      We've grown complacent, it's a birthright. It's where God put us. Well folks, I'd rather welcome and love those people from the outside that love this country and what she stands for than all of the America Haters that were born here ten times over.
      America is an IDEA, and she is also IDEAL. There are plenty of American loving idealists across this globe that may just be the ones who save her.
      We elected a Lt. Governor for Virginia that was born outside these borders. She gets it so much she put her life on the line to protect this country.

      Differences between Parchment, Vellum and Paper
      The term parchment is a general term for an animal skin which has been prepared for writing or printing. Parchment has been made for centuries, and is usually calf, goat, or sheep skin. The term vellum from the French veau refers to a parchment made from calf skin. The manufacture of parchment is quite involved. After the skin is removed from the animal and any hair or flesh is cleaned away, it is stretched on a wooden frame. While it is stretched, the parchment maker or parchminer scrapes the surface of the skin with a special curved knife. In order to create tension in the skin, scraping is alternated by wetting and drying the skin. The parchment is scraped, wetted, and dried several times to bring it to the right thickness and tautness. Sometimes a final finish is achieved using pumice as an abrasive followed by chalk in order to prepare the surface of the skin to accept ink.
      Parchment has traditionally been used instead of paper for important documents such as religious texts, public laws, indentures, and land records as it has always been considered a strong and stable material. The five pages of the U.S. Constitution as well as the Declaration of Independence, the Bill of Rights, and the Articles of Confederation are written on parchment.
      The terms parchment and vellum are also used in the paper making industry. Parchment paper is made from cellulose fibers prepared from fir trees or plants such as cotton or flax. Paper can be made which mimics the thickness and smooth surface of parchment. The terms refer to the finish of the paper and should not be relied upon as an indicator of its long term stability.

    In today's environment, the understanding of many is darkened and clouded by illogical philosophy, improper application, and ambition and avarice. If you would not know it from the "E Plebneista", this snippet is for you. I would place the study of Our Constitution right up there with the study of the Scriptures in importance. Ours is the light on the hill, a metaphor for the Freedom that Christ brings. The light is dimming, and there are those who threaten to extinguish it...

      To be honest the Constitution was meant to benefit EVERYONE, not just a few individuals. And it is not the wording of the Constitution that is important, it is the purpose and spirit behind it. It is supposed to represent freedom and equality for all because it is the right thing to do. It is not a document to be abused. The right to bear arms does not entitle people to simply have guns for the sake of having one. With that comes responsibility towards others as well. That is where the NRA is wrong. Everyone is entitled to life and liberty and if you want to own a gun then you must be morally held accountable to it.

    • @STho205
      @STho205 Před 5 lety +1

      neil abesamis. Well said. Huzzah.
      These liberties are secured for the propose of personal responsibility, not whim or vanity. If you speak and assemble freely in public forum, your words should carry weight and be for the benefit of generations, not personal tantrums or quests for self power over others. If you write, do so for the betterment of the reader not to abuse your neighbor. If you pray, do not do so as the hypocrites do in showy spectacle, but in earnest and honest humility. If you hold arms, it is for the protection of all. You should mean no harm to your community, but also refuse to accept harm.
      For this our parents risked their lives and many of their brothers lost dear life. For this I will risk my life, for my friends. No one has greater love than this.
      This expresses my idea of democracy. That which differs from this, to the extent of the difference, is no democracy.

    • @gregoryeatroff8608
      @gregoryeatroff8608 Před 4 lety

      You don't need to be literate to talk well. Pre-literate cultures value good speaking skills. Look at some of the epic poetry created in illiterate societies: The Iliad and the Odyssey in Greece (which had lost literacy in the dark age following the collapse of Bronze Age civilization, and got it back later after Phoenecians introduced them to the concept of the alphabet) or Beowulf among the early Anglo-Saxons. This stuff got written down later, but it was all part of an oral tradition first.
