How to make chess pieces from patterned plywood

But I did not have any chess pieces that fit this chessboard, so then you have to make some yourself? I started by gluing together some pieces that were scrapers from when I made the chessboard, but this was not enough for all the pieces so I had to cut and glue together some more plywood.

The stain I used for the dark piece is a water-based interior stain from Jotun. Then I varnished all the pieces with a clear varnish in four coats.
