Kuya Tal, the whole fam’s way of supporting you is by not skipping ads in both your channels every time we watch your vlogs in our respective gadgets no matter how long the ads are.
As an ex-military engineer who specialized in grading land. You need gravel and pure clay mixed together. Gravel and sandy dirt is not very effective. It doesn't stick together and harden as well. 😉👍🏼
If you hire unlicensed workers, your house will become a money pit. In regards to the gravel for the driveway, go buy it in truckloads. It's cheaper, and they'll dump it on the road where you need it to be, too. If you just cover the potholes with muddy water now, eventually, the ones without the gravel will again develop muddy holes. Do it right once, otherwise it will cost you more money.
Pay for an engineer to see if it's being done right. Worth the money for such a small house. Rather than keeping making costly mistakes. Are all those wooden doors treated?
Most of your viewers are more excited waiting for your house to finish coz they want to see you happy and enjoying it. We are with you and we know how frustrating it is to deal with it but we believe you are doing all the right things and you will make it through. Keep inspiring bro❤ and don’t just throw those roof sheets in the garbage for what i know you can sell that as scrap back there in the Philippines atleast get a little money back😉
It will come together. Perhaps it’s time to consult other builders? Try reach out to Eight Miles from Home vlog and Emy & Johan in the Philippines vlog bec they built accommodation so they worked with people. Working with other people you can get ideas from will help. As for the roads maybe you can dump soil or sand to add height to the holes and even out the roads. We’re waiting for the time you move in and make it cosy and have a happy home. You’re almost there 🏡🌴 So sorry to hear about your friend. Prayers for him 🙏🏻
Sorry about your friend. You’re doing the best you can on the house, it’s your place to build as you see fit. Everyone has an opinion of what, and how to do a project like this. What only matters is you own it, it’s coming along in it’s own time. Better to work steady, than to rush and end up costing more to redo things that were done in haste. Nice that your fixing to road, you know what the right things to do are, go with your decisions. Always learn what you can do better, from what you do now.
Looks these men are doing your house in half - measures which is costly in the end. Good luck, Tal. God bless. Persevere & will work out in the end. Hearing about your surfer friend, may he rest in peace. Amen 🌹🙏🌹
I can sense the frustration and the stress of dealing with local folks. If you can’t get or hire the right/skilled people your project could turn into a money pit. Hope you find help and trustworthy people. Good luck!
More $ but would be better if there is underlayment first like shade cloth. Otherwise the stone may be totally pushed down through the soil and (disappear.) oops I see too late now
Tal, I’m having a house built in Consolacion, try to go and visit a real construction. Go take a motorbike to the port of Dapa, and take a pumpboat to Consolacion. They leave around 10-11 am, fare is about P50. and less than an hour ride, you can come back later. When I come home to visit, I’ll get in touch with you, so you could visit.
I agree with you to fixed the road.👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍♥️♥️♥️⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Hi bro! I think you just chose the wrong location and got connected to wrong people. The construction workers you hired are mostly unskilled. I hope you get connected to the right people eventually. Stay strong.
You should have gotten an architect or civil engineer to begin with and get some blueprints. You spend a little bit more at the beginning but at the end of the day you spend less.
It's not to thin. They probably put the screws in the wrong part and dented it. On that size of the house, I could literally do the whole thing by myself in 1 day. Also, you can get a fiber glass Sealer and just paint your roof with the fiberglass and it won't leak. They sell it in five gallon drums. But you need to look at the roof and make sure it's not dented . If it is the water will sit there and pool till it leaks. Also I hope they're using screws with the rubber washer
I built my house with only the doors being made out of wood. My house was build with concrete and steel bars with metal roof. Ceiling was hardyplexs. Because the ants or termites will eat all the wood . It just a matter of time.
Respect for saving that bit for the end, could've done some very untasteful click bait but you handled that like a man. Can't imagine going thru that totally understand why you were so down the previous day. You got this my dawg this tiny house doesn't have shit on you ! I think the sunny day at the end of this video was a sign for the future
That’s why instead of saving money you will end up spending more if the workers are not skilled enough. To have an architect plan the house is the best thing to do.
*dirty kitchen?* you can use the scrap roof sheets and woods to building a "dirty kitchen" apparently, filipinos love to spend time in the "dirty kitchen" food preparation can be dirty sometimes, that's why a "dirty kitchen" helps a lot
I live in the US and every time we hire someone to fix or remodel some parts in our house, we only hire licensed/insured professional workers. We also research and interview their references as needed. Not sure if there’s a shortage of professional workers in Siargao, and I’m really sorry to hear that the tiny house has turned into a money pit. Also sorry to hear about your friend’s passing. Take care and God bless😊
Hello Tal i think that road is an access road a private road and the govt has no responsibility. It should be the neighborhood's initiatives and your neighbors should pitch in with the expenses but sadly they can't. Its not their priority.. Thank you for leading them😊
I accidentally found your vlog while channel hopping. I remember months ago the house was damaged by a typhoon and you were disgusted and left the country. Is this the same place and video? Are you back at it again.
Ummm I wasn't disgusted hahaha, I live in Siargao it's my home. I went home to make some money and recover a bit from the trauma, came back and working on the house 😄
Btw, are you within General Luna or close to it. My family and I are making plan in 2 years to visit and maybe stay for a few months. Checking around for a reasonable accommodation. Thank you in advance.
Just worried about ur investment as wasted, if u don't own the land as a foreigner.......Hmm....Just sell it to the land owner to rid urself of more worries....
should've just fixed the road leading to your house first and as the neighborhood notice how much better it is, it will give them or the Government some initiative to get off their a$$e$.
HAVE YOUR SUBSCRIBERS DONATE SOME $$$ TO YOU FOR YOUR ROOF. BTW, WHY DID YOU AGREE WITH HAVING A THIN ROOF? DO NOT SETTLE FOR CHEAP MATERIALS. AT THE END OF THE DAY, YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR.
not good worker befor angbbad typoon destroyed your houaw before,,, but still think ositive like Pilipino stand and figth again face the challengest of life!!! 😥😂😂👍💪👏👏🙏🫰

or just use the for you chicken coop or what ever :D dnt throw away your scrap!
Use the scrap to cover the worst parts of the road and put gravel on top? I'm no engineer just a thought.

Tal, a Pinay here and lives 20 minutes to Washington D.C…, it’s not great here either. Crime are getting worst 😢

nice house we used to watch your old channel

Kuya Tal the house looking good 😍 Patience pays off
You need to raise the roof pitch. That will make the water roll faster. Nipa roofing also need a high roof pitch to to function well.
Maybe raising the angle of the roof might solve it like an "A" frame house.
I can relate to you, just don’t give up finish your house and feel proud of your achievement.
❤👏👏👏👍 your house is awesome! Love it 🎈🎈🎈
Wow! Your place looks much, much better. 👍🏼❤️
I can sense the frustration and the stress of dealing with local folks. If you can’t get or hire the right/skilled people your project could turn into a money pit. Hope you find help and trustworthy people. Good luck!
Your getting there hoping for the best
Your problem never ends, beacause you used light materials in your construction.
More $ but would be better if there is underlayment first like shade cloth. Otherwise the stone may be totally pushed down through the soil and (disappear.) oops I see too late now

I think this is an old video. I watched a video of your friend (black African)with your finished house really nice.
Mister, you only THINK and not a hands-on knowledge of what actually is going on with Tal's house.😮
You should have gotten an architect or civil engineer to begin with and get some blueprints. You spend a little bit more at the beginning but at the end of the day you spend less.
Lots of things I should have done! 😂😅
It's not to thin. They probably put the screws in the wrong part and dented it. On that size of the house, I could literally do the whole thing by myself in 1 day. Why should he start painting the roof so it won't leak when he just needs a decent roof put on by real roofers! Ridiculous.
@@sandrabentley8111 because he could have saved money 💰 by not having to put a new roof.
maybe the lot for the access road going to your lot is private. it must be a donated lot so that govt can fix the road.
You have a nice tiny house, I watched it sa blog ng friend mong African.😊
How can you watch a blog? 😅 He obviously a vlogger that doesn't make sense!
I built my house with only the doors being made out of wood. My house was build with concrete and steel bars with metal roof. Ceiling was hardyplexs. Because the ants or termites will eat all the wood . It just a matter of time.
use your replaced roof as perimeter fence.
Respect for saving that bit for the end, could've done some very untasteful click bait but you handled that like a man. Can't imagine going thru that totally understand why you were so down the previous day. You got this my dawg this tiny house doesn't have shit on you ! Appreciate you brother, so much love to you!
Never a Good Deed Goes Unpunished
Keep trying Tal.
You know I will!
The roof sheets maybe lapped wrong or too close. Check for screw holes without screws. There is a bitumin tape and tar like paint for roofs that leak.
It’s better if u dump sands on it first then the gravels.
That’s why instead of saving money you will end up spending more if the workers are not skilled enough. To have an architect plan the house is the best thing to do.
Metal scraps is not hard to despose off.
*dirty kitchen?*
you can use the scrap roof sheets and woods to building a "dirty kitchen"
apparently, filipinos love to spend time in the "dirty kitchen"
food preparation can be dirty sometimes, that's why a "dirty kitchen" helps a lot
🤘🤘🤘
1 truck of gravel is enough for your road and it will not cost you 20k. It 5x cheaper.
You can still make money out of that expensive mistake. Sell the thin corrugated roofing as scrap. Junkshops buy them per kilo
Feel bad for you bro.. 😔 I think its better for you to just hire a legot contractor. Who will finish the job according to your plans
It stinks to be getting same problem and you feel screwed. It will come together!!
I live in the US and every time we hire someone to fix or remodel some parts in our house, we only hire licensed/insured professional workers. Just worried about ur investment as wasted, if u don't own the land as a foreigner.......Hmm....Just sell it to the land owner to rid urself of more worries....
previous roof is cheap and of low quality
👍😎🇵🇭🤿! Hang in there it will all work out!
Your house has turned into a Money Pit. We hope this nightmare ends.
You hired the wrong people Tal from the very beginning and that is the problem
Get another carpenter
I don’t trust them..
should've just fixed the road leading to your house first and as the neighborhood notice how much better it is, it will give them or the Government some initiative to get off their a$$e$.
