that they couldâve done so much with him, and have him return like he does in the comics, but like you said the MCU has a problem with bringing in villains and killing them off.
Because no matter how much all the nerds don't want to admit it Disney makes movies for families and children you're never getting r-rated comic book movies directly from Disney and don't mention Deadpool
@@aarojpoll I'm completely fine with not getting an r-rated comic book movie from them. That's not my issue. My issue is more so including a character like Gorr, who's whole thing is he wants to kill every god and has slaughtered entire pantheons of them and he's used in a rom-com movie. Using him means the folks who know of him or look up info on him before the movie are gonna expect some level of violence revolving him and that's not what we got.
Gor's comic book story line was epic and thought provoking. Jane Foster Thor in the comics was pretty deep as well.

@@Echidna23Gaming Eh.
I understand that the MCU wants to diversify their projects and give directors the chance to bring their own style, but there seems to be a loss of connective identity. I'm not saying I want cameo galore in each project, I just want progression. Like if they had post credit scenes setting up the next big bad or a big event like Secret War, then things might feel more impactful.
"and give directors the chance to bring their own style,"
Nope. That is not at all what they want to do.
At this point, I just want well written characters and stories. I'd rather see a 25 million dollar Daredevil movie that is more courtroom drama than another "MCU" film. There is no heart in them anymore, it's just "content" now. I know they were always made for money, but the first Avengers, first Iron Man etc. are going to be the films people remember. The Phase 4 stuff, not so much.
Shang chi and eternals set something up, but eternal's set up was weak. And Shang-chi hasn't built on that yet
@@Bonesawisready926 that's another thing, the writing has been off for the past few projects. Except for Loki and Moon Knight I haven't really gone back to rewatch any of the phase four projects.
They've definitely lost that thread. 1 of the Russo's said it best in an interview. Marvel has no plan. They got extremely lucky they made a few good hires, who actually care about story and continuity. It's only becoming more and more clear in "Phase 4" with every release.
@@JamesWick99 Even Loki and Moon Knight had issues. For Loki, the fight scenes were trash, there was a bait and switch with the female Loki and it takes no time for him to take a secondary role in the story after her introduction. For Moon Knight, that trash CGI and emasculation of the Moon Knight character bothered me. Though Oscar Isaac is a fantastic actor.
There's also just been a lot of fucked morality in Phase 4. I liked the first half of Wandavision, but when it's revealed how much she is torturing people for her own selfish desires, I just hate her as a character after that. They needed to go full House of M and portray her as completely mentally broken for me to buy that, and then the fact that other characters like Dr. Strange say she set things right? Are you kidding? She deserves to be put under the Raft for torturing an entire town of people.
Another example, how Walker is treated in Falcon and the Winter Soldier. If someone takes up a job YOU didn't want, you don't get to treat them like shit for doing it.
Phase 4 has just been weak, the "messaging" is getting more and more apparent. And it's obvious Disney isn't interested in telling good stories or giving us memorable characters. It's just "content" now.
I also totally agree about how the battle with gorr was severely underwhelming. In the comic books Thor the god butcher story line. One of the battles they have is present day Thor, past,Thor from the present and Thor from the future old king Thor. And they all fight gorr and lose . At one point you have present day Thor. Wielding to mealnears and the all black and its still not enough to fully kill gorr. So yes the fights definitely should have been better.
The run is the kinda of thing that forces your eyes open to it spectacle. This movie seem to be abit lacking.

He kidnapped the kids to draw the heroes to the realm where he was stronger. It's good to show a villain being a step ahead, makes them more intimidating.
I don't get people thinking what the film was lacking was more Gorr killing gods. That was well established, it would have just be CG action for the sake of it while the plot screeches to a halt. That's comic book films at their worst.

There are a lot of things that I would have done differently in this movie but one of the biggest things is I wouldnât have done the fake out with killing Korg. I just would have actually done it.
Korg was great in Ragnarok because of the contrast between his goofy nature and the depressing Sakaar. Same situation in Endgame but instead he is contrasting with and highlighting how depressed Thor is and how Thanos has affected him.
He isnât overused in either movie. In fact heâs used just a little less than the audience wants which is why he is a fan favourite character.
But in this movie he is overused. He also doesnât really have much of a purpose outside of comic relief. Which wouldnât be so bad except that across the board the jokes just arenât as funny in this movie. So killing him when it seemed like they did would have been a pretty big gut punch and would have given Thor the opportunity for a little more character development and to maybe see things from Gorrâs perspective:
Because Thor is a god that travels and adventures with mortals. The line between friendship and god worship from these mortals can be pretty blurry at times so having what is essentially one of his worshipers die under Thorâs watch could allow him to question if the Gods may in fact be the bad guys.
It came a point where it seems the only reason Korg was so prominent was because he is played by the director.
The part that didn't fit well for me was the kids. They seemed to be out of place the way they were used in the movie. Then they way they made too much a joke out of Zeus. We didn't get to see a really good drama between Thor and Zeus, instead we got like a 10 minute joke of dialogue between the two, you know should've made the movie more like his Gladiator movie, with a few jokes here in there would've been way better
If this was a DC movie ppl would say this movie is horrible. This movie was really BAD I donât even know why ppl like the action scenes arenât memorable the dialogue was horrible and the editing is shit. And Gorr was just talked about like show donât tell.

My favorite depiction of mythology in shows is Samurai Jack.
Especially the first episodes on how Aku was created and how Samurai Jack came to be.
6/10 for me
I wish that gorrâs final wish was for there to be an eternal reward for all mortals. That would have been profound and created a self contained story where Jane can die in peace. And when Jane said, âshe wonât be aloneâ
I was assuming that she would be in that very afterlife⊠I was too naive
There already is an afterlife (afterlifes) in the MCU though. Black Pantherâs spiritual world, the Field of Reeds in Moon Knight, and now Thorâs Love and Thunder confirms there is indeed a Valhalla in the post credits scene. That is their eternal reward.
Also, to guarantee an eternal reward for the all mortals no matter what kinda defeats the purpose of doing good to earn you your reward in the afterlife (itâs kinda how we get religious nuts who think simply believing in their religion is enough rather than practicing the good itâs supposed to teach them).
@@kyroo1052 all these afterlife mythologies are conditional still. Egyptian Mythology, your heart is weighed against your deeds. Valhalla you must die valiantly in battle.
The only reason Jane ended up there is because she was constantly battling Cancer for 6 months so she died valiantly in battle.
God exists in the marvel universe people still go to heaven.
I wish gorrs final wish was for Taika waititi to never be let near this movie and ruining one of, if not the best Thor comic run of all time(runs) as there were actually two runs with Gorr as in the second Loki resurrected Gorr.
One could argue we have religious nuts because they believe they have to act in a specific way to earn their place in the afterlife, as well as forcing everyone else to do the same
By the sounds of it they didn't do any justice to Gorr's character. For instance it wasn't simply his child dying that led him to this crusade against the gods it was how inhospitable his home world was, his mother, mate and children all died because of it and the gods refusal to help his people that were so devout to them.
Gorr is supposed to be so powerful that it takes 3 versions of Thor from different time periods including King Thor, with the Odinforce (one of the most powerful forces in the universe), to beat him and only because of a MacGuffin/deus ex machina.
SPOILERS
Gorr takes on 2 Thors and Valkyrie simultaneously in the film and wins pretty easily, he's definitely insanely powerful. But from what I've heard the comics are all about Gorr being this force that creates heaps of dread. That's not what this film plays into, it's a Waititi film through and through, much more about comedy.
@@telltellyn 3 versions of Thor as in Young Thor (from about 800 A.D.), Avenger Thor and King Thor. He fought all 3 at the same time and left them for dead.
It doesn't really give any credit to this version of Gorr beating Jane Foster Thor since she is new to the role so it's not like she has centuries of fighting experience unlike the others. So basically this Gorr manages to beat a young young Thor (Jane Foster), Valkyrie and Avenger Thor.
It's really disappointing wasting his character like this especially when most comic book buffs agree that he'd easily beat Thanos. So he really should have been treated as at least Thanos level threat.
@@AZ-rl7pg I get being disappointed they didn't use a comic book villain as well as the source material. I really don't get criticism of the power level though, everyone's more powerful in the comics film what I hear. The point is that Gorr definitely was insanely powerful in this film.
@@telltellyn I mean even using MCU's power levels Avenger Thor is still just Avenger Thor but King (All-Father) Thor is his much older and much more powerful future self.
Beating Gorr should have required at least the same amount of effort as it took to beat Thanos, having to basically snap him out of existence to win.
I want to see Odinforce Thor in the next one. Not sure how well it would go on screen though.
Hey so âŠ. Whereâs the review of the last Boys episode
I think the post creditâs scene pretty much confirms that Thor is going to be killed off soon in a future movie because all his loss loved ones are there waiting for him.
OR they are all going to come back with the Dragon Ball's...anything can happen at this point.
No way they're keeping Mighty Thor in Valhalla, she's definitely coming back somehow through some bs
Nah they'll all come back
When Gorr first got the sword it gave him visions of Eternity, the wish, and needing the Bifrost. Though it does seem like him going to Asgard and seeing Thor use the Bifrost was a complete coincidence.
How does Thor's old hammer give Jane power? Remember when Odin asked Thor "Are you Thor God of Hammers?" it was his power not the hammer.
Because they are pulling from 3 retcons from the comics and can't settle on which one to stick with.
The hammer still has initial power to to it. Odin was just reminding Thor that he's more than just the hammer. Like how King Arthur was known for more than Excalibur, hes was known for his virtues and morality.

Gotta be honest, i'm not interested in seeing daddy Thor bringing up a young kid. I hope they time skip until she's a teenager at least, because I think they could do a lot with the humour there. Hopefully not as overdone as this movie.

Nope
Having watched my girlfriend go through cancer and chemo that part of the story hit me really hard and was trying not to cry in the theater during those moments.
In the original Story, Asgard does have the Tech/Magic to cure cancer and Thor offers it to Jane but she Refuses. Why? Something stupid about wanting to live and die as a Human.
Technology in this universe can make people go subatomic and travel through time, wizards can fix broken spines on a celular level. Terminal illnesses should not be a thing anymore lol.
im sure we all know what strange would say if jane visited him. the universe has its rules and everyone have their fate. if you save everyone from cancer you might as well save everyone from heart diseases and old age. next we need to call thanos because earth has 200 billion inhabitants
I was so disappointed with how Zeus was portrayed in this movie. After those scenes this movie really stopped being funny. The after the credit scene did a little to rectify, but I really hope the next Thor has a serious tone.
HahahaâŠyeah right. Serious tone is over.
Oh you mean like the smash hit Thor The Dark World was?
I thought the ending ruined any interest for his revenge story and really the Thor character in general.
I'm pretty sure that way comic accurate Zeus
@@ZinalaG59 no....like the smash hit INFINITY was was and how Thor was hair raising bad ass in that movie.
A movie made by a 7 year old director for 5 year olds. All the kids in my audience laughed at all the dumb kid jokes and none of the adults laughed at any of the adult oriented jokes. Thatâs all you need to know about this film.
honestly lighten up, what's bad about having fun and laughing at stupid jokes. Why do we have to take life so seriously. We already got the super serious Batman movie, which was so realistic I was questioning how he was wearing a bat suit and everyone is taking him seriously.
@@abdullahshah2830 because the mcu rarely takes things seriously and the formula is very repetitive, people claim infinity war to be the peak and that was quite a serious film, itâs not bad to have fun but when itâs a constant back and forth of serious to comedy it drags it down
All fiction is taken abit seriously despite we knowing it like triple fake but if you overdo it, it just completely destorys everything the movie has and may effect other movies.
Never understood the fascination with Waititi, he sucks, very overrated
@@abdullahshah2830 That's the thing, no one took him seriously, did you watch the film? The only people who took him seriously were Gordon and Selina. After the opening scene, all of the criminals and cops laugh at him and call him crazy for being dressed like a bat. It isn't until he starts kicking everyone's ass and solving crimes that they start to take him seriously by the end of the film. That aside, the jokes in this movie were braindead, so I guess the only thing bad about laughing at them would probably be you have the brain of a child.
A good snarky line that would have been good when he gave the kids the powers of Thor would have been, "Let's not tell your parents about this"
Or one of the kids telling their parents how they saved the day and the mom is like "Sure you did sweet."
Tbf tho, I'm sure the parents would love that their kids not only kicked ass, as they're a race of warriors, but they kicked ass alongside Thor, Asgard's rockstar, with Thor-infused power
loving the content man thanks for being a reliable source
One aspect from the comics I really couldn't get passed was the cancer issue with Jane. You're right that the movies might not have a way to cure it, but in the comics they definitely do. Her reason for not seeking those out? She just doesn't want to. She is sick of magic and gods and aliens, and just wants to beat it using good 'ol human science and medicine (not Fantastic Four science though; that doesn't count).
And at the same time she runs around using Thor's hammer to transform into a literal goddess to go fight dark elves and frost giants. Right...
Honestly the only criticism I have is that I want more of the less stuff we got. I wanted more Gorr, reason Gorr is iconic because of his motives and methods. We saw the motives we needed to see the method like I wanted him to slaughter everyone in the omnipotence. I wanted more Jane and Thor it honestly felt weak but it was strong on the end. What I wanted less of is the gags mainly the goats and the weapon acting like the cape. I seen this before it was fine for 2 times but not more.
I honestly feel the same way as Doctor Strange MOM, and before you attack me about it. Both faced the same problem which is a tonal difference. MOM is introduced as a horror but there was no horror also there suppose to be multiverse but no multiverse. Love and thunder introduces Gorr the God Butcher and any person that has the word "The" after the name is serious: Jack The Ripper, The Zodiac Killer, The Grabber. So you have this serious character that is doing messed up things but the entire movie is comedic.
What they did right was the characters of what we seen Christian Bale did amazing, loved the Jane conflict especially that mirror scene where it's just quiet, changing to monochrome was amazing, action was good no shaky cam. Gorr's look I agree with it, reason why he doesn't look like the comic version is for the audience to relate because guarantee if it look like squidward no one will care.
The movie didn't feel long that's what was good but I do feel they should have another 30 to 45 minutes for gorr and the dynamic my rating will go up.
I honestly think...they used the best jokes in the trailer that's just me.
Overall 7 out of 10.
I agree. I just re-read the god of thunder volume and honestly it's so much better. I was expecting them to focus on gorr but he was a tool to help Jane and thor find love. He was never the focus and was used as a bad guy
@@thecrimsongem7954 If someone doesn't do an entire movie focusing on Gorr's exploits now, then that's yet another great Marvel character ruined forever.

After watching it the movie felt cheesy. It was trying way too hard to be funny. They should have went with gorr's comic book design, and given him more screentime. @@joshuachristopher5181 I agree. I wish they would have shown gorr killing the gods. Like if he had shown up at that temple of the gods, and started murdering everyone showing how powerful he is.
Another thing that bugged me was gorr's motivation became pointless. At first it was to show he was goin on a rampage to kill gods, but later on he just wanted Thor's weapon to open up the gates of eternity to make a wish. It's like why didn't he go after Thor from the start.

This is flat out a bad movie, even if don't know the comics, everything just happens there no logic to anything, they break pre established rule, plot macguffins all the time and if this wasn't enough it had a tone of exposition scenes.
As for Thor not being able to summon back Stormbreaker, Iâd like to imagine thereâs a cut scene where he tries, but between Gorâs strength and Stormbreaker being mad at Thor, it fails to answer the summoning.

It was a 7/10 for me. It's a fun enjoyable movie but I agree it leaned too heavily on comedy. The child army was really cringey too. I really hope there's an extended edition released somewhere with more of Christian Bale.
Nah this is a solid 5, not good or bad, just no impression left
Gor was a terrible villain. The acting was okay, Thor beat him multiple times 1v1. The movie would even have happened if he didnât kidnap the children.
I didn't like how they made a point twice to feed Jane junk food. That's like one of the worst things you can give to someone with cancer, and I think a space viking would have known that. there's other things I would say too, like he would have known about frequency and energy for dealing with that. whole other area.
Joe you missed the montage of the sword tempting gorr with the idea of doing to eternity while he's being strangled
We saw gorr recieve visions of killing all the gods by reaching eternity when he got the necrosword, before killing the first god. It was explained.
The reason I saw mjolnir calling to Jane, cos he told mjolnir to protect her, so it could sense she was going to die, so the only way it could protect her was to make sure she would go to Valhalla

Yeah Thor imbued the hammer with power, it even showed the same symbol as when Odin did the same in the first Thor. This also establishes how Thor could do the same to the kids weapons, though I think the film lacked a moment where Thor realised he could do that.
Maybe you should score movies after talking about them, sometimes you could tell Joe regret the final vedict as he speaks more about them
I'd you notice when Gorr revives his daughter as she walks towards him you can see that her reflection is that of eternity
I feel like the problem with the film is, oddly, Thor himself. Partly because of the tonal issues, where it veers from drama to comedy so quickly it can sometimes give you whiplash, and most of that comedy is through Thor. But also because the thing that works best about the film is the dynamic between Gorr and Jane: a formerly devout mortal who became a god killer out of a sense of betrayal from his god, and a mortal woman of science who becomes a defender of gods, even though she knows it will kill her. That is a hell of a story. But it doesn't get enough time, because we need to have the love triangle of Thor and his two hammers.
As much as I hate to say it, the thing holding back Thor Love and Thunder is Thor.
The problem with the film is the writing, simple as that...
Tone down the running gags, add 5-10 more mins of gorr minimum, and make more parts serious
Yeah. But I think you picked up on that theme, and it's inclusion is enough considering the average mcu film goer. I understand though, it could have been...more explicit?
I think the movie has some great ideas, but they are never explored; gods being assholes, the parallels between Gorr and Jane, Thor realising his only true weakness is not being able to protect the ones he loves (and even if he does, he will see them die because he can live thousands of years)...
I also think they ran out of ideas about what to do with Thor himself, now they are taking the "tough guy becomes a single dad" cliche, which has been done to death.
Well we were all expecting it to be more like Infinity War or Endgame but instead it was not that way. Too much joking at it was a miss opportunity on using arsenal of two distinguished legends Christian Bale and Russell Crowe. They made Zeus out of too much of a joke and Gorr hardly got any screentime.
The team seems very relaxed on this review, and from what I'm reading, there's plenty of problems or criticism. I would have expected more yelling and screaming from such a colorful, and silly project
I think itâs because the peak of the mcu has passed, it will never come back so thereâs nothing to really beat it or improve and most people are in a fatigue of superheroes.
Even if they made the best movie put to film, most people are just clocked out.
Also doesnt help it feels like most of the works cant stand up on their own baseline.
I don't think they read the comics.
@Tripple A I really hate that, Disney will also Censor that to other countries cause they have no standards so what's the point. Again with this, if you hate a movie with gay characters or POC in it or some other stuff that needed representation, you must be a racist/homophobic/transphobic/bigot/sexist, that belief is dumb, maybe the movie or show is just bad, maybe its because it had bad writing, bad acting, bad pacing, terrible plots, or maybe it messaging something terrible. As this movie is just bad, they need to focus on great writing and constructing better plots and characters, not diversity or inclusion, they can have that, but to sacrifice making a good movie or show, just stupid.

You guys were very kind to this movie. Youâve ripped into obi-won I was expecting the same level of criticism for this movie.
This movie was not great and they wasted two very big characters in Gorr and Mighty Thor
As i mentioned at another comment, their rating system is haywire, completely off the charts with no underlying logical system. I think they just randomly toss numbers those days. Thankfully, this isn't the case at the reviews they do for games
I think when Eddie Brock got cancer he got a symbiote to help combat it, that's why Anti-Venom is white because of white blood cells or something.
Between Thor Love and Thunder and MoonKnight, I havent heard many people mention that the Gods are upset and the people arent so faithful to them is because of Kang and his timetravel. I think we will see more of this as Kang and his variants come to light.

I think Ragnarok was a fluke by Waititi. He seems like a one-trick pony hack to be honest.
The movie was OK, a lot of things to point out though. Definitely didn't go the direction I was expecting it to.
What happened was the Russo brothers were hands on for Ragnarok and didn't allow Taika to do whatever he wanted, so they let him do a little silly but refused to allow him to have the keys ..but after Ragnaroks success, they allowed him to do whatever he wanted and didn't give input, which the Russo brothers gave us infinity war and endgame....also they have read the comics , something Taika admits to never doing, letting him have full control was a massive mistake and Thor cannot be redeemed...the Russo brothers made him a super bad ass with gravitas in infinity was to a complete idiot who is a joke.
